Del Toro kept me in awe and made imaginative choices. Oscar was an excitable Victor, full of verve, vigor and craft. Mia cast a bright shine whenever she appeared and her dresses were resplendent. Elordi lent the creature beauty and humanity. There were times where I saw the actor underneath but it was only an x-ray. The man was fully invested. The story was inspiring, the style elegant, the horror realistic and the action pulsating. 09-Nov-2025
Monster: The Ed Gein Story (2025) 
Hunnan's depiction is the main reason we anticipate. He was pitch perfect and sublime. A Joker in the making. Lighting made him appear like a a tight Peacemaker sometimes, at others, detached and always anybody but himself. Casting was challenging. The actor portraying Hitch sounded better than he represented. It was Hitch on Ozempic. Anthony Perkins was tall, skinny as a toothpick and had nervous characteristics that glued him to a psychopath. That was not apparent to the actor portraying him or the one who hired him. Tobe Hooper was unwound? Adeline had moments. Christine Jorgensen was spot on. A man can create life but only a woman can guide it. The frills were sometimes burps between segment changes. It's eeriness was special, the thoughts were well constructed and the monster breaks our heart. Is that right? 07-Oct-2025
An A+ assignment that did extra credit. Machines against humanity even as they become. The villains are DC worthy, the human/machine analogy is intriguing and the actors are treating the story with care. It's a joy to be scared without Pazuzu's involvement. 10-Sep-2025
Having Gladys marry a foreigner and sending her mother to save her was great. I hope Oscar redeems himself. I hope Marian doesn’t get engaged, ever. I never understood why they were calling the footman a Clock Twink until the last season. Good for him. Adding Rashad as a villain is right up her alley. She and Audra need to take it to the streets. I felt Aunt Gladys’ pain and how hilarious she was. Mr. Russell needs a makeover. They found the bullet that can strike through Bertha’s heart and it was impressive. I disliked Nathan Lane’s southern depiction from beginning to end. The accent was awful. 25-Aug-2025
As scary as the little fucker was, the monkey's structure was undefined. I got most of the gist but a lot of it was fogged up. If it can destroy towns why didn't it do it in the first place? How does the monkey choose who to kill and when it stops? The attacks were coordinated but sense killed a lot of it. It excels in the least likeliest of places: a solid story, emotional balance, talent and imagination. I wanted to stay in their lives and deconstruct the monkey. Theo James wasted no emotion or thought in his performance and was very effective. The young twins blew me away. I didn't know it was one actor portraying both. When they were onscreen together I kept thinking, "they must be fraternal because they don't look that much alike." It was impressive. It had all the elements to elevate itself but the monkey's mythology was weak and very Final Destination. 08-Aug-2025
Full of culture, history, vibrance and originality. I did twitch a little in the beginning but everyone was working so hard to tell a story that I couldn't resist. The blues were everywhere. It is unfortunate that the performance at the bar lacked the oomph the folk music got. A surprise diva would have brought down the house. Even the limited characters left a mark. The cast stripped their personas without losing watts. The cliches were rewritten to better express a different culture and they fit. Bravo to the talent for creating their own thing. 05-Jul-2025
S3 brought back what was missing in the second season, clever games and family heartbreak. I gave up on the technical side because I know it won't add up and it would skew my opinion but they shot through our hearts in subtle and beautiful ways. The trans was heroic and sympathetic, the grandma broke our hearts and the lead was magnificent. That face. I finally understood his character, his pride and redemption. The extra game member seemed gimmicky but it worked because it got to the heart of the matter. Knives and keys was a gripping episode because of the surprises, heartbeats and bravery. The games were creative and scary as fuck. The asides halted the momentum and achieved little purpose but the detective was pretty as fuck. The actors were a crew and they showed it. It isn't better than the first but it's a fitting end. 04-Jul-2025
S2 is missing something. Impact. A feeling of exhaustion permeated and interrupted some of the proceedings. The games didn't rivet, the cast was stereotypically goofy, compassion was limited and sense started to drag. The ship shenanigans didn't have closure or purpose. I presume the save will be last minute in S3. Thinking you can overtake a heavily guarded facility is ludicrous. In life I doubt that a majority of people would choose to die. I wanted to see people go home. Why doesn't anyone hook up? A grab and a rub here and there wouldn't hurt. How do the men deal with morning wood? I'm losing empathy. 04-Jan-2025
If you can't afford happy things, you become bitter, if your are unable to provide, you become addicted and if you can't eat, you die. It's called poverty. A group of instinctual individuals are given the opportunity to have their financial struggles resolved. They have to play children's games that are only safe in rhythm but not rhyme. If you lose, you die. If you win, it's a lot. The characters are specific, writing is a brainstorm and the whole is an abundance of I've never seen anything like this before. 07-Oct-2021

This is the third film I've completed starring Shirley Temple. I tuned into the others but one was because of Elizabeth Taylor. I recognized her history because bits and pieces of her legend were always there. I found her talented and cutesy. She's not an actual princess (TG) but a daughter of a distinguished man that is widowed and in charge of spoiling her. He satisfied all her whims, had adorable phrases between them, missed each other dearly when apart and daddy was loaded. FF. Daddy goes to war in South Africa and she is sent to a high falutin school that can use the clout and his money. She lives a life of luxury amongst resentful girls and a few good friends. She is informed that daddy died in war and the enemy stole his assets. The girl is broke and the school footed her luxurious lifestyle expecting recompense. The marm nixes the idea of throwing her out because bad publicity would fuck them. The people decide that the child can redeem herself by becoming a servant. Temple's talent grows as the movie rolled along. Her friends and hope toughened her up so she wouldn't give up or disappoint the audience. She took over like a pro. The film is not dark. The film is cheerful, sweet, undemanding and it presents to kids the pitfalls of growing up, without overloading them. The Joker played a respectable Indian and was a hoot. The School Mistress looked exactly how one would fear. It's corny but it was true. A restoration would befit it. It would sparkle and be presented on Father's or Soldiers Day. 25-Jun-2025
The performers were in sync hitting their marks allowing co-stars to follow. Dialogue described the pain in loving and surviving after death. The father's illness was not a prop to fit the story but a slice of what he may be experiencing. Once my curiosity peaked I faithfully followed. Boy goes into cave during a storm and his older brother and friend fail to rescue him. 15 years later he returns to town to visit his sick dad and unforgivable mother. A lot of the town resent him for surviving. With girlfriend and child in tow they have to battle the consequences of everyone's actions esp. after another death happens. It is written by people who live life instead of brag about it. The twists and turns throw us off the scent but the reveal played it safe when realizing scary clues would have elevated the heartbreak. The cast were too good to single out. Jessica De Gouw's hair was retro hot. I know I singled her out but only because her hair was so there. How could I keep my mouth shut? 14-Jun-2025

Ralph Fiennes made fucking a priest less criminal. Ditto Tucci. Lithgow reinterpreted De Palma creepiness to great success. I was educated, enlightened, intrigued and delighted. Wow. Penguins see color too. Fred Zinnemann inspirations abound and they were welcomed. Isabella slayed like Nurse Ratchett. Joe Rosenberg is little boys raised to woo a woman like only a fake prince could. Male awakenings are destructive and mentally detrimental. The premise simplified things to improve characterization. Good choice. A happy marriage to a foreign twat and reunited with a relinquished child, Joe is living the life of a planner, pioneer and romanticist. The wife has secrets and Joe has plenty of funny quips to unlock them. Joe's flubs were used to diminish his endurance as a famous serial killer. He was brushed off. Bringing people back from the dead, unless it's Ripley, Xena or Buffy is detrimental to reality. Women need an army to bring one man down. What a waste of taxpayer's money. Meet and greet with couple psycho could have been more casual, less criminal and more romantic. Ms Camp steals and saves a lot of her scenes because it took me a while to recognize her as another character and because I laughed when I found out. Pen went there and was brilliant. His breakdown was cathartic. The ladies reinforced that what restrains a man isn't himself but a notion. My finale would have consisted of him going Jason Vorhees on everybody without the mask, a bare chest, naked, weopanized and killing to the max. 10-May-2025

S3E9. The dork talks to dead people, now? It's a lazy writing gimmick. Who's bankrolling the fancy cages? Why is the entrance to the cage not padlocked? How do people shit in that cage? Psycho settles into suburban madness. The psychology is rewritten to fit a desperate suburbanite. Pretension is the clarification of ascension. Psychos don't have bouts of good feelings. If they do it's the reason they're killing. Silence as I listened to Penn Badgley make me laugh, hurl and cum. Respect to Victoria Pedretti's restraint as a frustrated woman. I celebrate Mike White on his merits, introspective moments, overall arcs and emotionally violent closures. Patrick had daddy dna and Tom Cruise energy. Lek established herself legendary by being unforgettable. The tooth fairy sprinkled fairy dust and allowed me to relax in her vulnerable world. Goggins ignited me when he played trans with luscious boobs and biker milf status. His best performance moments were in his eyes and his beautiful teeth. Parker Posey was its biggest draw but was saddled with a shadowed ending. Jason Isaacs has super daddy capabilities. Every time I saw him I wanted to throw him down and suck his daddy pain away. The besties grew but didn't resolve. I'm glad momma had a happy ending but she could have reached that goal by selling her son. He was gorgeous. Valentin had phony act charm that kept him fuckable. Each episode was filmed in one continuous shot. I thought that would distract me from enjoying it. "Oh, shit, I missed out on what they're saying because I was too busy studying shots." There is a short adjustment period but it's worth it. The subject matters. Boys are lost in a world that wants to soften them whilst expecting heroic things. The only way a man can break a woman's power is to rage and destroy. The boy feels inadequate and his audience is judging him. The family are all about honor and doing the right thing. The dad had great reactions, the protagonist frustrated like a real child, I can watch black daddy cop run all day, the psychiatrist's facade crumbling was classic talent, it took me forever to find out what that last word meant and all the support was great. The chase didn't stumble, the cameras kept moving, actors knew their places, writing was thought provoking and it was realistically accurate. It was about adolescence and the adults who shape them. 27-Mar-2025
Angelina Jolie is radiant as the legendary Callas whose last days were riddled with identity issues, loss of art and purpose. Some of the historical tidbits were interesting to discover and the film was as luscious as its protagonist. As soon as Jolie opens her mouth to sing the film establishes the work and the craft it must have taken to complete her transformation. The relationships registered, the melancholy smoked and Angelina Jolie was its greatest effect. 06-Feb-2025
