Eric Andre says 'James Corden is fucked' if not being nice gets you cancelled

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Andre said: “Boohoo, Ellen was mean. Who gives a shit? I never thought she was nice! She seems like she’d be like, ‘Fucking get me a coffee! Now!’”

“‘That guy’s not nice!’ James Corden is fucked if that’s the only criteria to get called out.”

“James Corden and Lorne Michaels are screwed! They’re trembling in their fucking boots,” he added.

For fifth year in a row, hate crimes rise in Orange County — and by 24%

From slurs to physical confrontations, hate crimes in Orange County rose in 2019 for the fifth year in a row, and by a huge leap, 24%.

A majority of the crimes involved the perpetrator attacking the victim for his or her race, national origin or ethnicity.

Although Black people constitute less than 2% of Orange County’s nearly 3.2 million residents, they were the most targeted racial group, according to the report.

Among the hate crimes motivated by religious prejudice, members of the Jewish community were the primary targets, representing about two-thirds of 44 hate incidents, followed by Catholics, other Christians and Muslims, according to the report. Among crimes related to victims’ sexual orientation and gender identity, a majority of the cases were antigay, followed by antifemale and antitransgender.

Brazen cop who filmed vile transphobic rap calling for Hillary Clinton’s execution while in uniform escapes firing

Robert Sisco was placed on administrative leave after he posted a video of himself rapping in his car while in uniform and with his name tag on show: “There’s only two genders and Trump’s still your president / Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina.”

After the video of the New Patz cop went viral in June, town board officials sought to have him fired. However it was announced Wednesday (October 21) that a settlement had been struck with the Police Benevolent Association of New York State, a law enforcement labour union, and Sisco.

Trailer Park Landlord Allegedly Threatened Tenants With Rent Hike If Biden Wins

A Colorado landlord allegedly sent the tenants of his trailer park a letter warning of big rent increases if Joe Biden is elected president.

“Please understand IF Joe Biden is elected as our next President, everything you do and have to pay for will change completely,” the landlord of the Fort Morgan trailer park allegedly wrote, according to a letter obtained by Denver NBC station KUSA. “Everything will be increased. Like paying ALOT more in taxes, utilities, gasoline, groceries, new permits, fees and regulations…everything! This also means YOUR RENT will be increased to cover these expenses. Most likely, rent would DOUBLE in price!”

‘Just no’: JLo just dropped a song with Maluma. It didn’t go over well with everyone

Apparently JLo’s new song with Maluma, “Lonely,” contains lyrics that some people find offensive.

Case in point: “Yo siempre seré tu negrita del Bronx,” translates to “I will always be your little black girl from The Bronx.”

The term “negrita” is used in many Latino cultures as a term of endearment, kind of like the word “gorda,” which doesn’t equate to “fat,” but “cutie.” Or “mama,” which can be even used on small children in place of “honey.”

“I don’t like JLo She’s just a wanna be black girl that can hit a two step. She’s an All Lives Matter supporter and now she’s calling herself a ‘black girl from the Bronx.’ idk why she still makes music my dog has better vocal agility than her. Just no.”

‘Just no’: JLo just dropped a song with Maluma. It didn’t go over well with everyone

My mother called me negrito all the time and it was the sweetest meltiest thing. I knew it was not full of malice because her heart thumped whenever she said it and if that's fake I'm outta here. Black people are so persistent that the word is an abomination that they only use it only to humiliate their own, sell some records or control all sexual situations. For latinos it means lots of celebrations with hugs, kisses, talent, sex and loud music. It's our culture and no one outside of us needs to question it. We have our own customs and our own rights. 21-Oct-2020

Man drove 500 miles to kill his lesbian daughter after she came out

A father threatened to kill his 19-year-old daughter when she came out to him on the phone and then drove 500 miles without stopping to confront her.

The woman, who goes to college in Narbonne in the south of France, said that she started dating another woman and was slowly coming out to her friends as a lesbian. Last week, she called her father who lives in the northeastern city of Strasbourg and came out to him.

The man, 52, would later tell investigators that he was trembling with anger when his daughter came out to him. The daughter said that he threatened to kill her during their phone conversation.

On Friday morning, he got in his car and drove all the way to her college without stopping.

Judge Rules Disney Free to Fire Employee Who Took Paternity Leave Because His Wife, Not Him, Was Pregnant

A U.S. District Judge has ruled that a former Disney Streaming Service employee “isn’t a member of a protected class” in a lawsuit claiming the employee was fired after the company possibly found out his wife was pregnant by hacking into his personal emails and phone. Obviously, this is not normal workplace behavior, but apparently does not fall under the umbrella of pregnancy discrimination law.

“‘By way of example, Plaintiff was expecting a child but had not disclosed that information to anyone at the Company’ states the complaint, which was filed in New York federal court. ‘Yet, Mr. McConnell [Soeren’s supervisor], in an unrelated conversation, blurted out to Plaintiff, ‘maybe you shouldn’t have a kid.’ Likewise, Mr. Paglia [a co-worker] sent Plaintiff an unsolicited video of children developing in utero. The same sentiments were harbored by Jennifer Kaufmann, Associate Director of UX & Design, who asked if Plaintiff had a good reason for having a child. Mr. McConnell also stated, within hearing distance of Plaintiff, ‘I don’t know why he [Plaintiff] decided to have a kid. At 30 my wife and I thought about it but decided that we’d wait until 40.’”

Man Allegedly Yelled ‘Black Lives Don’t Matter’ Before Breaking Black Teen’s Jaw With Bike Chain

A Michigan man who allegedly yelled “Black lives don’t matter” before breaking a Black teen’s jaw with a bike chain has been charged with committing a hate crime.

Lee Mouat, 42, was walking with his family at a public beach in Monroe, Michigan on June 6 when he allegedly started complaining loudly about the music a group of Black teens was playing, according to a criminal complaint affidavit uploaded Tuesday by the U.S. Justice Department.

Mouat, who is white, allegedly commented on the teens’ “gang music” and referred to the three young men as “n-----s” and “monsters,” according to one witness.

“I wish somebody would say something to me so I can beat them,” the witness recalled Mouat saying, according to the affidavit.

Gay waiter says boss punched him so hard he knocked his tooth out in violent homophobic attack – all because he wore the wrong shoes

In November 2019, Emilio Branchinelli of Emilio’s Pizzeria & Ristorante in Long Island, New York allegedly punched waiter Michael Abenante so hard that a tooth flew out of his mouth.

The shocking homophobic attack was witnessed by several other staff members and was sparked by Abenante wearing black Converse shoes to work, the suit claims.

Branchinelli was enraged by the sight of them and ordered the server to buy new shoes on his break or “find another fucking job,” wrote attorney John Luke Jr. in the complaint.

But when Abenante returned with a new pair, his boss told him they were not the right shoes. “You look like a fucking homo mountain climber, are you fucking stupid?” he allegedly barked at him.

Jaden Smith Once Told Ellen DeGeneres He Was Going to ‘Buy’ His Parents’ House and Give Them a ‘Little Apartment’

Here’s what Jaden told Ellen DeGeneres about eventually hoping to purchase his parents’ home.

Later in the interview, DeGeneres told Jaden he must be making quite a lot of earnings from his films.

“I understand you’re saving money for something special,” DeGeneres told Jaden. “What are you saving for?”

“I’m gonna buy my parents’ house,” the child admitted.

“You’re gonna buy your parents’ house from them?” DeGeneres clarified.

“From them, yes,” Jaden clarified. Then, when DeGeneres asked if Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith would be living with Jaden after he purchases their home, Jaden further explained he’d get them a new place. “No, I’m gonna give them a little apartment.”

“Will that be in the backyard?” DeGeneres continued. “Or, where will that apartment be?”

Why some Latino essential workers remain overlooked amid racial reckoning protests

The vast majority of Latinos living in the U.S. (around 60.6 million) are not undocumented, but 15.7% lived in poverty in 2019, a number that had been falling, but is still more than double their white counterparts, according to Census data.

Latinos also make up a large portion of the labor force in service sectors that were considered essential after the COVID-19 pandemic started (some 65%) -- like some construction, health care and food service workers -- leaving them at higher risk of being exposed to the disease without the protections typically afforded first responders and other traditional essential workers.

"Why are Latinos dying at a higher rate? Because we have no choice," said Frankie Miranda, the president of the Hispanic Federation, which supports Latino-led non-profits around the country. "We have to go to work, stock the shelves, deliver the food, be the sanitation workers, and of course we don't have the protective gear or any kind of information that can help us really navigate this. We know this for sure because our member agencies -- that were already underfunded and under-resourced -- were the ones that needed to step in and be the first responders for our communities."

When asked why he believes the Mexican community has not jumped into action and demanded racial equality following the Black Lives Matter protests, Alvarez suggested: "We are too afraid. Even if you want to do a peaceful protest, you don't want to be arrested because you can get deported."

Alvarez's case points to another situation that many Latinos say is affecting the community: lack of unity.
