Barbie's boyfriend Ken gets a makeover: Cornrows, man buns and new skin tones
NEW YORK - He’s been overshadowed by Barbie for decades, but now Ken is finally getting some attention.
Mattel is introducing 15 new looks for the male doll, including different skin tones, body shapes and hair styles.
Barbie had a similar makeover more than a year ago, both part of the toy company’s plan to make its dolls more diverse and appealing to today’s kids.
Ken hadn’t changed much since he was introduced 56 years ago as Barbie’s blue-eyed, chiseled boyfriend. Now he’ll be sold in three body shapes: “slim,” “broad” and “original.”
He’ll have modern hairdos, such as cornrows and man buns, and come in seven skin tones. And he’ll also be sporting new fashions: think skinny ties, plaid shirts and graphic tees.

The hottest fashion trend of the summer the Romper, er, RompHim, has hit the streets of New York City and – not surprisingly – it’s polarizing.
QPark hit Washington Heights, Harlem, and Times Square, but didn’t hit the gay neighborhoods of Chelsea and Hells Kitchen, though there’s little doubt some copycat clips will pop up shortly.

My plans with friend are spoiled when she’s handed her grandkids without warning
I have a serious issue with my best girlfriend. We make plans together, adult plans, and then at the last minute, her kids drop the young grandkids off for her to babysit, curtailing any plans we have together. The past few times, we have changed our plans to a “kids” activity.
I have an extremely busy client load, and I’m losing income by accommodating my friend’s time constraints, which revolve around making her husband’s lunch and dinner. Although I’m single now (I am a widow), I do understand why she has her priorities. If her grandkids are there when we have plans, she asks me to pick them up fast food on the way over — on my dime.
I have kids and grandkids myself, and they are important to me. I’m tired of being held hostage by her adult children who I feel are using her and taking advantage of the “drop-in day care” with Nana. How can I talk to her about our time being important, too? I have intentionally NOT made plans with my grandkids if she and I have plans, and I would love some reciprocity. — THROWN UNDER THE BUS

Monogamy May Be Even More Difficult For Women Than it Is For Men
It’s a widely held belief that monogamy comes more naturally to women than it does to men. A lot of people subscribe to a narrative that says the sexes are just “wired” differently, with women having evolved to be monogamous and men to be promiscuous.
There’s just one problem with this line of thinking—it’s not true, according author Wednesday Martin’s latest book. In UNTRUE: Why Nearly Everything We Believe About Women, Lust, and Infidelity is Wrong and How the New Science Can Set Us Free , Martin offers a provocative read based on the latest research studies and interviews with experts in human sexuality that challenges us to think differently about women and sex. She sets the record straight on a number of false beliefs about female sexuality in particular, including when and why women cheat.

Man cured his stuffy nose by MASTURBATING - and doctors explain it DOES work
A man claimed that masturbating cleared his sinuses - and doctors said he was right.
Skyler, a husband from Arizona, said that when he couldn't fall asleep due to his stuffy nose, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He appeared on the show The Doctors where the professionals broke down the science behind his X-rated trick. They explained that during an orgasm the muscles contract around the body, including inside the nose, which can temporarily relieve sinus pressure for both men and women.
Research has shown orgasms can also help with the immune system, insomnia, stress, pain and overall help live longer.

Amazon's Alexa can now help you with sexy time 'baby making' music
After all the shopping and TV watching, Amazon knows you also like to do other things, like, the sex, for example.
To help facilitate this most natural of human activities, Amazon has now given Alexa the power to help you out with music specially designed to help set the right mood.
Now, when Amazon Music users interact with Alexa, they can issue commands “Alexa, play baby making jazz music” or even "Alexa, play hooking up music." And you know what? It actually works. Every time I tried either command, Alexa started playing a song that could easily be deemed appropriate for excursions into the realm of the intimate.

Watching Cartoons Has Helped Me Manage My Mental Illness
More than six years ago, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and depression. The traditional approaches ? exercise, journaling and breathing skills ? have helped, as has medication. And I watch cartoons.
Yes, this year I discovered a surprising degree of comfort in a 12-year-old boy named Steven Universe.
Animated series have become my unlikely ally in fighting depression and anxiety. Over the past year, I have turned to cartoons again and again. My mind begins to feel at ease, my worries disappear and, sometimes, unlike in the rest of my life, I even laugh.
The joy and fun that I’ve felt while watching cartoons like Fox’s “Bob’s Burgers” and Cartoon Network’s “Adventure Time” left me wondering if cartoons may actually be a significant tool for mental health. And it turns out that watching cartoons when you’re feeling low can be a good idea.
