Parents are outraged over an American Girl doll’s lesbian aunts

The American Girl Doll brand has caused controversy by doing what anti-LGBTQ people find unthinkable: introducing a doll with LGBTQ family members.

The Mattel-owned imprint created a backstory for its 2021 Girl of the Year Doll, Kira Bailey, who is 10-years-old and has visited her two married aunts in Australia. The same-sex couple also owns a wildlife sanctuary, but it was their fictional relationship that had American Girl fans wildly upset.

A TikTok by American Girl Doll collector Rebecca Nachman reviewed the controversy, which grew quickly in combination with the fact that American Girl is publishing an anti-racism children’s book, featuring dolls of color.

Sex doll sales soar with gay people and couples fuelling demand

One sex doll company has released sales figures showing more people bought dolls in the first three months of the year than in the whole of 2019.

Their stats show gay and bi men and women are even more likely than other men and women to have bought one of the dolls.

Likewise, same-sex couples are also keen to add one of the dolls to their bedroom fun.

But the biggest rise of all appears to be among experimental heterosexual couples. That would appear to mean that some people in ‘straight’ relationships are using the lockdown to enjoy their bi side.

Two children killed as bouncy castle swept into air by whirlwind

Two children are dead and another 20 people are injured after a "dust devil" lifted an inflatable playhouse and other debris into the air in central China.

Chinese state media said the incident had taken place at a "scenic spot" in Henan province at about 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Shocking videos of the incident were shared widely on Chinese social media, showing a large, colorful, inflatable playhouse being picked up and carried high into the air as dust swirled through the area.

9-year-old hangs herself after mom told her not to play on cellphone

A 9-year-old girl hanged herself in her Bronx home — after her mother told her it was too early in the morning to be on her cellphone, sources and neighbors said Sunday.

Heaven Vega was found dead by her horrified mom, Jennifer, in her bedroom at the family’s apartment in the Bronx River Houses shortly before noon Saturday, authorities said.

The child had tied a belt around her neck and hanged herself from her bed, police said.
