Teens in Make America Great Again hats taunted a Native American elder at the Lincoln Memorial
A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and mocked them after Friday's Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial.
Videos of the confrontation show a smiling young man in a red Make America Great Again hat standing directly in front of the man, who was playing a drum and chanting. Other kids could be seen laughing, jumping around and making fun of the chants.
"I did not feel safe in that circle," said Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia who participated in the march and shot the videos.
Shocking video of two churches pushing ex-gay therapy may help end the practice
While more US states prepare to ban so-called ex-gay conversion therapy, the harmful practice of trying to change someone’s sexual orientation remains legal through the UK. And a recent TV report has captured disturbing footage of two UK churches claiming that God can “fix” gay people.
An ITV investigative report revealed that Journey UK and World Mission Agency – Winners Chapel International (WMA-WCI) both advocate the idea that one can pray the gay away.
A man from Journey UK spoke to an undercover ITV reporter about how certain activities can help lessen one’s feelings of same-sex attraction. A pastor from WMA-WCI told the reporter that gay people are under Satan’s control and compared positive media depictions of gay people to Nazi propaganda.
The WMA-WCI pastor also said a 20-minute prayer over the reporter, even speaking in tongues, presumably attempting to “heal” him.
Jewish group says K-Pop band BTS should apologize over Nazi-style hats
Korean boy band BTS have been criticized by a Jewish human rights group for posing in headgear featuring a Nazi-style symbol.
In a statement posted on its website, the Simon Wiesenthal Center alleged that the popular K-pop group had posed in hats displaying the Death's-Head symbol of the SS -- the organization that oversaw the Nazi concentration camps.
Noting that the group were dropped last week from a planned Japanese TV appearance after one of its members wore a T-shirt that appeared to celebrate the atomic bombing of the Japanese city of Nagasaki, the center's associate dean and director of global social action, Rabbi Abraham Cooper, said that the group owed both the "people of Japan and the victims of the Nazism an apology."
Black voters won’t take the Blexit ramp to vote for Trump
In an effort to radically change the dynamic, conservative television pundit Candace Owens is urging black Americans to join her in a new political campaign to break bonds with a half-century of fealty to Democrats. Her movement is called “Blexit.” You see what she did there: black and exit.
Trump is no friend to black voters or their interests. Long before he mounted a race-baiting presidential campaign, Trump had established his bonafides as someone who was, in the words of The New York Times’ David Leonhardt and Ian Prasad Philbrick, “obsessed with race for the entire time he has been a public figure.”

ARIZONA REPUBLICANS POSE AS COMMUNISTS TO MAKE ILLEGAL DONATION TO DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN TOM O’HALLERAN’S CAMPAIGN
Among those throwing shade on West’s comments was Bakari Sellers, an African-American lawyer and politician from South Carolina.
“Idiocy is the willingness to sell out your culture for trinkets,” Sellers wrote. “@kanyewest doesn’t understand reality. The same hat he is wearing is responsible for Jeff Sessions and taking us back a decade in Criminal Justice reform. @kanyewest is a clown who wants to sell albums. I’m good.” 30-Sep-2018

Ex-cardinal accused of sex abuse living near Kansas school
The friary in remote western Kansas that is now home to a disgraced former U.S. cardinal removed from ministry by Pope Francis over allegations of sexual abuse is just one block from an elementary school.
The Archdiocese of Washington, D.C., confirmed in a statement Friday that ex-cardinal Theodore McCarrick is living at St. Fidelis Friary in Victoria, a rural town of about 1,200 that lies more than 250 miles (402 kilometers) west of Kansas City. The Friary is within a block of Victoria Elementary School.

Gay teacher in Zimbabwe resigns after death threats
A gay deputy headmaster of a boys' school in Zimbabwe has resigned after death threats and pressure from parents.
Neal Hovelmeier, who worked at St John's College in the capital, Harare, faced huge criticism and threats from parents after he revealed his sexual orientation to his students at an assembly September 21.
Hovelmeier came out after a local newspaper threatened to write an article exposing his sexuality. He told CNN the paper "felt that did not sit well with my position in a boys' school in a conservative country."
UN audience literally bursts out laughing at Trump’s speech
One of President Trump’s favorite attacks on his political opponents is to say that the world is “laughing” at the United States. But on Tuesday, during Trump’s speech to the United Nations General Assembly, the assembled world notables literally laughed at him.
The audience erupted in laughter early, when Trump bragged about his accomplishments as president. “In two years, we have accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country,” he said.
There’s an outbreak of LGBTQ Republicans running for office in Connecticut
This year’s elections have seen a record number of LGBTQ candidates running for office. Not surprisingly, the vast majority of them are running as Democrats.
In a surprising twist, Connecticut is setting a different kind of record: six openly gay or lesbian candidates are running as Republicans for seats in the state Assembly.
Anti-LGBTI Christian author claims all oral sex is 'homosexual'
A Christian author of anti-LGBTI books has claimed that oral sex is the ‘practice of homosexuals’.
Linda Harvey, writer behind books like Maybe He’s Not Gay, has launched a frankly bizarre rant against sex education.
During an article for right-wing website BarbWire denouncing teaching teenagers about ‘pleasure’ during sex ed, the writer goes into an odd tangent about oral sex.
Harvey writes: ‘And let’s not forget the deadly contribution of “LGBTQ” advocates who demand “inclusive” sex ed – ie, lessons that outline in detail how kids can engage in anal and oral sex, the sex practices of homosexuals.’
For people with opposite sex partners: no, this isn’t an excuse to skip foreplay.

Azealia Banks takes aim at Troye Sivan in series of Tweets
If you’re not with Azealia Banks 100%, you may as well be against her.
And hey, that’s her prerogative.
She doesn’t make it easy to back her all the time — we’ve covered her many beefs time and time again.
Now Australian pop star Troye Sivan finds himself fresh at the center of her displeasure yet again, after giving a wishy-washy answer to Andy Cohen about what he’d say to her if the two happened to be riding an elevator together.
To back it up, Sivan was asked in January if there are any rappers he’d be interested in working with.
“I mean, I was a huge Azealia Banks fan. That all just kind of like went south a little bit. It’s just one of those annoying things where you just want to support [her] so bad, and it just doesn’t work out like that.”

Mom Fights Back After Nurse Body Shames Her 13-Year-Old Daughter: 'She Is Ignorant'
Julie Venn is teaching her daughters that “strong is beautiful, and weight means nothing” — so she was frustrated when a nurse body shamed her 13-year-old during her yearly checkup.
The personal trainer and mom of two went into the appointment excited to see how much her younger daughter, Riley, had grown in the past year.
“The coach in me has loved seeing her strength and size finally come along and the mom in me has loved watching this beautiful young girl begin to become a young woman,” Venn, 48, wrote in a Facebook post.
But when the nurse practitioner came into the room, Venn said that she immediately started questioning Riley — who plays softball and basketball — about her diet, exercise, sleep habits and school, before asking, “Tell me Riley, how can you explain all of this weight you’ve gained?”
