Dust Bunny (2025)

A blockbuster that should have been. I hopped onto the camera as soon it started to move. "Kill Bill" is hired to assassinate a monster that may or may not exist underneath baby Wednesday's bed. Sigourney Weaver was intelligent, funny and enervating. It was a "bitch" howdy welcome. Aurora strapped the story onto her shoulders and it didn't weigh her down. She was chin to chest with Mads. The supporting players got their own space, story and admiration. The synopsis readied me to understand but didn't prepare me for the motion. Fuller is a bunch of masters imbued in one. I was so involved that I had to cancel my lunch date because I was too tired from staying up late watching it. I was that involved. 18-Apr-2026
Zootopia 2 (2025)

The idea that mammals need to bow to serpents is ridiculous. When babies encounter venom they will hug it and die. It was beautiful, joyful, charismatic and fun. 14-Mar-2026
Life Of Chuck, The (2024)

It's sweet but reserved. A man's life is explored by the people he touched and inspired him. The main facets of a person's life told out of order with much respect. Does the universe die with you when you go? The actors were easy to like and most eloquent. Hiddleston's time is short but he made the best of it. His dance was joyous, drummer girl rocked, the children were well taught, Hamill made it understood and Mia was glorious. It's Stephen King from the heart. 31-Dec-2025
Frankenstein (2025)

Del Toro kept me in awe and made imaginative choices. Oscar was an excitable Victor, full of verve, vigor and craft. Mia cast a bright shine whenever she appeared and her dresses were resplendent. Elordi lent the creature beauty and humanity. There were times where I saw the actor underneath but it was only an x-ray. The man was fully invested. The story was inspiring, the style elegant, the horror realistic and the action pulsating. 09-Nov-2025
Little Princess, The (1939)

This is the third film I've completed starring Shirley Temple. I tuned into the others but one was because of Elizabeth Taylor. I recognized her history because bits and pieces of her legend were always there. I found her talented and cutesy. She's not an actual princess (TG) but a daughter of a distinguished man that is widowed and in charge of spoiling her. He satisfied all her whims, had adorable phrases between them, missed each other dearly when apart and daddy was loaded. FF. Daddy goes to war in South Africa and she is sent to a high falutin school that can use the clout and his money. She lives a life of luxury amongst resentful girls and a few good friends. She is informed that daddy died in war and the enemy stole his assets. The girl is broke and the school footed her luxurious lifestyle expecting recompense. The marm nixes the idea of throwing her out because bad publicity would fuck them. The people decide that the child can redeem herself by becoming a servant. Temple's talent grows as the movie rolled along. Her friends and hope toughened her up so she wouldn't give up or disappoint the audience. She took over like a pro. The film is not dark. The film is cheerful, sweet, undemanding and it presents to kids the pitfalls of growing up, without overloading them. The Joker played a respectable Indian and was a hoot. The School Mistress looked exactly how one would fear. It's corny but it was true. A restoration would befit it. It would sparkle and be presented on Father's or Soldiers Day. 25-Jun-2025
Maria (2024)

Angelina Jolie is radiant as the legendary Callas whose last days were riddled with identity issues, loss of art and purpose. Some of the historical tidbits were interesting to discover and the film was as luscious as its protagonist. As soon as Jolie opens her mouth to sing the film establishes the work and the craft it must have taken to complete her transformation. The relationships registered, the melancholy smoked and Angelina Jolie was its greatest effect. 06-Feb-2025
Subservience (2024)

It adds enough to the genre to make it interesting but it doesn't supply enough tech or empathetic reasoning to make it a classic. Ms. Fox is a royal maximizer of presence and a soulless entity suits her well. Michelle Morone made me want to go to the bathroom and jerk off to straight italian porn. Madeline Zima played a thankless role that depended solely on her likability and that's better than nothing. The movie satisfied but didn't satiate. More tech or more sex would have knocked it towards art park. No budget for more tech means they would have to physically create it. So, create it. Hubby would have become addicted to robot sex because that's what men do. "I only fucked her a few hundred times, sweetie. I was practicing for when you got your heart back. I didn't want to disappoint you." 09-Dec-2024
Inside Out 2 (2024)

I let go of logistics and enjoyed it. 01-Oct-2024
Wonka (2023)

The movie is far from great but TC molds it into his own Barbie. He charms us with all of his almost complete skills. The Oompa Loompa was splendid. Olivia Colman let her boobs out and was funny. The support were astute. The whole thing was fun because Chalamet is a magician that makes us believe that his strive for excellence overcomes story limitations. 09-Mar-2024
Elemental (2023)

Sweetness and beauty interrupted by elemental disbelief. Ember only sets fire to certain things. The fire family moved to a town that operated like a water park. What happens when it rains? Fire affects rain and humidity. One of the fire people should have died in the flood. What are their clothes made of? Ember was lead on a floaty at Ripple's family water house and it didn't melt, pop or make her drown. It's a very nice movie that chose not to teach children a studied lesson. 03-Feb-2024
High Plains Drifter (1973)

Gunslinger makes a rest stop in a town with soft men and untrained women. Bandits have overpowered the town and laid police to rest. The men can't find the balls to fight back. When the stranger proves himself a survivor, the town convinces him to be their savior. The savior lacks adequate morals but he's kind to minorities and is rapey to women (that's how people flirted then.) He'll fight the enemy and them too. The action is a natural CGI-less wonder. I believe this was how life was and it appeared it. A great modern cowboy defined by the people who experienced him. The cowboy was a unique quip master with a ton of hilarious scenes. The women exerted their power and were heard. Little man was a sweet sidekick. A rousing blockbuster. 14-Jan-2024
Rebel Moon: A Child On Fire (2023)

The handsomest director in Hollywood makes a movie of wonder. It's a what if Star Wars account of what a boy imagines. The movie is crisp and lighting glows with clarification. He brought all the elements but kept it, mostly western. The effects glide, Anthony Hopkins is a beautiful thing, Djimon Hinsou wowed in a semi birthday suit, the alpha bodies were to die for, the story never strayed from its path and the action sequences held. Unfortunately, our heroine was flat, unsympathetic and a cold lesbian killing machine. It was realistic to see a man kick the shit out of a woman, threaten rapes of virgins and pretty straight boys and for races to exist as different societies. Snyder recreates scenarios oft repeated and makes them look bright but not all the senses can see. 23-Dec-2023
Maestro (2023)

Bradley Cooper is an uncanny Leonard Bernstein. The nose is art even though it makes Bradley nasal. Carey Mulligan is taught and achieving. She is the wife that halts her personal goals to stroke his. The genius is obsessed with calculating music and all boys pretty. The wife accepts and waits. Cooper positions the camera at different angles to add distraction to incomplete scenes. The film intellectualizes its subject and limits its margin. Dialogue is careful not to apply too many emotions to our lead for fear that they may not be true. It also, makes his actions appear nippy. Lovers come in and out of their lives without much exposition except beauty and sex. Mulligan is the film's disposition, Cooper is its center, the cast puts on an haughty appearance, everything is lush but the man remains an enigma. 22-Dec-2023
The More The Merrier (1943)

During WW2 there was a shortage of living space in America. Washington was doing its part by opening rooms for rent. The demand became high and cutthroat. There were more no vacanciy signs than opportunities. A man had to do what he had to do. An old man cons himself a room that belongs to an independent female. He had snowman personality, writer's wit and desperate charm. He was harmless and she was uptight, lonely and sold. Jean Arthur was a working gal and a component of liberation. Men were fighting and women were in charge and in demand. There were 8 girls for one boy. Charles Coburn has seen life and thinks that he can relax his roomie's anal retentiveness by giving her life adventure. The roommates had rifts and instances of sentimentality but things escalated once the old man rented his half of the room to a young serviceman without consent. Joel McCrea had little patience, was a straight shooter, doomed and a tall milkshake. He's seen worst than the old man and he just wants escape. Tensions roll out, a family is born and rules are broken. Silly and comforting. A Lucy Ricardo life without Ricky. Cute from top to bottom. 19-Dec-2023
Barbie (2023)

Women can do anything except fight wars, raise non-toxic boys or shut up. Barbie is a politic, a preacher and a bore. Man hate shuffles in so often that enjoyment is stifled. The cast is brilliant. Margo and Ryan were perfect iterations of iconic toys and the support kept up but the story just memes on the same subject, over and over. The film distinguishes the sexes without exploring true intentions or circumstances. The best way for feminists to free themselves from a man's grasp is to never marry and to abolish religions that place them in dire situations. 16-Dec-2023
