Here Comes The Devil (2012)

It has elements of a horror masterpiece but the production couldn't pull it off. Brother and sister vanish during a walk and return strange. The girl's first period was further embarrassing because the brother had to witness it. Having mama and papa explain the awakening to each child made sense. More time spent on how the kids communicated before would have helped explain how they communicated after. No difference. Too close and too weird. Sex is a strategic element that titillated to no effect. Sex is responsible for all of it but is sideswiped by fear and hunger. Fear to offend and hungry to be accepted. There was no budget for answers so they hinted a lot. I couldn't marry the intro with the main part of the story but good use of lesbians. Why would daddy drag a business bag into a cave? The ending was a pinchable surprise. 17-Apr-2026
Thrash (2026)

It thrashes but it doesn't knock you out. The cast is appealing, the personal was manhandled with stereotypes and the action sequences were forgiven because they contained interesting ideas. It did what it set out to do. 16-Apr-2026
Trust Me: The False Prophet (2026)

It's heroic of people to try and save the abused and manipulated but a sequel with a greater henchman is already in development. False prophet benefits from the downfall of its previous judge and takes cruel advantage of women and children alike. The adoration was chilling, wake-ups happened, betrayal was understandable and the couple filming, never gave up. Respect. 13-Apr-2026
Housemaid (2025)

The ladies jell and create spasms of psychosis. We follow them for being obvious and enduring. Lowly housemaids work for followers. The potholes don't harden but the cast was irresistable. Seyfried's character makes more sense in the past than she does in the present. By the time Sweeney bimbo's up, we're tuned and liking it. 08-Apr-2026

The Testament Of Ann Lee (2025)

Ann Lee gives up the joy of life to preach the word of god. She has godly visions that hint at something greater than what is going on. She finds a church she can marry and eventually becomes their mother. The 2nd coming of Christ as a woman. Her mental health was questioned, she was imprisoned, beat, humiliated and spat on but she kept preaching. She even preached when god let her 4 babies die. She blamed it on sex and banned it from her husband and congregants. Christopher Abbott was the heated husband whose belief in God tortured his soul. His wife was now his sister and he was horny as fuck. Heck, I wanted to do that mouth thing on him just to keep him regular. The musical segments were easy on the ears and an extra element of characterization. There are times that you want them to shut up as much the neighborhood but that was the point. Amanda Seyfried was mature, focused, captivating and entertaining. Her visions don't lead to much but her obsession is unstoppable. I thought brother deserved more insight, I enjoyed the flow, the look and I was enthralled. 01-Apr-2026
Something Bad Is Going To Happen (2026)

The only way to enjoy it is to panic from expectation and by giving mumbo jumbo a pass. Morrone pummeled a silly context and Debra Wingered it. She was authentically self-involved and complicated. The kiss would have scandalized, if it had happened with Jules. Characterization was brilliant. The script questioned and deciphered a soulmate. Shit like that. The atmosphere was chilling and creepy and I understood enough to enjoy it. I knew the end before it happened but became addicted when I needed to confirm it. It takes a while. Less is better. 28-Mar-2026

Anaconda (2025)

The mugging was on hyperdrive, the script was a discarded King Kong treatment satirized to no effect and somebody's wig was freaking me out. It was very Dorothy and its texture kept changing. The beast was relegated to seconds, the other anaconda had pants on and I couldn't stand any of it. 25-Mar-2026
Sentimental Value (2025)

The actors had to fill the spaces the script left out. A combination of the two would have made the film unforgettable. A writer/director tries to make peace with the two daughters he left behind. Recompense for their mother dying. Daddy has a script and a history he wants to make up for and he wants his eldest to act in it. The daughter is a stage actress whose father never ventured to watch her. Him hating live theatre felt unfit. Films and audiences are found in theaters as well. Artists gobble all types of art so they can better understand their own. Though the sentiments and emotions are clear the happenings are not. Performances were raw, experimental and beautiful. The film is quiet, ponderous and proficient but I couldn't find its pulse. 24-Mar-2026
Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere

The doc felt exploitative, only the despised benefitted and the source of male toxicity were the women who represented when the boys were growing up. 22-Mar-2026
Museum of Innocence (2026)

Obsessive humans have all the characteristics of a serial killer without the violence. A man in love is a schmuck. Legal baby's breath is hard to resist. A man who enjoyed a privileged life from the suffering of others is not a good man. The series is too sympathetic to a man whose selfish desires outweighed reason. Engaged hot stuff steals objects his obsession has touched to remember her by. He's a thief that steals from the poor so he can masturbate. I'm surprised he didn't shove that doll's hand up his ass or swallow the marble. The main man is charming with young Pacino elements. A guy you can't help but to fuck. The object of desire fulfilled the character's description. A knockout. Love is proven when all parties agree it is, after the fantasy dies. 21-Mar-2026

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023-)

S1. Monsters were scarce and sometimes their sequences were repetitive. A fine cast grows tiresome because their feelings shift as much as their location, the script doesn't explore what is the crux of the matter but keeps repeating the same question and they have no home-base for the audience to revisit or remember fondly. Are Cate and May destined for love? They are always holding hands. Sucks for the brother but intriguing for the show. There are no reasons to understand what Monarch's intentions are. Why doesn't anybody ever really die? Son looks just like daddy and it's entertaining to watch them as each other. More monsters or more exciting plot points, please. 17-Mar-2026
Zootopia 2 (2025)

The idea that mammals need to bow to serpents is ridiculous. When babies encounter venom they will hug it and die. It was beautiful, joyful, charismatic and fun. 14-Mar-2026
