Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
I call myself erratic because I am. I presumed the group called themselves Queen because the lead singer was. Singer directs through a fog conveying no gay sensibilities or joy. He wasted high value entertainment opportunities. When Malek lip synchs he finds his Mercury but the act was teeth grinding. 09-Mar-2019
Boy Erased (2018)
Respectfully tempered and accurate, miscast, minor provocation and out of range. I can hear the subject but I don't feel it. It needed to inform as well as wrench.
Nic exuded art but was limited by the character's sketch. 25-Feb-2019
Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom (1984)
It's excessively restless, exceedingly silly. The heroine is written to annoy which dooms the actress. Spielberg flourishes sporadically exercising comic mean boy violence as well as lost boy corn disorder. 18-Feb-2019
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
The actors couldn't locate the essence in character.
Howard is adept at expounding on a thought previously introduced. The magic materializes when he confronts his thoughts. It's a tough exercise with his stamp gently placed upon it. He needed to make it tremble.
(Chewy made sense.) 03-Feb-2019
Period of Adjustment (1962)
The utters of Fonda and Hutton chanted high. Tony Franciosa kept the octaves low and his charisma forward. John McGiver sets and Mabel Albertson resists becoming the in-law stereotype. They glorified it. Lois Nettleton steals it because she could.
Marriage is deemed a terror, everyone screams their heads off until a surprise gift changes it. It has a loud message but you can still hear it.
Unfortunately, George Roy Hill's absurdity didn't allow Tennessee to be tragic. It's what the writer did best. 03-Jan-2019
Jurasaic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
Pratt is still Stepford, no one but Spielberg has actually maintained the magic of dinosaurs and we should never be so illogical that we choose to compromise earth because its cool. 26-Dec-2018
Bad Teacher (2011)
So mean that it renders the characters inhuman. 07-Dec-2018
Seven in Heaven (2018)
Having the entitled open doors to a life disadvantaged people suffer constantly isn't frightening, its insulting. 27-Nov-2018
Fist Fight (2017)
Instead of expounding on the challenges of education they blast the ridiculousness of adult immaturity. The overload of stereotypes swats the funny. 23-Nov-2018
Star Trek III: In Search of Spock (1984)
Generous in sci-fi spirituality but short in supplying the visionary actions that deflects from the nonsense. 12-Nov-2018
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn (1982)
It's an old friend I had no idea I made. It's everything it pretends to be. 12-Nov-2018
Final Destination, The (2009)
Its thoroughness in mapping derails the anticipation of fright. 05-Nov-2018
The act is porny, the conversations are ear splitting but the elevator has a wicked sense of humor. 27-Sep-2018
The boily stuff comes close to dampening it but the monster mash and George rescue it. 16-Sep-2018
Call Me By Your Name (2017)
Its insulting in its timing and the delusion that a teenager's "me too" is a right of passage. The disparity in size (Hammer's giant) and childlike looks (Timothee Chalamet) adds unseemliness to its presentation. Hammer distributes much awkwardness and little desire, maybe because he realized the discomfort of its subject.
Man/boy love is tricky if you don't account for its repercussions. It doesn't represent the gay community but it indicates that straits will stick it to anything and that uniting in sex will not absolve our confusion.
I'll call you what my first lover/daddy/asshole called himself..."bugarron." 07-Aug-2018
