WandaVision (2021-)

It's a brilliant idea that doesn't understand what a classic sitcom is. Hidden treasures abound if we do our homework and expand our flight experience. Why? I just want to be entertained. Show us. When did Elizabeth Olson take up blinking? That is an actor's death knell. Stop blinking! What I'm watching is a disappointment and an excuse to tease us to watch something that gives nothing but clues. 18-Jan-2021
Saturday Night Live (2018-)

The Christmas episode with Kristen Wiig. Wiig graced us with her professionalism but the balls to her pong were deflated. Lorne, when you choose diversity over talent you get this. The worst cast imaginable. There are exceptions, Jost and Che always overcome the overly fussed jokes and even though he can't get it right Beck Bennet's squishiness is succulent. He stays for one more round until he can prove himself. Pete Davidson's infamy will always precede his comedy. None of Wiig's skits worked. She was out of practice and sadly written. Dua Lipa can't act but she can swing a mean hat. 20-Dec-2020
I watch every once in a while. The man is no longer in the picture. 20-Dec-2020
My lover and I quit you. 30-Sep-2018
Matt revved it up, Rachel graced it, the steadies couldn't overcome it, the host is best I don't mention and Kanye shat all over it. His disdain for all art was evident on song #1, negligence of talent and profanity (titgate? really?) towards women appeared second and historic irrationality capped the finale. He was a man who had sold his soul to the devil even if it betrayed his race and himself. Trump deserves him.
It made me angry and in need of a horror bath. 30-Sep-2018
Christmas Setup, The (2020)

A demure mouse and his follower spend Christmas with his mom to opine their inability to succeed at anything. Frilly city gay meets country dorky gay. It's a gay love story with grand support from a fairy goddess (Fran Drescher.) She huffs and puffs but everyone else is yawning. The romantic leads need some Goya beans to create a spark and Lifetime needs to do better impassioning the male community with quality man product. 15-Dec-2020
Bob Hearts Abishola (2019-)

Is it improper for me to say that I wish someone else would love Abishola? 31-Mar-2020
The leads do not align, Bob's family grates and reverse hate is not progressive. 08-Nov-2019
Exploring multi-cultural attitudes to life problems is interesting. The black characters sparkle but their counterparts appear like unwanted houseguests. I'm sure good writing can fix that. (I liked it.) 25-Sep-2019
Unsettling, The (2019-)

It does not unsettle because there is no intrigue, sharp scare edits or anything besides Holly Taylor to give a damn about. 13-Jan-2020
Velvet Buzzsaw (2019)

An expose of the art world with a horror addendum. It spends too much time characterizing a patronizing society and very little imagination bringing the art and kills to life. Jake wraps his character in queer banality and sexual confusion like the problematic characters of yore (Jodie Dallas from Soap and Steven Carrington from Dynasty.) I'm starting to believe he actually may be straight. 20-Nov-2019
Rattlesnake (2019)

A film practice run. It's hard to gear up for characters minutely defined especially when they easily accept transcendent ideas. We need insight to understand their choices. Debrianna Mansini casts a lustrous presence that established "no other dead need apply" and Theo Rossi squished craftily. 28-Oct-2019
Living With Yourself (2019-)

The premise is so dastardly that I can't laugh. The project seems like an excuse for Rudd to squish profusely before his star juice dries up. 22-Oct-2019
Wounds (2019)

It's exhilarating to watch Armie Hammer unravel but the film's obscurity abandons him. 19-Oct-2019
Schitt's Creek (2015-)

Histrionic and unfledged bullshit. 02-Sep-2019
Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019-)

My heart can't beat to slow moving and hollow-eyed puppets. 30-Aug-2019
Always Be My Maybe (2018)

Cuteness chokes us in, Keanu's monster beard cues us out and inequality kills it. Having the woman win doesn't make it equal, it makes it supremacist. 30-Aug-2019
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)

Efron explored none of the options that would have freed his character to expose the monster in Ted Bundy. The film could have established more instances like the cuts and closeups during the verdict that had us seeing into his soul. The courtroom drama prances around the diabolical murders and the film is not interested in disrupting his image as a charmer (whom in real life had many ticks claiming otherwise.) 06-May-2019
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)

A jumbled idea. 04-May-2019
Batman Unlimited: Mechs vs Mutants (2016)

Bigger doesn't necessarily beget better. 03-May-2019
