One Day at a Time (2017-)
All about relationships. Gracias. 03-Mar-2019
Motivating argument about the rules modern life coerces. Proficiently displayed, adoringly regarded and stamping the sitcom with the purpose TV forgot. 13-Feb-2019
Justina Machado is excellent and Rita Moreno embodies everything we miss about a Golden Girl. They've added superior daddy squish and the support is amiable reinforcement. Cheers. 01-Mar-2018
At first glance, you are inclined to think that this is an exploitation of a classic and respected series with token latino stereotypes. By the fourth episode you realize that it chose this community to depict because it needs updating the most and it feeds right into the original's claim. It's hard raising a latin family when the men are scarce and the women try to empower themselves at the cost of tradition. There are times you will be transported to all those arguments Lear presented between classic characters, fair to each but being persistent that the last word goes to the changing present. Justina Machado plays Penelope Alvarez with the same amount as distraught, parental overprotection and survivor's challenge that Bonnie Franklin's Ann Romano did. Rita Moreno's accent is old fashioned pastiche but she is a full character, beloved and is having a helluva time making us laugh. The kids aspire for realness instead of cute and Schneider is cute without the creep. 30-Jan-2017
Gidget's Summer Reunion (1985)
Little girl feminist revamp. They don't exhibit likeness to any of the original characters but nostalgia is intact. Men prevailed short shorts, everyone oozed good health and greater hair and the environment exuded flexibility. 27-Feb-2019
Wrong Friend, The (2018)
It's twinkie psycho delight, Cleopatra Jones revenge and Lifetime hopeful achievement practice. 18-Jan-2019
My Santa (2013)
High-end poverty, determined women amenable to situating on any daddy lap, crooked trees, miraculous gifts, susceptible children and a twinkie Santa. It's Christmas. 14-Dec-2018
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1996-2003)
Because I may never anticipate an assurance of excellence. 23-Nov-2018
Magic for Humans (2018-)
Justin Willman is a sarcastic magician and forever twink. 05-Sep-2018
The mystery is basic math, the idea of Betty and Veronica is where its at, the color tinting is distracting, fun is mute and the teenagers appear older. 27-Jul-2018
Lost In Space (2018-)
Even though the orangutan inspired robot invalidates its predecessor the show succeeded in modern interpretation. There's papi squish, mama force, baby hutzpah and multicultural opportunity. Constructive sci-fi action and Parker Posey's iteration of Dr. Smith as the ultimate lying bitch are its standouts. 29-Jun-2018
Alex Strangelove (2018)
It's "the" gay teen romp of our time. Its balls are huge, the introspections are clear and the voices are true. It feels like home because it doesn't pander to us and its funny. 14-Jun-2018
A Tale of Two Coreys (2018)
Feldman's "me too" moment would carry more weight if the man he idolized (MJ) weren't so debatable. If friendship is the only proof of a man's innocence, I've sat on many a pedophile's lap and was never molested. They discriminate just like everyone else. I found out about their discrepancies when they went to jail for it.
The film doesn't allow anything to add up because the perversions are limited to adults and naivete is all that define the boys . I believe the abuse but the feelings need to move pass the shadows for me to understand them. 20-Feb-2018
Teen Wolf (2011 -2017)
You could never define what you were but we can't complain when the squish alert was so high. I didn't know Colton could do that with his tail. 24-Sep-2017
I still have no idea how anything correlates but the optical is cool and the characters are all heart tugging. 02-Feb-2017
You are so lucky you guys are so likeable and squishy because you are incomprehensible lately. The mythology is broken. 18-Mar-2016
Watching puppies bay at the moon. Sweet. 14-Sep-2015
Mist, The (2017-)
The mythology of the film has been dissected, perused and respectfully extended. The pages of a Stephen King novel, as we might imagine them, are represented, especially as it ties all the personal tidbits to the horror.
When Francis Conroy's Nathalie upraises and walks out naked into the mist, we are witness to the glorious aspect of feminine strength and an actor's aptitude.
I was a little discomforted that the gays and some minorities were credited with evil but it seems unfair to only be represented as pious.
The series was wicked, addictive and persistent. 27-Aug-2017
13 Reasons Why (2017-)
There are not enough nuances to these characters for me to accept them as true or sympathetic. PLL embraces teen fatuity but generates fun by not being so clinical in what they are preaching. The show makes no argument as to why there should be another outcome. 31-May-2017
Eyewitness (2016 -)
You bathe your show in a pathetic green dye and propel two Bel Ami ready twinks to be the focus because there is no variety in design and no air in your story. 21-Nov-2016
So You Think You Can Dance (2005 -)
The beauty of dance performed graciously and vivaciously via artistic youth. Cat Deeley as host is favorite aunt divine. The expertise provided by Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe is necessary and eloquent but it also stagnates. If they can find a way to showcase the talent while stifling the filler, they might share the success with the same ilk that skewers the art. All they have is respect and some really stupendous choreo.
I do not want to see babies dance. 29-Jul-2016
