Travel Channel host Andrew Zimmern is under fire for for saying that Chinese food in the Midwest is served in “horseshit restaurants.”
Zimmern, a well-known TV chef, travels around the world trying strange food for his show Bizarre Foods. Zimmern also hosts The Zimmern List.
Mark Kostabi slams today’s ‘sad’ artists
New York ’80s art sensation Mark Kostabi was spotted performing at Bar Thalia at Symphony Space, playing original songs he wrote with composers Gene Pritsker and Sophie Duner.
He was later overheard lamenting that artists today focus on just one medium.
How Tumblr's adult content crackdown could alienate users
Tumblr says it is banning images and videos that feature "adult content," including pornography, from its platform. The change, which will start December 17, threatens to alienate some of the blogging website's most active communities.
The company said Monday that it will no longer allow any images or videos of sex acts, nor will it allow "real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples." It will make exceptions for non-sexual content, including breastfeeding photos and "health-related situations," such as sex-reassignment surgeries and mastectomies.
Jennie-O turkey recall bigger than previously announced
A nationwide recall of raw turkey tied to a deadly outbreak of salmonella is getting bigger.
Since the recall of Jennie-O Turkey products was announced last week, health investigators have added a fifth item. That raises the amount of recalled turkey to more than 147,000 pounds, from 91,000 pounds, a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Inspection Service (FSIS) told CBS MoneyWatch.
The recall of raw ground turkey products is linked to an outbreak strain of Salmonella Reading, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, with 164 infections reported from 35 states. The cases include 64 illnesses and one death in California, according to the CDC.
Gay man sues NYC spa for trying to give him ‘a happy ending’
When 34-year-old gay New Jersey resident Ronnie Arnau went to the Living Fresh Men’s Spa in Chelsea, Manhattan for a massage last month, he expected “a normal massage.” But he claims the spa’s masseur began caressing his buttocks and genitals 10 minutes into the massage.
So now Arnau is suing for sexual assault.
According to a lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, masseur Pei Tian began focusing “exclusively on Arnau’s buttocks for an inordinate amount of time,” making Arnau very uncomfortable.
