Four Seasons, The (1981)

Constitutional portrait of human relationships spread across the seasons and invigorated by expert hands. The actors stir magic by integrating personality and star to their characters. Carol's beauty resonates when she makes us laugh and when she cracks up. 10-Feb-2019

The characters were allowed to age in disgrace and we felt for them. 11-Jul-2018
Jane steps up to Lilly's pedestal and the gay daddies are finally getting storylines worthy of their aptitude and our senior representation. The adorableness takes away some of the fear of getting older and the girls supply a comfortable environment to bask in. 16-Jun-2017
We can totally do without the stereotypical husbands. All we need is Fonda and Tomlin and a phone book. The only thing that can make it better is Dolly. Legends. 31-Dec-2015
Honeymooners Christmas Special, The (1977)

Art that was dethroned because the husband was always threatening to send his wife to the moon. It was an idle threat, Alice stood up for herself and the moon seemed like a better alternative to the planet my mother kept landing on.
Still humble, hard working, lacerating and funny. For Adults Only. 20-Jan-2019
Top Chef (2006-)
What Are the Consequences of Eating Rare Meat?
I think it's irresponsible to constantly introduce steak tartare when science has considered raw meat unsafe. 17-Jan-2019
Food snobbery in the way of competition that slays and remains because of great editing, interesting characters and incomparable judges. 03-Jan-2017
Surviving R. Kelly (2019)

I survived his art when it was pleasant and turned away when the man became objectionable. The series pounds on its subject with no perception to objectify him and I agreed.
He may sound liking he's singing to angels but they are fallen. 13-Jan-2019
Who Gets The Dog? (2016)

You stay for the dog. 26-Dec-2018
How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)

A cult ascended from it, the Grinch destroyed it, a dog defended it and the Dr. defined it. It's Christmas. 25-Dec-2018
Happy! (2017-)

Sometimes we need to take a trip to the land of fantastic in order for reality to sink in. The balls are unbreakable. 19-Dec-2018
A Christmas gift that explodes. 16-Dec-2018
It's high on a drug that doesn't exist. Nothing/everything makes sense. I stick with it because I want to see the child saved and because messy daddy keeps it angry and moving riotously. 27-Nov-2018
Dick Van Dyke Show, The (2017) - in color

Van Dyke made silliness a class act and proved a physically hilarious man. Mary reacts adroitly. The writers wrote with a maturity that should have stuck. Sublime. 16-Dec-2018
They were the modern standard and what should have become key to finding bliss by representing a rational, respectful and a well-informed married couple.
The color is candied and the tribute to Mary, yum. 24-Dec-2017
Capsule (2015)

The camera is tricky and holds a tight grip. Edmund Kingsley is burdened with having to convey panic and desperation with a partially helmeted face. He adds to the film's accomplishments. It's important to understand the circumstances because we still repeat them today. The knowledge surprises. 24-Nov-2018
Mom (2013 -)
Respect is due because the show celebrates women without exaltation and it exposes the blemishes the environment imposes on them. They are no less beautiful because of it. 23-Nov-2018
Even when the material is not bowing to the talent, Farris and Janney always extend and heighten the comedy. When the writers conjugate with the artist the music is sweet. Girl power assist doesn't hurt. 17-Jan-2016
Elite (2018-)

They represent with no restraints and the teens are regarded with soul. The societal menace is heavier, coddling is out and the hurt is overwhelming. They are fighting a world adults complicated with wee survival skills. Beauty is diverse and it lingers because the writers keep tearing at it. 23-Nov-2018
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1996-2003)

Because I may never anticipate an assurance of excellence. 23-Nov-2018
An American Rhapsody (2001)

A child established with world displacement by parental and governmental abandon. The accents are tuneless, Goldwyn can take a beating, Kinski bears mother regret and Johansson freshens teenage rebellion. A deeper study could have generated considerable empathy and provoked an argument instead of halting lightly. 25-Oct-2018
Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (2013-2018)

The man courageously ventured into the world to experience the diversity significant to it. We explored alongside him. Bourdain passed because after regarding everything about life, he couldn't latch on to one beautiful thing to keep him grounded to it. Rest in peace, dude. 07-Oct-2018
