The movie is far from great but TC molds it into his own Barbie. He charms us with all of his almost complete skills. The Oompa Loompa was splendid. Olivia Colman let her boobs out and was funny. The support were astute. The whole thing was fun because Chalamet is a magician that makes us believe that his strive for excellence overcomes story limitations. 09-Mar-2024
Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans (2024) 
The liberties taken grew gargantuan. Gus Van Sant's episodes were gliding and gripping. Naomi Watts had an emotional control that was lovely to watch. Diane Lane stole it like Joan Crawford in The Women. I'ver never seen her so alive. Watching Flockhart exercise her muscles was nostalgic. Demi did a lot with so little. Chloe Sevigny fit the part of the best friend that was only considered as such, only if she was doing them a favor. It's always a pleasure to see the legend but her role as Capote's mother should have been scrapped. The mother was an abusive monster. He wouldn't really consider her a best friend. Treat Williams acted like a dick and came off as one. Tom Hollander had a tight grip on the spiritual and physical persona of Capote. His performance was masterful. The ball went on for too long. The series repeated, stalled and stretched until the finale. The actors were stupendous, the ladies all beautiful and the setting, rich. The Baldwin episode was a preachy one with nothing to back it up. It inserts a black competitor in a part of history that didn't belong. The fun eeks out after the abused big boy child tries to chop all of the swans heads off for being like his mother. Women don't like that.

Sweetness and beauty interrupted by elemental disbelief. Ember only sets fire to certain things. The fire family moved to a town that operated like a water park. What happens when it rains? Fire affects rain and humidity. One of the fire people should have died in the flood. What are their clothes made of? Ember was lead on a floaty at Ripple's family water house and it didn't melt, pop or make her drown. It's a very nice movie that chose not to teach children a studied lesson. 03-Feb-2024
Gunslinger makes a rest stop in a town with soft men and untrained women. Bandits have overpowered the town and laid police to rest. The men can't find the balls to fight back. When the stranger proves himself a survivor, the town convinces him to be their savior. The savior lacks adequate morals but he's kind to minorities and is rapey to women (that's how people flirted then.) He'll fight the enemy and them too. The action is a natural CGI-less wonder. I believe this was how life was and it appeared it. A great modern cowboy defined by the people who experienced him. The cowboy was a unique quip master with a ton of hilarious scenes. The women exerted their power and were heard. Little man was a sweet sidekick. A rousing blockbuster. 14-Jan-2024

Rebel Moon: A Child On Fire (2023) 
The handsomest director in Hollywood makes a movie of wonder. It's a what if Star Wars account of what a boy imagines. The movie is crisp and lighting glows with clarification. He brought all the elements but kept it, mostly western. The effects glide, Anthony Hopkins is a beautiful thing, Djimon Hinsou wowed in a semi birthday suit, the alpha bodies were to die for, the story never strayed from its path and the action sequences held. Unfortunately, our heroine was flat, unsympathetic and a cold lesbian killing machine. It was realistic to see a man kick the shit out of a woman, threaten rapes of virgins and pretty straight boys and for races to exist as different societies. Snyder recreates scenarios oft repeated and makes them look bright but not all the senses can see. 23-Dec-2023
Bradley Cooper is an uncanny Leonard Bernstein. The nose is art even though it makes Bradley nasal. Carey Mulligan is taught and achieving. She is the wife that halts her personal goals to stroke his. The genius is obsessed with calculating music and all boys pretty. The wife accepts and waits. Cooper positions the camera at different angles to add distraction to incomplete scenes. The film intellectualizes its subject and limits its margin. Dialogue is careful not to apply too many emotions to our lead for fear that they may not be true. It also, makes his actions appear nippy. Lovers come in and out of their lives without much exposition except beauty and sex. Mulligan is the film's disposition, Cooper is its center, the cast puts on an haughty appearance, everything is lush but the man remains an enigma. 22-Dec-2023
During WW2 there was a shortage of living space in America. Washington was doing its part by opening rooms for rent. The demand became high and cutthroat. There were more no vacanciy signs than opportunities. A man had to do what he had to do. An old man cons himself a room that belongs to an independent female. He had snowman personality, writer's wit and desperate charm. He was harmless and she was uptight, lonely and sold. Jean Arthur was a working gal and a component of liberation. Men were fighting and women were in charge and in demand. There were 8 girls for one boy. Charles Coburn has seen life and thinks that he can relax his roomie's anal retentiveness by giving her life adventure. The roommates had rifts and instances of sentimentality but things escalated once the old man rented his half of the room to a young serviceman without consent. Joel McCrea had little patience, was a straight shooter, doomed and a tall milkshake. He's seen worst than the old man and he just wants escape. Tensions roll out, a family is born and rules are broken. Silly and comforting. A Lucy Ricardo life without Ricky. Cute from top to bottom. 19-Dec-2023
Women can do anything except fight wars, raise non-toxic boys or shut up. Barbie is a politic, a preacher and a bore. Man hate shuffles in so often that enjoyment is stifled. The cast is brilliant. Margo and Ryan were perfect iterations of iconic toys and the support kept up but the story just memes on the same subject, over and over. The film distinguishes the sexes without exploring true intentions or circumstances. The best way for feminists to free themselves from a man's grasp is to never marry and to abolish religions that place them in dire situations. 16-Dec-2023

Hunchback OF Notre Dame, The (1996)
Laid out like an adult novel that kids can understand. There is no better marriage than broadway and Disney. The score may not be everlasting but it's made up of raw talent and emotion. The songs and singers soared. The animation splashed with celebratory colors while hellish fire represented its demise. Quasi is a molded adult broken by a murdered mother and a crippled body. He is adopted by the man who wronged him, controlled him and gaslit into hiding the monster inside of himself. The subjects are very adult. The adoptive father rules the town with sexual and racist motivation. Gypsies are taking over. The crime rate is through the roof and they are to blame. A Festival of Fools sets up the threads that make all the characters intersect for a grande finale. The monster convinces himself he can attend. A military captain has just been initiated. Esmeralda seduces all the men with her gypsy dance and her unapologetic heart. Evil master Frollo becomes obsessed with dominating her. The good men compete with each other to protect her. Everything is big, everything is right but it begged for a slow down. I know, the kiddies would've exploded in their seats but the adults might have watched it again. As soon as I confused the boyfriend with the main character, I booked. Dude, I thought his marks were fake. Wow, he looked better in the past. Boo, I just insulted a person. They were both lovelies. I was watching on a different wavelength. I didn't want to have to rethink my imaginary flashbacks. The lady in charge of investigation hinted that it was schlock anyway. 31-May-2023
When pristine horror gets blood splattered, it resonates. AI has become a substitute for jobs that were once revered by the original occupant. Humans. Live shows, movies, tv, music, computers, phones, news, robots, etc. Each performance shaping the community they want to live in. M3GN has many faults but protecting a child was a built-in priority. A grieving child with no parents, structure or stability will succumb to the charms of a robot if you make her look and act like a best friend. Aunty creates M3GN and other incredibly expensive robotic toys that probably belong in a mansion. Her new invention is going to cure parenting and loneliness... moving the child farther away from a heart beat. M3GAN is a beautiful creation, maneuvered rightly, timed perfectly and a show stopper. The more M3GN claimed the child the more motherly aunty became. Flaws can be overlooked when the value of entertainment is so high. Perfectly cast and remembered. Fun as fuck! I wished she had killed more. As long as creator and monster are liable, human parenting will diminish. I am one of those children. My real mother's name was television.
