The boys dedicated two months to an experiment that could fix emotional fractures. The hosts were watchers who philosophized what the men might be going through and offer distinctive points of view. Topics were mostly nondescript, serious and or obsessive. The atmosphere was calm and the boys were intellectually appealing. Their approach to love and attraction was mature and endearing. It still feels like the boys are stuck in a dreamworld of unattainable things but their progression makes us believe and wish it were true. Their emotional experience was also ours. Del Toro kept me in awe and made imaginative choices. Oscar was an excitable Victor, full of verve, vigor and craft. Mia cast a bright shine whenever she appeared and her dresses were resplendent. Elordi lent the creature beauty and humanity. There were times where I saw the actor underneath but it was only an x-ray. The man was fully invested. Having Gladys marry a foreigner and sending her mother to save her was great. I hope Oscar redeems himself. I hope Marian doesn’t get engaged, ever. I never understood why they were calling the footman a Clock Twink until the last season. Good for him. Adding Rashad as a villain is right up her alley. She and Audra need to take it to the streets. I felt Aunt Gladys’ pain and how hilarious she was. Mr. Russell needs a makeover. They found the bullet that can strike through Bertha’s heart and it was impressive. This is the third film I've completed starring Shirley Temple. I tuned into the others but one was because of Elizabeth Taylor. I recognized her history because bits and pieces of her legend were always there. I found her talented and cutesy. She's not an actual princess (TG) but a daughter of a distinguished man that is widowed and in charge of spoiling her. He satisfied all her whims, had adorable phrases between them, missed each other dearly when apart and daddy was loaded. FF. Daddy goes to war in South Africa and she is sent to a high falutin school that can use the clout and his money. She lives a life of luxury amongst resentful girls and a few good friends. She is informed that daddy died in war and the enemy stole his assets. The girl is broke and the school footed her luxurious lifestyle expecting recompense. The marm nixes the idea of throwing her out because bad publicity would fuck them. The people decide that the child can redeem herself by becoming a servant. Temple's talent grows as the movie rolled along. Her friends and hope toughened her up so she wouldn't give up or disappoint the audience. She took over like a pro. The film is not dark. The film is cheerful, sweet, undemanding and it presents to kids the pitfalls of growing up, without overloading them. The Joker played a respectable Indian and was a hoot. The School Mistress looked exactly how one would fear. It's corny but it was true. A restoration would befit it. It would sparkle and be presented on Father's or Soldiers Day. 25-Jun-2025

Joe Rosenberg is little boys raised to woo a woman like only a fake prince could. Male awakenings are destructive and mentally detrimental. The premise simplified things to improve characterization. Good choice. A happy marriage to a foreign twat and reunited with a relinquished child, Joe is living the life of a planner, pioneer and romanticist. The wife has secrets and Joe has plenty of funny quips to unlock them. Joe's flubs were used to diminish his endurance as a famous serial killer. He was brushed off. Bringing people back from the dead, unless it's Ripley, Xena or Buffy is detrimental to reality. Women need an army to bring one man down. What a waste of taxpayer's money. Meet and greet with couple psycho could have been more casual, less criminal and more romantic. Ms Camp steals and saves a lot of her scenes because it took me a while to recognize her as another character and because I laughed when I found out. Pen went there and was brilliant. His breakdown was cathartic. The ladies reinforced that what restrains a man isn't himself but a notion. My finale would have consisted of him going Jason Vorhees on everybody without the mask, a bare chest, naked, weopanized and killing to the max. 10-May-2025

Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans (2024)
The liberties taken grew gargantuan. Gus Van Sant's episodes were gliding and gripping. Naomi Watts had an emotional control that was lovely to watch. Diane Lane stole it like Joan Crawford in The Women. I'ver never seen her so alive. Watching Flockhart exercise her muscles was nostalgic. Demi did a lot with so little. Chloe Sevigny fit the part of the best friend that was only considered as such, only if she was doing them a favor. It's always a pleasure to see the legend but her role as Capote's mother should have been scrapped. The mother was an abusive monster. He wouldn't really consider her a best friend. Treat Williams acted like a dick and came off as one. Tom Hollander had a tight grip on the spiritual and physical persona of Capote. His performance was masterful. The ball went on for too long. The series repeated, stalled and stretched until the finale. The actors were stupendous, the ladies all beautiful and the setting, rich. The Baldwin episode was a preachy one with nothing to back it up. It inserts a black competitor in a part of history that didn't belong. The fun eeks out after the abused big boy child tries to chop all of the swans heads off for being like his mother. Women don't like that.
