Terror Is A Man (1959)
The lesson always seems to insinuate that when man interferes with the environment, even if it it is to save us, it only exacerbates the situation. The creeps activate, the atmosphere encompasses it and the main alphas (male & female) are surreal. 06-Dec-2019
Hypnotically rendered but the message doesn't stretch past religious privilege, perversity, addiction and violence. The emotions are vacant and no one has a built-in fight in them. 04-Dec-2019
Thing From Another World, The (1951)
Causing terror with good old fashioned Hollywood techniques. The film reboots beautifully because it's brilliant. They delivered a completely terrifying story and trusted the audience to use their imagination. 03-Dec-2019
Someone breaks the peace treaty America made with the aliens by attacking them. The aliens are everything history imagined, the scares are chilling and the relationship held interest. Too bad the characters had to talk. 01-Dec-2019
American Horror Story: 1984 (2019-)
S9E9. The Murphyverse met the Whedonverse and it was magical. 20-Nov-2019
S9E7. Standalone horror perfection. 01-Nov-2019
Am I going to have to take viagra for the rest of the season? I never thought I'd need it, but ok. 26-Sep-2019
Simplicity is the best tailored suit for horror. The mythology is trembly and the franchise is freshening up.
Gus Kentworthy can feed a hungry gay senior trailer park with a strip and a flex. Emma Roberts is making all the right choices. Cody Fern is still holding back a layer. Matthew Morrison's penis is LOL. Leslie Grossman works better alone. Billie Lourd wants to steal it and Papa Murph is initiating another squirt test. 22-Sep-2019
Friend of a friend starts experiencing supernatural episodes after her friend starts dating. For the majority of it, it follows typical horror terrain where nothing makes sense and the end is sure to be crappy but when they explain it, it all falls into place. 15-Nov-2019
A concoction of horror and sci-fi that dance when married. 01-Nov-2019
Funhouse, The (1981)
The premise is sold as soon as Hooper snaps everything into place. (What a missed opportunity not giving him a Bat to direct.) 27-Oct-2019
Blackcoat's Daughter, The (2015)
Every persona suffers from peculiarity. The film courses through a dark vein and almost clinches God vs monster but it left too many holes uncapped. 25-Oct-2019
Married At First Sight (2014-)
S7E6. Naivete about the experiment is no longer viable because the mice have been coached by previous seasons. It's the show's sanity at test because the mice are the new experts that will mold the show through its entirety. As each season passes and we tire of them, the couples will most likely end up swapping with each other (see season 5, alpha Ashley Petty deserved alpha Cody Knapek and Anthony deserved for Danielle to put him on a diet.) The premise will continue to work because God's plan brought them together. The queens giving men sex, before and after catastrophe struck, was downright professional. 23-Oct-2019
Uh Oh. S6. Shawniece and Jephte made adorability joyous. May they enjoy an 88. 20-Oct-2019
S5E7. Fuck the experts, listen to the dogs! 05-Oct-2019
Experts encouraging couples to overlook red flags in a marriage because pretense defeats how a person feels. 21-Sep-2019
90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Tell All (2019)
The silences were as creepy as the perjury. The individuals allowed the worst to happen to them because they misconstrued social media's message of full acceptance. When danger is involved, you allow mental clarity to check in not ask it to make you blind. It was an unintentional Halloween special that intrigued and horrified with no special thought. We yelled at the screen but they didn't listen. Everyone knows that Cinderella marrying Shrek is bad. 21-Oct-2019
Ring Two, The (2005)
All remains intact. The sequel embraces mother care and courage whilst boasting designer scares. 11-Oct-2019
Peculiar family traversing normal obstacles. Toni Collette doesn't just wreck, she explodes. The script challenges the actors and derives tension from emotional disturbance. Ari Aster keeps the scares familial, mysterious and skittish. The more we know the less satisfaction but the work remains solid because it's preceded by excellence. 09-Oct-2019
He's Out There (2018)
Minor details manage to give the family attributes that the film ignores, Yvonne Strahovski steps up to bat and the Piniowsky darlings keep you uptight and entrenched. 06-Oct-2019
Sinner, The (2017-)
It doesn't best the first but it doesn't disrespect it either. The star quality is shared as a group with Pullman adding concerned exhaustion to his detective. The new mystery accelerates, deepens and hurls. Gay swatch, moppet intensity, daddy squish and juicy revelations abound. 03-Sep-2019
It terrifies with the psychology that no matter how virtuous the effort, parents can't take pride in giving life if they can't provide a way for the distressed to enjoy it.
Jessica Biel may be putting up walls but they're decorative. She has the same light that burned Farah's wings on.
I couldn't put the book down. 07-Jul-2018
