Bridgerton (2026)

The bon bons were chocolatey and delicious. The players remain irresistible and the newbies matched them. It was nice to see Anthony but the actor playing him kept downplaying himself. A fairytale re-written by a fantasy show that applies reason to magic. Coincidences abound, romance was genuine, the support was better than mice, the chemistry was outstanding, production exquisite, writing was sharp and sentimental and wands aren't the only way to conjure magic. 09-Mar-2026
Boyfriend, The (2024-)

The boys dedicated two months to an experiment that could fix emotional fractures. The hosts were watchers who philosophized what the men might be going through and offer distinctive points of view. Topics were mostly nondescript, serious and or obsessive. The atmosphere was calm and the boys were intellectually appealing. Their approach to love and attraction was mature and endearing. It still feels like the boys are stuck in a dreamworld of unattainable things but their progression makes us believe and wish it were true. Their emotional experience was also ours. Respect to the men for being open and charismatic. 18-Feb-2026
S1E6. The boys are sweet and childlike in a comic book sort of way. No one lets their guard down enough, even in private. They bear the pain instead of exfoliating it. American gay dating differs. You get dumped with dick pics. These boys are corny, manic depressive and oppressed. Dude, I would have been raped 11 times by the time anyone plotted anything. 04-Aug-2024
Wrecking Crew, The (2026)

Action entertainment sweetened by its protagonists. Morena flamed. Her heroics were down to earth and her chemicals reacted well to the male hormone. I was as interested in the drama as I was in the action. HI Daddies did their thing. 13-Feb-2026
The sad reason customers have fled El Salvadoran restaurant that went viral for helping LA riot cops
On Monday, Elizabeth stood in front of her business, a Salvadoran restaurant called La Ceiba, just two days after the terrifying incident when a handful of LA County Sheriff's deputies overcome by tear gas burst into her small restaurant.
Without missing a beat, Mendoza's cousin, Rosa, jumped in and splashed milk and water into the grateful deputies' eyes.
‘I helped them because we are all humans,’ Rosa told DailyMail.com. ‘They needed our help and we are here to serve.’

Twinless (2025)

Dylan is all grown-up and ready for his close-up. Both turns are different and complex. Each side brought his personality forward and succeeded. One precarious and adventuresome, the other, patient and understanding. I kept seeing him as Nightwing. Maybe because I was imagining his impressive butt in tights. James Sweeney quietly tempered his character to fit a personality whose desire to fight loneliness outweighed the prescription that cures it. The foot suck was everything. Two men become attached when they share twin loss. When a twin dies, the survivor no longer has a mirror to base their lives on. One is gay, the other not but they create a bond that soothes the emptiness. A mirror to their souls. Susan Parks was sarcastic and aware. Two great attributes for comedy. Lauren Graham's sympathetic but volatile persona glorified a lot of her scenes. Francois Arnaud beefed things up by looking short, turning us on and being a dick. The cast was funny and endearing, the comedy was intellectual, the drama was bold, the sex was hot and politics were non-existent. I enjoyed it a lot. 20-Jan-2026
Train Dreams (2025)

The historical life of a logger explored and how life politics and choices detoured his path to happiness. Loss is a pain whose wound never heals. It remains in memory banks of hope. Robert Granier is categorized by an actor that added honor to sympathy. Edgerton owned it. Life is simpler than I thought and harder. 09-Jan-2026
Stranger Things (2016-2025)
It was all heart and I loved it. 01-Jan-2026
I enjoyed this season because I accepted what it was instead of what it should be. 09-Dec-2025
If this were an enjoyable season I wouldn't have talked about their hair. The retro lab visit was every mythological idea the auteurs and their fan pages dreamed up during video chats. It met everywhere but the middle. Russian prison was an excuse to keep actors that can't stand each other apart. (The audience likes them together.) The prison chapter peaked when daddy shaved his hair. He won Best Hair. The extra stuff put me to sleep. Too much. 01-Jun-2022
S4E5. I was surprised how much I had forgotten and remembered. Old people don't have time to look back. There isn't much time. The hair is horrendous. A guaranteed 80's do is brushing it forwards, teasing it, spraying it and letting it go. Instant throwback art. El is a super dork with boy crushes, the token of leftwing communist bullying and delicate. She's a dehumanized weapon. Comicbook El would have found gifts of other strength to make her cope and conquer. Why would she become Carrie? Some of the characters were hard to bear. It zooms away from sense, piles for representation and exemplifies fandom exhaustion. The hair. Worst ever! 30-May-2022
PS: I spent most of the season wanting to comb everybody's messy hair. 08-Aug-2019
The magic dissipated in #3 but unity, bromance, and a pulverizing ending held it up. 06-Aug-2019
#2 gratified every sense with throb and tenderness. 29-Nov-2017
There can't be much to disconcert when with every dedication and homage you are dealt original cards with likeable imprinted players and a perplexing with soul reflexing game.
Wynona is unwavering in motherhood vs sanity as David Harbour is papa Bear strength. The kids are inherent, funny and affecting. Millie Bobbi Brown is tasked with conveyance of eye speak and she handles it beautifully.
Success is achieved through inspiration not impersonation. 29-Aug-2016
Life Of Chuck, The (2024)

It's sweet but reserved. A man's life is explored by the people he touched and inspired him. The main facets of a person's life told out of order with much respect. Does the universe die with you when you go? The actors were easy to like and most eloquent. Hiddleston's time is short but he made the best of it. His dance was joyous, drummer girl rocked, the children were well taught, Hamill made it understood and Mia was glorious. It's Stephen King from the heart. 31-Dec-2025
Mickey 17 (2025)

I watched ready to be disappointed but I was not. It was made for a future generation to fuss over and dissect. Pattinson is a beaten man who has to keep dying in order to survive. His accent and softness humanized Mickey 17 and convinced me to follow him. Pattinson's flashlight stayed on throughout even while twinning. Ruffalo's villain was way over the top. Naomi Aaki pumps the heart and kicks the ass. It's original, bonkers, nerdy and funny but the film lacked space. The supporting cast could have used it. I never stopped caring. 30-Dec-2025
Great Flood, The (2025)

It wasn't something I expected but am very pleased that it turned out that way. Patience begets understanding, information and the importance of acting as a whole instead of as an individual. I presumed that our leads gave a great performance in their native language but I chose dub and the acting was horrible, esp. the adorable child. It didn't matter because talking wasn't necessary. There are only so many words one can blurt out in an end of life scenario. It haunted, it accelerated and broke a few hearts. 23-Dec-2025
It: Welcome To Derry (2025)

S1E8. It survives because of memorable shots. The fog, the gumption, It's eyes sparkling, It skipping, It doing anything. The solution seemed too simplified for such an extravagant showcase. 18-Dec-2025
It was the most frightening yet. S1E7. The best way to honor culture is to be honest and inquisitive. I do not understand what It is, more than when I read the book as a child. It was a hefty book. I read on because a beast's rape of a boy sounded familiar to me. I was born to it. I think Bill betrayed his Pennywise character by acting like a kid pretending to be an adult as a human. It was a letdown. The culture clash is not storytelling but stoning. How is one group better than the other? I kept thinking, if we nixed the adult footage would it matter, more?
PS: when soldier mama asked the accused to get undressed I was confused. How did she hide a black naked man in her car with her underage son from the army? 08-Dec-2025
The babies don't step on cues and are willing to make their characters heart-born. I always resented Charlie Brown for cancelling adults but it should apply here. Every time the children were not present, the momentum faltered. The prequel suffers from grandiosity when it needed to be more intimate. It's how gradually works. It never starts better. Where were these military bastards in the future? I'm confused. Is anybody going to explain why dead boy proclaimed that It sleeps all day and feeds all night? I say, "then why is It terrorizing them during the day? Constantly!" The only acceptable answer is, "he was lying." If all doors to a fantasy are left open, it would create chaos. I suspend disbelief in order to enjoy the story but I can't tolerate the nonsensical. The prequel boggles the part of the imagination I would need to believe. TMI. 29-Nov-2025
Final Draft (2025-)

My first reaction was, come on, why are they always so nice? Then I realized they didn't enter the competition to beat their competitors but themselves. The challenges were grueling, athlete bodies were supe-worthy and togetherness was everywhere. The competitors enjoyed the spectacle as much as I did. 16-Nov-2025
Frankenstein (2025)

Del Toro kept me in awe and made imaginative choices. Oscar was an excitable Victor, full of verve, vigor and craft. Mia cast a bright shine whenever she appeared and her dresses were resplendent. Elordi lent the creature beauty and humanity. There were times where I saw the actor underneath but it was only an x-ray. The man was fully invested. The story was inspiring, the style elegant, the horror realistic and the action pulsating. 09-Nov-2025
Alien: Earth (2025-)

An A+ assignment that did extra credit. Machines against humanity even as they become. The villains are DC worthy, the human/machine analogy is intriguing and the actors are treating the story with care. It's a joy to be scared without Pazuzu's involvement. 10-Sep-2025
Monkey, The (2025)

As scary as the little fucker was, the monkey's structure was undefined. I got most of the gist but a lot of it was fogged up. If it can destroy towns why didn't it do it in the first place? How does the monkey choose who to kill and when it stops? The attacks were coordinated but sense killed a lot of it. It excels in the least likeliest of places: a solid story, emotional balance, talent and imagination. I wanted to stay in their lives and deconstruct the monkey. Theo James wasted no emotion or thought in his performance and was very effective. The young twins blew me away. I didn't know it was one actor portraying both. When they were onscreen together I kept thinking, "they must be fraternal because they don't look that much alike." It was impressive. It had all the elements to elevate itself but the monkey's mythology was weak and very Final Destination. 08-Aug-2025
