Boys, The (2019-)
Besides the maestro, Starlight's rejuvenation was my favorite thing. 22-Jul-2024
Homefucker took twitch to its ultimate, grew from it and became remarkable. Someone invited Smirk to the party so he can curse it? He's still smirking away and sounding like a condescending cunt. The twist befits him like a glove. Yes, I would submit to his gravelly words and old man charms. Is that all A-Train or are there other plastics involved? Nice. Mama's Milk has the right amount of daddy issues. Kimiko and Frenchie are still a power couple even though Frenchie has accent disabilities. Star watt. Starlight's abilities were stifled. The series made me realize that Karl Urban can be fun. Quaid can get away with a lot. Sage was waiting for this all her life and she's acing it. The Deep is reenacting some personal memories. Respect. There are stalling tactics that defy reason. The enemies keep bumping into each other but nobody keeps the promise to slaughter the other. One explanation should suffice. Nepo Homelander is sending Damien vibes. Anthony Starr has a grip on us. 12-Jul-2024
Twitch daddy twitch. 24-Jun-2022
The season belongs to daddy Homefucker. 24-Jun-2022
Shue clenches frustration devoutly, Starr chomps evil gleefully and the end punctuated surprisingly. 26-Aug-2019

Danny Thomas Show, The (1953-1965)
There seems to be silence on the legacy of this classic sitcom. It started as Make Room For Daddy and mushroomed into The Danny Thomas Show. I saw all of the latter and only a handful of the other. The actress playing his wife, in the first half, had disdain for the man and it showed. Her composure did not scream nurturing, romantic or in love. Wrong place for the wrong actress. Danny played a version of himself. He was a singer/comedian who worked nightclubs. Jabbing at Danny's Lebanese culture was open, respectful and knowledgable. Lucy & Desi were his parents (friends) and Dick Van Dyke was his cousin (spin-off.) The show was blessed with energetic ideas, comic genius and non-stop showmanship. Danny must have learned how Lucy did it because he found his cute and sarcastic wit. Second wife was glamorous, vindictive, funny and hot. Marjorie Lord went shopping with Lucy Ricardo, cooked in fashion, got him in the mood and plotted her revenge in a very elegant and comical manner. The son is a scene stealer. Even when he made a mistake he diverted it with more funny. His adorability peaked in his tweens and crashed in his teens but he had a memorable run. Funny as fuck. The daughter was a prime teen that left before her character became unbearable. She had her moments. Louise was the household maid that was played by two elder pros. She got to hug white children, gossip with the wife, celebrate as a family member and sass the boss. A proud black woman. She isn't in all the episodes but the character remained til the end. The guest stars were numerous. The writers succeeded in incorporating them into strong storylines. The topics were basic, like feminism, how men can't do anything right, a woman can do anything men can do, a gift abolishes snarls and make-up sex is her way of accepting an apology. Penny from Lost In Space enters as a cute sister moppet that was supposed to bring adorability and sunshine. She was a work in progress. She laughs during line readings and when Mr. Thomas is doing his thing. She's cute and annoying. He was a great teacher, though. He hands a season to his working buddy and his domineering wife, played by the original Ursula from the Little Mermaid. It was an odd experiment giving supporting players full reign. They had to fill really big shoes and were no longer the sitcom air freshener. Ursula flopped around like she was getting paid to play charades on land. She was a bit too much. Danny was a ham. He sang in almost every episode. He shoved it down our throats but was so adamant and easy going that we learned to accept it and stopped praying that he didn't sing in the next episode. They had minorities galore and a successful run from the 50s through the 60s. Well-written, comical, consistent and timeless. One of a kind. Why don't we ever celebrate it? 06-Jun-2023
Grace & Frankie (2015 -)
The art of adorability. I would have been fine with a Dolly God. 08-Jun-2022
The new feedings are delicious. 21-Jan-2019
The characters were allowed to age in disgrace and we felt for them. 11-Jul-2018
Jane steps up to Lilly's pedestal and the gay daddies are finally getting storylines worthy of their aptitude and our senior representation. The adorableness takes away some of the fear of getting older and the girls supply a comfortable environment to bask in. 16-Jun-2017
We can totally do without the stereotypical husbands. All we need is Fonda and Tomlin and a phone book. The only thing that can make it better is Dolly. Legends. 31-Dec-2015
Stranger Things (2016 -)
If this were an enjoyable season I wouldn't have talked about their hair. The retro lab visit was every mythological idea the auteurs and their fan pages dreamed up during video chats. It met everywhere but the middle. Russian prison was an excuse to keep actors that can't stand each other apart. (The audience likes them together.) The prison chapter peaked when daddy shaved his hair. He won Best Hair. The extra stuff put me to sleep. Too much. 01-Jun-2022
S4E5. I was surprised how much I had forgotten and remembered. Old people don't have time to look back. There isn't much time. The hair is horrendous. A guaranteed 80's do is brushing it forwards, teasing it, spraying it and letting it go. Instant throwback art. El is a super dork with boy crushes, the token of leftwing communist bullying and delicate. She's a dehumanized weapon. Comicbook El would have found gifts of other strength to make her cope and conquer. Why would she become Carrie? Some of the characters were hard to bear. It zooms away from sense, piles for representation and exemplifies fandom exhaustion. The hair. Worst ever! 30-May-2022
PS: I spent most of the season wanting to comb everybody's messy hair. 08-Aug-2019
The magic dissipated in #3 but unity, bromance, and a pulverizing ending held it up. 06-Aug-2019
#2 gratified every sense with throb and tenderness. 29-Nov-2017
There can't be much to disconcert when with every dedication and homage you are dealt original cards with likeable imprinted players and a perplexing with soul reflexing game.
Wynona is unwavering in motherhood vs sanity as David Harbour is papa Bear strength. The kids are inherent, funny and affecting. Millie Bobbi Brown is tasked with conveyance of eye speak and she handles it beautifully.
Success is achieved through inspiration not impersonation. 29-Aug-2016
Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977)
S7E12. Ted is sexually harassed and Mary and Murray tease him into temptation. A man asks Murray out for a date. 24-Oct-2021
S7E7. The only way to deal with a gifted child is to beat the crap out of him. 17-Oct-2021
S7E6. Ted describes The Happy Homemaker as a pig in a trough on broadcast news. 15-Oct-2021
S7E4. How Mary, Lou and genius handle a "woke" feminist hired as a sportscaster even though she is unqualified and doesn't respect management. 15-Oct-2021
S5E21. Mary rocks stripper gear and a prostitute teaches Georgette how to call business clients "tricks". 11-Mar-2021
S5E7. The episode where Betty White outcunts Bea Arthur. 24-Jan-2021
S4E8. Grandmas get horny too. 24-Dec-2020
S4E5. Super silver daddy with big brother ass wears hooker pumps to work. Yum! 23-Dec-2020
S4E1. Before Betty White drowned us in honey she perfected an empowered slut known as "The Happy Homemaker." She is introduced during one of Mary's lousy parties in which Phyllis' husband takes her home and almost never returns. The affair is handled with aplomb. A well versed human rights campaigner versus an eager and empowered cunt. The ladies are fabulous, Mary has the best solution and Teddy/Aquaman was delicious. 20-Dec-2020
S3E17. Classic sex identification episode. It's Mary's first party, Georgette is on hand to steal it and Rhoda is dating Phyllis' brother whose meant for Mary. The adult banter is resplendent, the emotions are on cue and the acting is sublime. 05-Dec-2020
The better Mary's hair gets, the more brilliant the show. 26-Nov-2020
S1E22. The origin of twinks. 04-Nov-2020
Class Act. 21-Jul-2017
Elite (2018-)
Sexy gorgeous creatures don't preach, they do. 04-Jul-2021
The beautiful ones return in high style and peak bloom.
Fluidity is tunneled, pummeled and charged. The freedom to inherit all relationship prospects is an elite politic that facilitates mass hurt because the kids that invented it are incapable of successfully mastering it. They're human.
The parents do as Oprah taught them and heal most of their miracles' hemorrhage with gifts and money.
The beauties confusing the system to reclaim justice was resplendent.
The mystery continues and concludes, the ones are masters of bitchiness and heartbreak and the thread is reinforced nylon. Brava! 29-Mar-2020
The season was mapped mathematically and it hit every point. The actors are snug in their roles and stamping their characters. The drama makes you talk to yourself, the police work is thought out and everything looks delicious. Cool as fuck. 23-Sep-2019
They represent with no restraints and the teens are regarded with soul. The societal menace is heavier, coddling is out and the hurt is overwhelming. They are fighting a world adults complicated with wee survival skills. Beauty is diverse and it lingers because the writers keep tearing at it. 23-Nov-2018
Miranda (2009-20015)
You can successfully write stupid if the cast is willing to forego all boundaries and accept the stupidity in all of us. It can be unrealistic, silly but fun. There are more misses than hits but when they do, they are uproarious. Kisses to Queen Kong and a supportive staff, cunning to break out. 14-Feb-2021
Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (2020)
There aren't that many surprises left in Jurassic World but this is a nice bumpy ride. The dinosaurs were majestic and the kids grew on me. It's kiddie but allows an adult to visit the adorable place in their heads where all can go except stoned Uncle Bill. 08-Oct-2020
One Day at a Time (2017-)
I will always have affection for these people but I truly hope they find that thing this season lost. 04-May-2020
S4E3. E1 and E2 had me worried. It was loud and high strung in celebration of a second chance, feeling like a parody of itself. Episode 3 brought masturbation realness and hilarity, peak character delight and mama diva (Moreno) steal moments. The hardest I've laughed all year. 10-Apr-2020
All about relationships. Gracias. 03-Mar-2019
Motivating argument about the rules modern life coerces. Proficiently displayed, adoringly regarded and stamping the sitcom with the purpose TV forgot. 13-Feb-2019
Justina Machado is excellent and Rita Moreno embodies everything we miss about a Golden Girl. They've added superior daddy squish and the support is amiable reinforcement. Cheers. 01-Mar-2018
At first glance, you are inclined to think that this is an exploitation of a classic and respected series with token latino stereotypes. By the fourth episode you realize that it chose this community to depict because it needs updating the most and it feeds right into the original's claim. It's hard raising a latin family when the men are scarce and the women try to empower themselves at the cost of tradition. There are times you will be transported to all those arguments Lear presented between classic characters, fair to each but being persistent that the last word goes to the changing present. Justina Machado plays Penelope Alvarez with the same amount as distraught, parental overprotection and survivor's challenge that Bonnie Franklin's Ann Romano did. Rita Moreno's accent is old fashioned pastiche but she is a full character, beloved and is having a helluva time making us laugh. The kids aspire for realness instead of cute and Schneider is cute without the creep. 30-Jan-2017
Good Place, The (2016-)
Finale. I liked the idea that we choose when to end our lives. Every character was sentimentally dismissed and Danson squished the mightiest. 04-Feb-2020
When you free a series from the restraints of discipline and thought, it becomes everything and nothing. The romance is ill matched plus unfeeling and the hottie/asian is suffering from acute stupidity. 27-Jan-2019
It moved forwards predictably, simplifying life without ever defining it. 30-Sep-2018
It coasts on adorability (Ted Danson and Jason Mendoza) but the writers have a knack for erasing the outline and having them/us recommence. They also pat themselves on the back by having an asian represented as inane. It limits the actor and society will think they're all stupid. The creators couldn't find a medium that doesn't propel an insult? 12-Feb-2018
IZombie (2015 -)
I wanted to finish it but a constant character shift and the silliness that accompanies it trumped everything I loved about it. 30-Aug-2019
Not a stellar season because they forgot that mythology trumps "case of the week." The only constant is that the characters are still funny and very squishy. 21-Jul-2017
The finale is what mythologies in these kind of shows are made of. Every episode we watched earlier was referenced for a very climactic ending and tied all the bows together. I am very proud. It was Buffylicious. 16-May-2016
Goes down light, easy and sweet. 21-Oct-2015
Always Be My Maybe (2018)
Cuteness chokes us in, Keanu's monster beard cues us out and inequality kills it. Having the woman win doesn't make it equal. 30-Aug-2019
Tales of the City (2019)
It suffers from appeasement. It wants to speak for everyone which sometimes creates a whisper. The loud is that family can be found as well as borne. The mysteries don't pump the heart, it confuses gripes with wit and it doesn't break new ground. All it wants to do is represent us. It did fine with that. 29-Jun-2019
Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
They brought me joy, I dorked out and Buffy doesn't hurt. 17-May-2019
It was a Mother's Day Pop-Up card. Well done. 14-May-2019
It's a group effort, Sheldon. 21-Jul-2017
Gidget's Summer Reunion (1985)
Little girl feminist revamp. They don't exhibit likeness to any of the original characters but "the feel" is intact. Men prevailed short shorts, everyone oozed good health and greater hair. The environment exuded flexibility. 27-Feb-2019
