The Golden Bachelor’s Not-So-Golden Past

She arrived the last weekend of July 2018. (THR has viewed mail that was sent to her at his house, and a background check listed his address as her primary residence for that period.) Then, the surprises started. Gerry told Carolyn that her share of the expenses would be about $1,000 a month, which Carolyn negotiated down to $850. They would go Dutch on all meals except on special occasions, she remembers him telling her. At restaurants, Carolyn paid her half in advance, and then when the check came, Gerry paid the whole tab, like the big man.

But Carolyn’s Big Long Lake idyll with Gerry was about to end.

She was packing for Gerry’s high school reunion, set to take place in October 2019. “I’m not taking you to the reunion looking like that,” Carolyn recalls him saying as he pointed to her body. She’d put on 10 pounds — from stress, she says — but certainly wasn’t fat.

Kids With Cognitive Problems Can Be Locked Up for Years Without a Trial

In California and across much of the country, children with cognitive problems routinely languish in custody for months or years while judges determine whether they’ll be able to pick up the skills needed for a fair trial. Most states don’t have comprehensive programs to help these kids become “competent,” as the courts call it, referring to someone who has the ability to assist their attorneys with their defense and possesses a solid understanding of the charges and proceedings against them. In one egregious case, according to a legal director at the National Juvenile Defender Center, children were asked to watch episodes of Law & Order to prepare for their trials.

A Mother Stabbed Her Son to Death Because He Was Gay

This is heartbreaking. According to Fox News, a mother in Brazil has admitted to hiring men to beat up her son and then later stabbed him to death. The reason? Simply for being gay.
On December 29, Tatiana Lozano Pereira lured her 17-year-old son Itaberli Lozano to their home. After kicking him out over a disagreement, Pereira pretended that she wanted to make peace with her son and welcomed him back home. Instead of a peace offering, she had hired two “thugs” waiting for him when he arrived; Pereira had hired them to beat him up and “teach him a lesson.”

After deciding this wasn’t enough, she ordered the two teenage boys to kill him. They refused, so she took the knife herself and stabbed her son to death.

With the help of her husband (the boy’s stepfather), they carried the body to a field near Highway José Fregonezi in Cravinhos and burned it. Lozano’s grandmother reported his disappearance and began to suspect the mother’s responsibility. Authorities discovered the teenager’s charred body on January 7.

Number of LGBT Youth ‘Beaten Out of Their Homes’ By Parents On the Increase: VIDEO

Two UK LGBT charities have said that growing numbers of young gay people are being forced from their family homes because their parents refuse to accept their sexuality.

According to the Albert Kennedy Trust and Stonewall Housing, some young LGBT people are being “beaten out of their homes” while others are being sent abroad in an attempt to cure them of their homosexuality.

The Albert Kennedy Trust, a LGBT youth homelessness charity, said it has seen a 20 percent increase in the numbers of young LGBT people seeking its help with homelessness since 2012. The charity estimates that 4,800 young LGBT people in the UK are now homeless or living in hostile environments.

Grandfather writes scathing letter disowning his daughter after she kicks out her own son for being gay

A young man who was kicked out of the house by his mum when he came out as gay has found an unlikely champion - in his grandfather.

Chad reportedly told his mum Christine that he was attracted to other men, but she was unable to accept that facet of her son, promptly telling him he was 'against nature’ and throwing him out.

But according to this letter, when Chad asked his grandpa - Christine's dad - for help, he was greeted with human kindness which warms the heart.

The letter, written by 'Dad', has been shared online, with the writer unafraid of harsh words to let his daughter know just how disappointed he is in her.

Chicago-area grandfather sues grandson, 13, for car accident that killed grandmother

CHICAGO — A grandfather has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against his grandson for a crash in March that killed the boy’s grandmother in north suburban Niles.

About 9 p.m. March 26, 79-year-old Kuem Soon Cho gave the keys to her 2005 Chrysler minivan to her 13-year-old grandson to help her place the minivan in gear in a parking lot in the 9200 block of Maryland Street, CBS Chicago reports Niles police said at the time.

The grandson shifted the vehicle in reverse and his foot accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, police said. Cho was walking up to open the driver’s side door at the time and was struck by the minivan.

Malaysian gay man receives 12-year jail term for murdering boyfriend

A Malaysian gay man was handed a 12-year jail term this morning, after pleading guilty to murdering his boyfriend of eight years.

Tan Chee Yeow, 40, admitted to stabbing his boyfriend, 48-year-old Tan Chin Siong, to death at a walkway near a train station in Singapore on 4 September 2015.

Both men met each other in Malaysia’s Johor Bahru 9 years ago, and the accused moved to Singapore that very same year upon the victim’s request.

However, the relationship unexpectedly deterioriated in 2012, when the accused wanted to be publicly recognised as the victim’s partner. The victim wanted to keep their relationship low-profile, especially from his immediate family.

RADAR Knows The Identity of the Kingpin of the Hollywood Pedophile Ring (But Isn’t Telling Yet)

RADAROnline says they know the identity of the Hollywood A-list star who raped ’80s child star Corey Haim. They go on to allege that he is the “kingpin” of a massive pedophile ring that is an open secret in Hollywood and has brazenly gotten away with the abuse for almost three decades. Haim’s friend, Corey Feldman, has been outspoken about the abuse he, too, suffered, but says that he can’t say anything due to statues of limitation and libel laws.

RADAR has been investigating the story for over four years and have their sources all lined up.

Radar is choosing not to name the superstar sexual predator at this time, but can reveal that he is one of the most recognizable faces in the industry.

In what would be the biggest development yet in exposing the seedy underbelly of organized pedophilia at the heart of Tinseltown, people close to the late Haim — who died in 2010 of a drug overdose at the age of 38 — are threatening to out the pedophile who raped the teen prodigy.

He is facing charges for murder and manslaughter after killing his roommate and possible boyfriend Bernardo Almonte, a 27 year-old freelance IT technician.

Orlando Massacre: ‘Ashamed’ Father Reportedly Refused to Claim Gay Son’s Body

Nearly 90 percent of the people killed in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history were of Hispanic descent.

The Puerto Rican community was hit especially hard: almost half of all Pulse casualties — 23 of them — were from the island.

But for one young latin man, the sad reality of homophobia reportedly made the circumstances surrounding his death even more appalling.

Local news blog The Orlando Latino reported that a father refused to claim his son’s body because the son was gay, and the father was ashamed. “The tale is part of the untold stories of the Latino victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre,” the blog wrote.

As heartbreaking as it sounds, the episode illustrates how the stigma of being gay is still very alive in the socially conservative island. Among Puerto Rican residents ages 35 and older, only 26 percent of the population favored the legalization of same-sex marriage, according to a 2014 Pew Research Center poll.

Gay Star News: Gay people are now more likely to be in open relationships than stay monogamous

Gay people are now more likely to be in open relationships than stay monogamous, according to a new survey.

Research looking into Victoria, Australia, found 32% of the 2886 questioned were in open relationships.

This is only slightly more than the respondents who said they were monogamous, which was 31%, and 23% said they were only having casual sex. The rest, 14%, were not having sex.

Almost half of respondents, 48%, said they used apps like Grindr and Scruff to meet other guys, up from 35% in 2012.
