Gay man sues NYC spa for trying to give him ‘a happy ending’
When 34-year-old gay New Jersey resident Ronnie Arnau went to the Living Fresh Men’s Spa in Chelsea, Manhattan for a massage last month, he expected “a normal massage.” But he claims the spa’s masseur began caressing his buttocks and genitals 10 minutes into the massage.
So now Arnau is suing for sexual assault.
According to a lawsuit filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, masseur Pei Tian began focusing “exclusively on Arnau’s buttocks for an inordinate amount of time,” making Arnau very uncomfortable.
Child bride auctioned on Facebook in 'barbaric use of technology'
Facebook has come under fire for a "barbaric use of technology" that allowed the sale of a child bride to be held on its site.
An auction was held on the social media platform for a 16-year-old girl in South Sudan which sought payment for her hand in marriage.
Facebook said the post was taken down as soon as the company learned of it, but that wasn't until after the girl was married.
According to children's rights organization Plan International, the girl was bid on by five men, some of whom were reportedly high-ranking South Sudanese government officials.

Multiple People Accuse Music Producer Hot Sugar of Sexual Assault and 'Toxic' Behavior
Multiple people have come forward to accuse Nick Koenig, a.k.a. music producer and DJ Hot Sugar, of assault and “toxic,” “controlling” behavior.
The accusations, which The Daily Beast’s gender reporter Emily Shugerman described as “a kind of open secret in parts of the music world,” came to light on November 9, thanks to an Instagram account called @realhotsugar. The account—which a anonymous former partner of Koenig’s says she created after she heard alarming allegations from others—began posting anonymous claims of abuse and predatory behavior, along with contextually damning social media posts made by the musician in the past.
Police search for religious supplies store attacker
Police on Tuesday were searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted someone in a suburban St. Louis religious supplies store and fatally shot a customer before fleeing.
Authorities identified the woman who was killed Monday at the Catholic Supply of St. Louis store as Jamie Schmidt, of House Springs. The 53-year-old mother of three was active in her parish and sang in the choir, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
St. Louis County police were searching for a man described as 5-foot-7 with a heavy build. They say he wore an ivy hat, sometimes known as a newsboy hat, during the attack and that he should be considered armed and dangerous. Police were seeking the public's help in finding him.

When Does BDSM Become Abuse?
After a recent death in the online kinkster community, many people began to question the limits of submissive relationships.
In Instagram photos, Dylan Hafertepen, a master to five adult slaves, appears cartoonishly large, like a Tom of Finland sketch come to life. In one of his most iconic shots (since deleted from the gram) Dylan gives a military salute to the camera as his pups Chuck, Angus, Daniel, Biff and Tank pose around him. Some are wearing skin-tight jockstraps that barely contain their inflated ball sacks. Tank, whose given name was Jack Chapman, sits on Dylan’s right side, wearing a red bandana, with a padlocked chain around his neck. He’s beaming.
A Teen Was Allegedly Sexually Assaulted With A Broomstick At A Prestigious All-Boys Catholic School In Toronto
Police in Toronto are seeking information on multiple incidents of alleged sexual and physical assaults at a private all-boys Catholic school after videos of two of the alleged assaults surfaced on social media earlier this week.
St. Michael’s College School in Toronto has expelled eight students and suspended one after videos of two separate incidents — one which involved allegations of sexual assault — were circulated online.
Toronto police said Friday that its investigation into one of the incidents — in which a student was allegedly sexually assaulted with a broomstick by a group of boys in a locker room — has opened a “number of occurrences involving incidents of alleged assaultive and sexually assaultive behavior” at the school.

Former cop who abused troubled young men killed his ex-lover to hide evidence
Joseph Mlyniec was a volunteer firefighter, Rotary and Town Board member, and sheriff’s deputy in his small upstate New York hometown. Now he’s been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for killing his former lover and friend.
Mlyniec had a dirty secret. He would lure troubled young men back to his farmhouse where he would force them to have sex in exchange for food and money.
When his friend, Robert Irvine, got wind of what was going on, Mlyniec panicked. Fearing exposure, he shot Irvine four times in the driveway of his home and called police to confess to the crime.
Mlyniec pled guilty in court this week and Irvine’s friend and family finally got their chance to confront him.
Rose McGowan's heard more LGBTI MeToo stories 'than the media would ever cover’
Rose McGowan has talked about the impact of MeToo movement among LGBTIs, saying she’s ‘humbled’ when community members share their stories with her.
Speaking at Damian Barr’s Literary Salon in London last month, the activist said she’d heard more stories ‘than the media would ever cover’, particularly from gay men and boys.
The former Charmed actress became a figurehead for the MeToo movement, which fights against sexual abuse and assault, after becoming one of the most high profile accusers of disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein last year.
Asked by GSN at the event: ‘Would you like to see the the MeToo movement reverberate deeper among the LGBTI community and specifically gay men?’ Rose gave a detailed and thoughtful response.

Education Dept. Proposes Enhanced Protection For Students Accused Of Sexual Assault
Education Secretary Betsy DeVos announced sweeping rules on how colleges handle cases of sexual assault and harassment that she says will fix a "failed" and "shameful" system that has been unfair to accused students. In what the administration is calling a "historic process," the proposed rules aim to significantly enhance legal protections for the accused and reflect a sentiment expressed by President Trump that men are unfairly being presumed guilty. More than a year in the making, the rules replace Obama-era policies on how to implement Title IX, the law barring gender discrimination in schools that get federal funding.
The new rules are drawing both applause and anger.
Among the most significant changes is that schools can make it harder to prove allegations by raising the level of proof needed. Instead of requiring only a "preponderance of the evidence," as the Obama administration had directed, schools could demand "clear and convincing evidence." And many schools may well be forced to raise the bar, since the regulations also require that the standard for students be the same as that used for faculty and staff.

Conversion Therapy Is Still Happening And It's Killing LGBTQ Teens
This year, two movies about conversion therapy (or the idea that homosexuality and queerness are curable diseases) have hit the big screen to critical acclaim. Boy Erased, based on the memoir of the same title by Garrard Conley, and The Miseducation of Cameron Post, based on the novel by Emily Danforth, tell the stories of two teenagers from religious communities whose families enroll them in programs that promise to rid them of their same-sex attraction.
As someone from a religious background, I was moved by how realistic both films were about the pain of growing up in a community that rejects a major facet of your identity. But what I truly found to be one of the most emotional moments of Boy Erased was, in the film's final moments, when modern day conversion therapy facts started to appear on-screen. The film says that 700,000 LGBTQ people have been subjected to conversion therapy.
And it’s entirely true— conversion therapy is a reality. It’s still fully legally in 36 states, and strains of it run through too many religious communities to count. It's estimated that 20,000 LGBTQ teens will be subject to conversion therapy by a healthcare provider, and nearly 60,000 will be subject to "treatment" from a religious counselor before they turn 18.

Ex-altar boy is first in Penn. to file lawsuit against Catholic Church since bombshell AG report
A former altar boy claimed in a lawsuit Monday that he was molested repeatedly by a Pennsylvania priest who had admitted sexually abusing another boy a decade earlier — and who had been cleared to work with kids by a New Mexico clinic for troubled clergy that was derided in Catholic circles as "Camp Ped."
Bruno Tucci, now 76, allegedly abused the altar boy — who is identified in court papers only as a 29-year-old "John Doe" — between 1999 and 2001 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Nesquehoning, a small town 30 miles north of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
On one occasion, Tucci allegedly told the then pre-teen boy to "put his arms out like Jesus on the cross" while he fondled his exposed genitals, the lawsuit states.
