EBT, also known as food stamps or SNAP, is a government-run program that gives individuals with low incomes a small budget every month to buy groceries. And the idea that the government should control what EBT recipients are allowed to buy is a talking point often made by conservatives who would like to see the program either reduced or cut entirely. (Trump, for example, has proposed getting rid of EBT and replacing it with preset boxes of food, in which the recipient has no choice in what they get.)

As an asexual person, I can often feel excluded from the wider LGBTQ+ community. It can feel as if we are tolerated rather than welcomed, and sometimes even like we’re outright rejected. Having our validity disputed by LGBTQ+ peers is the most hurtful form of exclusion I have experienced.

A transgender YouTuber charged with raping her elderly dementia-stricken mom bragged, 'I'm famous on the internet,' and snapped at a judge for using the wrong pronoun as she was denied bail at a bond hearing on Thursday.

Christine Chandler, 39, known as Chris Chan on YouTube, also stomped her feet and demanded to be taken home during a hearing at the Green County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Virginia.

Chandler had interrupted the court proceedings to correct the Judge David Barredo after Barredo used the pronoun 'he' instead of 'she' to refer to Chandler.

Yes, Chick-fil-A Is Still Doing Harm to the Queer Community

Chick-fil-A’s billionaire owner Dan Cathy is still funding anti-LGBTQ+ efforts despite multiple pledges to stop and is reportedly one of the people behind one of "the most sophisticated dark money operations" ever seen.

That "dark money operation," run through the charitable National Christian Foundation (NCF), is one of the main barriers to the Equality Act passing, according to a new report from The Daily Beast, and is also funded by people like former U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and the owners of Hobby Lobby.

President Biden had promised to pass the Equality Act, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity protections to existing federal civil rights legislation, in his first 100 days. But after it was passed by the House, the bill has stalled in the Senate.
