Knight says his class would often do an exercise called ‘highs and lows’, where students share their recent experiences. In January’s session, he let his kids know he was going on a date. In February, the kids asked him how it went.

"They kept saying, what was she like, what was her name, and I said, ‘How would you feel if it was a she and not a he?’," Knight said. "I showed them a picture of my partner at the time. My sexuality never came up again after that."

EBT, also known as food stamps or SNAP, is a government-run program that gives individuals with low incomes a small budget every month to buy groceries. And the idea that the government should control what EBT recipients are allowed to buy is a talking point often made by conservatives who would like to see the program either reduced or cut entirely. As an asexual person, I can often feel excluded from the wider LGBTQ+ community. It can feel as if we are tolerated rather than welcomed, and sometimes even like we’re outright rejected. Having our validity disputed by LGBTQ+ peers is the most hurtful form of exclusion I have experienced.

Transgender YouTuber charged with raping her mom, 79

A transgender YouTuber charged with raping her elderly dementia-stricken mom bragged, 'I'm famous on the internet,' and snapped at a judge for using the wrong pronoun as she was denied bail at a bond hearing on Thursday.

Christine Chandler, 39, known as Chris Chan on YouTube, also stomped her feet and demanded to be taken home during a hearing at the Green County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Virginia.

Chandler had interrupted the court proceedings to correct the Judge David Barredo after Barredo used the pronoun 'he' instead of 'she' to refer to Chandler.
