Mars Needs Moms (2011)
The idea may need patchwork but the presentation is a realistic animated joy. The heart beats when the art moves forward. 18-Mar-2019
Goldie imports her star and her art whilst Amy conveys snarky rebellion. The film is daring dispensing mayhem and barbarity when the climate of the audience is sensitive. It may show better at a future time. (I still laughed.) 15-Mar-2019
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
I call myself erratic because I am. I presumed the group called themselves Queen because the lead singer was. Singer directs through a fog conveying no gay sensibilities or joy. He wasted high value entertainment opportunities. When Malek lip synchs he finds his Mercury but the act was teeth grinding. 09-Mar-2019
Ant-Man And The Wasp (2018)
The sense of humor is dippy and every chase revolved around the same target. It only soars when comic book comes to life and when Pfeiffer freshens it. 04-Mar-2019
I came close to forgiving the mounting horror cliches because the aspect of a troubled marriage being revived by isolation is worth exploration. Everything pertaining to the forest degrades it. 02-Mar-2019
Boy Erased (2018)
Respectfully tempered and accurate, miscast, minor provocation and out of range. I can hear the subject but I don't feel it. It needed to inform as well as wrench.
Nic exuded art but was limited by the character's sketch. 25-Feb-2019
Hollow Child, The (2017)
Environment kidnap children and reverse the etiquette that keeps them aligned to parental puppetry. Most of the fun derives from nasty child. 25-Feb-2019
A Demon Within (2017)
Child is perceived being possessed by a demon because of sudden unruliness or she could just be a teenager. There are times that the act and the tech apply a heft that is worth a better story. Maybe it will play better in the future. 18-Feb-2019
Dead Night (2018)
It bares its fangs early eliciting high wriggling expectations until bunk takes a seat and shits all over it. 18-Feb-2019
Monster, The (2016)
Mother/daughter toxic relationship sorts itself through bloody conflict. Ella Ballentine shoulders emotional terror as daughter Lizzy and Zoe Kazan is the hopeless and consumed mother who wakes to nurture her survival. The monster is unexplained and unnecessary but is a requirement to drive the message. 13-Feb-2019
Devoid of purpose, study and reverence. The psychology of Laurie Strode was as an empowered victim that elicited strength from catastrophic violence. She's not Sarah Connor and she wouldn't burden a child with her horrid mythology. The holiday wasn't nostalgic and the nods to Hitchcock (who's that?) were extinct. Hallmark movies concoct bigger frights. 08-Feb-2019
Scarehouse, The (2014)
Ugly pointless lesbian female torture. Not my thing. 05-Feb-2019
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
The actors couldn't locate the essence in character.
Howard is adept at expounding on a thought previously introduced. The magic materializes when he confronts his thoughts. It's a tough exercise with his stamp gently placed upon it. He needed to make it tremble.
(Chewy made sense.) 03-Feb-2019
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
Moore's evil is low battery, Berry's dweeb is unfortunate, the political leanings are red and the action rouses preposterous invention. Even though daddies squished aplenty, to my enjoyment was added guilt. 24-Jan-2019
A depiction of modern slavery is a tough subject not to exploit. Deon Taylor identifies the subject but can't tackle it hard enough for us to feel it. 03-Jan-2019
