The N-B-Gay

It is mathematically possible that there are no LGBT players in the league. Although recent estimates are higher, let’s say that 5% of the population identifies as LGBT. That means that the odds that all NBA players are straight is 95% to the power of 450 - the chance that Player 1 is straight multiplied by the chance the Player 2 is straight and so on. That leaves a whopping nine billionths of a percent chance that every player in the NBA is straight: .000000009%, for our decimally inclined folks. In sum, there are probably at least a handful of current LGBT players.

Gay Marine got his leg amputated

“My friend had seen what I went through in service. That’s how we became friends. Now you’re going to tell me you have other individuals who are in service that did not know this individual, and you’re speaking ill-will of him, and he’s no longer here to defend himself? It just kept adding up.”

Two years later, Heath lost his partner.

Catholic schools can’t fire teachers for being gay

Last Friday, U.S. District Judge Max Cogburn ruled that the Charlotte Catholic High School and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Charlotte, North Carolina wrongfully fired gay substitute drama and English teacher Lonnie Billard in 2014.

Cogburn ruled that the school violated federal protections against sex discrimination under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. The judge wrote that the school’s actions weren’t protected by constitutional rights to religious freedom. He also ruled that “the school’s action didn’t fit into exemptions to labor law that give religious institutions leeway to require certain employees to adhere to religious teachings,” the EDGE Media Network reported.

It Sure Seems Like the Trans Movement Isn't Winning

There is, however, something positive to note in all this. If they are this upset over these comments, then they clearly aren’t winning the culture war after all.

You don’t lose your mind and call a successful woman a “TERF” (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist) over those comments if you’re winning the social war. You don’t pull your hair out over jokes like Dave Chapelle’s if you are. You don’t go on a years-long crusade against J.K. Rowling, arguably the most successful female writer of all time, if you’re winning.

LGBTQ newspaper publisher proclaims “no one gives a hoot” about “woke” gender identity

“There is no place in school where this should be,” Montemer wrote in a comment from his Facebook page, “… In the real world, no one gives a hoot about your gender identity. Woke kids equal soft kids which equal soft adults.”

Montemer further said that it’s not “a teacher’s place to let kids in middle school decide anything without [their] parents” and that he “hopes this changes in the right direction before my kids get there.”

'I think you're gay' Leonardo DiCaprio asked if he was homosexual by Miriam Margolyes

“Leonardo has grown into an extremely fine actor but back then he was just a handsome boy who didn't always wash; he was quite smelly in that very male way some young men are.

“Sometimes he wore a dress. ’Leonardo, I think you're gay,' I said.

Pro baseball player Bryan Ruby comes out as gay

“I used to hate myself,” he said. “Hate how I felt. I’d ask why am I feeling this way?”

Ruby came out to his mother Lauren Ruby when he was 21. She said that she was “shocked” and that he “did a really good job of hiding it.”

“The male sports world can be very homophobic with degrading banter,” she said. “I wanted to protect him from all of that.”

Ruby said his father, Jon Ruby, took it better and helped his mother come to terms with having a gay son.

Actor Jannik Schümann is tired of the ‘coming out’ narrative

“I don’t like coming out as a word,” Schümann tells PinkNews. “I think ‘coming out’ is a very traditional, old-style word, and in the society I’m living I want ‘coming out’ to be a term that doesn’t exist anymore. I had my ‘coming out’ if you want to see it like that 10 years ago with my parents, my family and my friends, but this was different. I just wanted to show the world who I love and who is the one on my side, and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a boy or a girl.”

Young people who've come out as asexual reveal what it's REALLY like to have zero attraction to others - and say they're tired of being told 'you just haven't met the right person yet'

Young peope who define themselves as asexual have been sharing the often negative reactions they experience if they're open about their lack of sexual desire - including being told they simply haven't 'met the right person'.

One of the most prominent voices for the asexual community in the UK is 24-year-old Yasmin Benoit, a model and activist who wants to raise visibility of asexuality and aromanticism.

'They were, like: 'You don't look asexual, you're probably just insecure, or you must have got molested or you must be gay? Maybe you're a psychopath', said Yasmin.
