Transgender YouTuber charged with raping her mom, 79
A transgender YouTuber charged with raping her elderly dementia-stricken mom bragged, 'I'm famous on the internet,' and snapped at a judge for using the wrong pronoun as she was denied bail at a bond hearing on Thursday.
Christine Chandler, 39, known as Chris Chan on YouTube, also stomped her feet and demanded to be taken home during a hearing at the Green County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Virginia.
Chandler had interrupted the court proceedings to correct the Judge David Barredo after Barredo used the pronoun 'he' instead of 'she' to refer to Chandler.

We speak to the gay men who pretended to be girls online to flirt with boys
Growing up in the closet can be an isolating experience. So, in the early days of social media, it’s little surprise that some gay men resorted to unorthodox methods to explore their attraction to other boys.
Thomas* is one of them. As a closeted teenager, he used to “catfish” boys by pretending to be a girl online. “I was really desperate and lonely,” he says, telling me that early social media sites such as Bebo were where he started this behaviour. “I’d add them over MSN Messenger and flirt. It was a thrill at the time, I guess, though I’m really ashamed of it now.”
Thomas says he was mostly interested in talking, but the boys he catfished would usually turn the conversation sexual. “It wouldn’t take long for the horny straight boys to ask for nude photos,” he says. “But I initially just wanted an outlet to talk to cute boys because I couldn’t. While all my friends were getting off with each other and going out, I just wanted someone to talk to me in the same way.”
This Arkansas Judge Gave Men Lighter Sentences in Exchange for Sexual Favors and Nude Photos
Retired 70-year-old Arkansas Judge Joseph Boeckmann has pled guilty to 21 counts of judicial misconduct for giving lighter sentences to young men found guilty of minor crimes in exchange for nude pics and sexual favors. Boeckmann, who retired last year, faced federal charges for “wire fraud, bribery, violation of the federal travel act and witness tampering” involved in his sexual dealing, according to the Arkansas Times.
Boeckmann’s court (located 100 miles outside of the Arkansas capitol of Little Rock) mostly handled traffic tickets and misdemeanors. He would often offer the men “community service” rather than hundreds of dollars in fines and court fees.
Nine men testified to a Grand Jury that Boeckmann would ask defendants to meet with him privately after court and then provide his personal phone number to work out details of “community service.” The men would reportedly pick up “bottles and cans while Boeckmann took photographs.” Other times, Boeckmann would ask them to masturbate or let him paddle them.
Christian radio host: Don’t leave teenage boys alone together because it encourages gay sex
A Christian radio host has warned against leaving boys alone together in a “same-sex” environment like sleepovers or summer camp.
Linda Harvey, a Christian radio host and founder of anti-LGBT Christian group Mission America, made the claim on radio show From the Median.
The radio host took to the airwaves to warn about the dangers of putting children in a “same-sex environment”, cautioning parents about letting their kids attend sleepovers.
On her website, Harvey warns: “If you promote sexual behavior to impressionable kids, more teens – especially those with fewer moral bearings—will say, ‘Why not?’
“In same sex circles, homosexual hook-ups can become a daring adventure at camp-outs and sleepovers.
Gay men in domestic violence situations face barriers to wellness at every turn
For two years, Armando told no one that he was living with a partner who subjected him to physical, emotional and psychological abuse. In 2007, after a severe fight with his partner landed him in the hospital, he finally had enough.
There, he confessed to a police officer and a social worker that the man who abused him was not his cousin or his roommate — it was his partner, Miguel, who fled the state while Armando was in the hospital.
"Behind closed doors, this man would put his hands on me," Armando said. "He'd take a gun from a briefcase and use it on my head and hit me with it. It became very frightening."
After the initial talk in the hospital — and tearful calls to domestic violence specialists at 1-800 hotlines — it took three more years for him to seek in-person professional help and even longer to press charges.
Malaysian gay man receives 12-year jail term for murdering boyfriend
A Malaysian gay man was handed a 12-year jail term this morning, after pleading guilty to murdering his boyfriend of eight years.
Tan Chee Yeow, 40, admitted to stabbing his boyfriend, 48-year-old Tan Chin Siong, to death at a walkway near a train station in Singapore on 4 September 2015.
Both men met each other in Malaysia’s Johor Bahru 9 years ago, and the accused moved to Singapore that very same year upon the victim’s request.
However, the relationship unexpectedly deterioriated in 2012, when the accused wanted to be publicly recognised as the victim’s partner. The victim wanted to keep their relationship low-profile, especially from his immediate family.

Nick Cannon Doesn't Understand How to Explain Gay People to Kids
Cannon continues, breaking down how he might talk about sexuality with his own kids. “This is the world we live in so we can’t act like it doesn’t exist. I actually don’t care because if you look at the core of it, it’s called sexual preference. It’s what you prefer. It’s what those people prefer,” he says. Yikes. “So if I could tell my son, ‘That’s what they like. You don’t have to like what they like. That’s what they prefer. You like what you prefer.’ And it’s as simple as that for kids. When you can break it down so simple for children, they’re like, ‘Oh okay, well I don’t care. They got two dads. They got two moms. I got a mommy and a daddy.’” Ahhh, Mariah help him.
Remarried Catholics must avoid sex and live like 'brother and sister,' archbishop says
The head of the Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia is closing the door opened by Pope Francis to letting civilly remarried Catholics receive Communion, saying the faithful in his archdiocese can only do so if they abstain from sex and live "as brother and sister."
Archbishop Charles Chaput, who is known for strongly emphasizing strict adherence to Catholic doctrine, issued a new set of pastoral guidelines for clergy and other leaders in the archdiocese that went into effect July 1. The guidelines reflect a stance taken by Pope John Paul II.
"Undertaking to live as brother and sister is necessary for the divorced and civilly remarried to receive reconciliation in the Sacrament of Penance, which could then open the way to the Eucharist," the guidelines read.
Church teaching says that unless divorced and remarried Catholics received an annulment — a church decree that their first marriage was invalid — they are committing adultery and cannot receive the sacrament of Communion.
Orlando Massacre: ‘Ashamed’ Father Reportedly Refused to Claim Gay Son’s Body
Nearly 90 percent of the people killed in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history were of Hispanic descent.
The Puerto Rican community was hit especially hard: almost half of all Pulse casualties — 23 of them — were from the island.
But for one young latin man, the sad reality of homophobia reportedly made the circumstances surrounding his death even more appalling.
Local news blog The Orlando Latino reported that a father refused to claim his son’s body because the son was gay, and the father was ashamed. “The tale is part of the untold stories of the Latino victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre,” the blog wrote.
As heartbreaking as it sounds, the episode illustrates how the stigma of being gay is still very alive in the socially conservative island. Among Puerto Rican residents ages 35 and older, only 26 percent of the population favored the legalization of same-sex marriage, according to a 2014 Pew Research Center poll.
