A movie about a bounty hunter and the adorable little baby that are bound together by destiny. A Star Wars film without a mythological front. It is what it is and what it is is great fun. Daddy's dulcet tones lulled me into superhero dreams of Dorothy from Oz picking up all kinds of fascinating creatures and having marvelous adventures. Mando is his own worst enemy. He keeps pissing people off who want to kill him. Grogu was the little bastard that stole it with his comical antics and his winning heart. It was a theater experience at home that I adoringly enjoyed. 05-Sep-2026

A blockbuster that should have been. I hopped onto the camera as soon it started to move. "Kill Bill" is hired to assassinate a monster that may or may not exist underneath baby Wednesday's bed. Sigourney Weaver was intelligent, funny and enervating. It was a "bitch" howdy welcome. Aurora strapped the story onto her shoulders and it didn't weigh her down. She was chin to chest with Mads. The supporting players got their own space, story and admiration. The synopsis readied me to understand but didn't prepare me for the motion. Fuller is a bunch of masters imbued in one. I was so involved that I had to cancel my lunch date for the next day because I was too tired from staying up watching it. I was that involved. 18-Apr-2026

Creature with a grand imagination, magnificent capabilities and childlike inspired nobility is plucked out of isolation so he can partake of suburbia after his inventor dies. Depp's Edward is everything you don't expect. He is joyous and wondrous, living things he always envisioned but never realized and tempted by the evil that is a suburban housewife. Suburbia is welcoming, at first. Kathy Baker is splendiferous as a woman too hot to trot with. Michael Anthony Hall played himself marvelously. Dianne Wiest is a beautiful heart murmur. Alan Arkin schlepped. Vincent Price is a well deserved gay horror queen. Suburbia is where Karens are born, the religious take flight and nature goes to shit. Edward unites the community, becomes a hero but is deflated by a bully. A misconstrued wrongdoing leads to cancellation. He's no longer adorable but Frankenstein. There are plot holes. He eats which means he poops. How does he clean his butt? How does he pee? A hole in a water mattress makes the entire bed drain. Putting a teddy on it doesn't stop it from leaking. If Edward eats food is it necessary for his survival? Does the town receive free giant blocks of ice during the holidays? The inventor created a boy but had difficulty with hands? It doesn't matter. The music is magical, Wynona Ryder did the best by doing the least and Tim Burton is a master of creativity. He creates a place I want to live in, minus the people. Swiss family travel the high seas to claim new land and eco-trash it. Pirates attack their ship as they sleep, all the passengers jump to safety and nobody bothers to awaken them. Were they not liked? They were probably snooty. TG they left an animal farm, nails and enough ammo to kill an army. Shipwrecked. The Ewoks would have barked at the unrealism of the family tree palace but it's fun Disney magic. As they settle into tranquility the parents ponder the future of their three sons. The boys would inherit nothing without women to love lest they do the animals or worst, each other. A trans boy makes it onto the island and Cain and Abel are awakened to some sexual clarity. It's preposterously gorgeous, impossible, animalistic, adventurous, violent and joyous. 28-Feb-2021

I would give it a full moon except there is quite much celebration over a child murderer. Dorothy enacts two homicides and is branded a hero when any other vigilante would be hunted down.
