CNN Sues Trump Over Suspension of Jim Acosta’s WH Credentials
CNN is suing Donald Trump, chief of staff John Kelly, press secretary Sarah Sanders, deputy chief of staff for communications Bill Shine, Secret Service director Joseph Clancy, and the Secret Service officer who took Jim Acosta’s hard pass away in order to have Acosta’s credentials restored.
CNN reports: ‘The lawsuit is a response to the White House’s suspension of Acosta’s press pass, known as a Secret Service “hard pass,” last week. The suit alleges that Acosta and CNN’s First and Fifth Amendment rights are being violated by the ban. The suit is being filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday morning, a CNN spokeswoman confirmed…The six defendants are all named because of their roles in enforcing and announcing Acosta’s suspension.’
Andrew Gillum Shreds Donald Trump With Just 3 Little Words
The winner of Florida’s gubernatorial race is still up in the air, but even if he loses, Democratic candidate Andrew Gillum can take pride in at least one thing: he bested Donald Trump on Twitter.
And he only needed three words to do it.
On Monday, the president argued that the Florida election should be called in favor of Republicans Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott even though doing so would buck the state’s recount procedures.
However, he came out on top with his response to Trump’s conspiratorial tweet.
A student threatened to bomb his high school to ‘cleanse’ it of LGBT kids
A South Carolina teenager has been charged with making a bomb threat against his school and specifically naming LGBTQ students as a target.
Jonathan Logan-Guy Radford, 18, allegedly tweeted that he wanted to “cleanse” Byrnes High School in Duncan, South Carolina, of LGBTQ people.
“The ultimate cleansing of all anti straight and non Christians will happen to day at 8:10 at James F Byrnes High School,” said one of the tweets, which is no longer publicly available.
Hate Groups Are Using Online Games To Recruit Teens (Report)
Some extremist groups are using multiplayer games and in-game chat functions as a way to recruit new members, NPR reports.
It’s happening not only in-game, but via platforms like Discord and Reddit, as well. Some recruitment occurs during game livestreams on Twitch and YouTube, and even some harassment campaign planning occurs via these platforms.
Unicorn Riot published chat logs from Discord last year which revealed plans for the Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally from white supremacists, according to NPR.
So why are the groups taking to gaming spaces for new members? According to Joan Donovan of Data and Society, a research institute, white supremacists have a history of being innovative with using online spaces for recruitment. And, Donovan says that first-person shooter games are one space to find angry young men, according to NPR.

Student activists say it’s a case of gerrymandering to split the Black vote. They’re mobilizing to make sure their voices are heard.
TRUMP LAWYER RUDY GIULIANI TAKES MYSTERY TRIPS TO RUSSIA, ARMENIA AND UKRAINE: REPORT
Giuliani had defended his business relationships, claiming that he had "friends all over the world."
"This is not a new thing for me," he told the Times. "When you become the mayor, you become interested in foreign policy. When I left, my major work was legal and security around the world."
During his trip to Armenia, Giuliani tweeted messages of support for Trump, claiming that "people here in Armenia think President Trump has once again restored America's leadership position."
"Many ARMENIANS want me to tell Americans that they love President Trump's dedication to making America Great Again," Giuliani said. "This will lead the world to peace and respect for human achievement and freedom."
The religious right is already waging war on LGBTQ legislation in the next Congress
All the signs point to a blue wave on Tuesday that will return the House of Representatives to Democratic control. (On the other hand, the Senate is a long shot, at best.)
Politicians from both sides of the aisle have all but conceded that Republicans have virtually no chance of holding onto their majority. That includes religious right leaders, who are now laying out their strategy to stop Democrats from passing any legislation that would help LGBTQ people.
In particular, they have declared war on the Equality Act, a measure that would add gender identity and sexual orientation to existing civil rights protections.

A Washington state politician has suggested in a manifesto that those who support abortion and same-sex marriage should be killed.
The shocking suggestion was included in a document by a member of the Washington House of Representatives, Matt Shea.
The Republican politician, in fact, admitted that he wrote and distributed a four-page document called the Biblical Basis for War. The document also includes 14 sections on how biblical war would unfold.

Symone D. Sanders On "Why We Must Vote!"
On August 22, 1964, Fannie Lou Hamer went before the Democratic National Committee to insist that the Mississippi Freedom Party, an organization she started to help African-Americans register to vote, be seated to integrate the all-White Mississippi delegation to the Democratic National Convention.
Then President Lyndon B. Johnson tried to silence Hamer. His aides and allies pressured her not to speak, and in a final effort to keep her from being heard, President Johnson called an impromptu press conference so her words would not be televised.
Fortunately, his plan to distract reporters backfired: Hamer’s 13-minute testimony detailing the inequities visited upon Black people who just wanted to vote in the land they called home was aired later that evening on prime time.
Hamer was a political force who would not be ignored. A local leader who thought globally, she knew she could not afford to sit back and let the injustices of her time go unchallenged and unchecked.
Don't vote for our 'homophobic' and 'racist' dad, Missouri candidate's kids tell voters
While most political candidates can count on the unwavering support of their family members, two of the three children of Missouri Republican Steve West have a message for voters in the state’s 15th House District: Don’t vote for our dad.
“I can’t imagine him being in any level of government,” Steve West’s daughter Emily told The Kansas City Star. “He’s made multiple comments that are racist and homophobic and how he doesn’t like the Jews.”
Steve West’s son, Andy, contacted the paper on Tuesday with a similar message about his “fanatic” father.
INCOMING POLICE LEADER ADVOCATES VIOLENCE AGAINST LEFT-WING PROTESTERS: 'IT'S TIME WE FORGET ABOUT RESTRAINT'
A veteran police leader who was set to become executive director of the Massachusetts Police Association has been suspended after penning columns that endorsed violence against protesters, compared asylum-seeking migrants to the Japanese during Pearl Harbor, criticized criminal justice reform and ridiculed progressive policing.
Arlington police lieutenant Rick Pedrini has been placed on paid administrative leave after writing three articles containing controversial statements for "The Sentinel," the official publication of the MPA, MassLive reported. He was suspended from his duties at the MPA and the pieces were retracted.
The facts about Republicans’ hysteria over brown people
President Donald Trump tweeted a new ad that is almost too racist to believe on Wednesday.
The ad from Trump’s campaign, which accuses Democrats of allowing Mexicans and Central Americans to murder Americans, is the latest escalation in Republicans’ very obvious attempts to stoke fear about brown people and distract from unpopular conservative policies. The president’s party is widely expected to lose control of one chamber of Congress in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
While smearing immigrants is a time-honored tradition for many on the right, the president’s efforts to make a major campaign issue out of a migrant caravan traveling north from Central America (and currently 1,000 miles away from the U.S. border) has been echoed by prominent Republicans, Fox News, and numerous other propagandists in conservative media.
But don’t just take our word for it. Let’s dig into the data to show why Republicans’ recent cherry-picking has no basis in reality.
