Pete Davidson criticised for jokes about gay men in new stand-up trailer
Pete Davidson has been criticised for making “outdated” jokes about gay men in the trailer for his Netflix special.
“I like my gay friends because I don’t think there’s like a more honest relationship between a gay dude and a straight dude,” he begins. “Because there’s just like nothing to gain, you know, so it’s just pure honesty.”
Pete continued to say that “there’s always one gay friend that I don’t think is fucking gay at all” and that everyone knows a “gay dude that’ll run up on your girlfriend and squeeze her boobs, and slap her ass and be like, ‘Damn girl, you look great!'”
“I don’t find that fucking funny at all, I’m sorry,” he continued. “I’m all for the gayness, you know. It doesn’t mean I’m against gayness. It’s just like you get to slap ass on a technicality? That’s not fucking fair at all.”
Pete said he wouldn’t “walk up to his boyfriend and tug his dick” just because he could.

Ricky Gervais unloads on Hollywood liberals ahead of Academy Awards, highlights their hypocrisy
Responding to a fan who asked Gervais what his best joke would be if he were hosting Sunday's Academy Awards, Gervais said he would highlight the hypocrisy embedded in calls from Hollywood celebrities for equality.
"'I can't wait to hear all your inspirational speeches about equality, and it's great that the 3 hours you're here tonight is the only time your badly paid migrant house staff will get some time off to sleep this week,'" Gervais responded.

Spider-Man star Zach Barack says superhero movies are “inherently trans”
Zach Barack has a unique perspective on the superhero genre.
The 23-year-old actor plays Peter Parker’s high school friend in blockbuster sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home, making him the first openly trans person to star in a Marvel movie, alongside Tyler Luke Cunningham as a featured extra.
Speaking to Variety at the Los Angeles premiere of the new Spider-Man movie, Zach opened up about how “meaningful” the role is for him, and argued that there’s something “very inherently trans” about superhero movies.
“I’m not by any means an expert on comics, but I read them growing up, you know, and they were important,” he said.
“And there’s something very inherently trans about those stories, especially ones where identity and hidden identity is part of them.
Gay comedian thinks there’s a difference between being gay and being homosexual
The comedian and actor faced criticisms of internalised homophobia.
The French comedian and actor Pierre Palmade, who identifies as gay, has attracted criticism after saying that he believes there is a difference between people who are gay and people who are homosexual.
Appearing on the French talk show On N’est Pas Couché, he explained how gay men are more outward in their mannerisms, while homosexuals are essentially ‘straight-acting’ men.
“This is my little theory. There are gays and homosexuals, it’s two different groups,” he explained.
“Gays are those who eat gay, who laugh gay, who live gay, who talk gay, who make gay movies. Homosexuals are gay but they don’t wear it on their sleeves, you can’t tell when they talk, you can’t tell when they live, you only find out when they go to bed.”

Comedian Kathy Griffin lashed out at Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren after she told former first lady Michelle Obama to "sit down" when she called her husband a great president.
Griffin shot back at Lahren for the comments, telling the commentator to “go f--- yourself.”
“‘Sit down, Michelle’ Tomi Lahren says,” Griffin began in a tweet earlier this week. “Oh really you dime store Barbie?”
“Mrs. Obama may go high, but I certainly won’t,” the comedian continued, noting one of the former first lady's well-known phrases. “Go f--- yourself, Tomi. You evil, horrible shell of a human being.”
Leslie Jones Calls Out Kevin Hart and Katt Williams: 'Both of Them N***as Need to Keep My Name Out They Mouth'
Kevin Hart decided to drag Leslie Jones into his drama with Katt Williams, and she’s not having it. In a statement to Bossip, Jones decided to put both comedians in their place for not doing their part to help women in the industry.
Read what she said below:

Batman’s penis is in a comic book for the first time ever — but not for long
Like the hero it’s attached to, Batman’s penis has traditionally worked undercover. But that changed this week as DC Comics exposed Batman’s Batmember to the world for the first time ever — and then hastily decided to take it away.
Moonves’ Ouster Leaves Julie Chen in Awkward Spot as Host of Two CBS Shows
Julie Chen remains an integral part of two CBS Corp. TV programs, even as her husband, former chairman-CEO Leslie Moonves, has left the company under a cloud. That awkward situation has given rise to speculation about whether she can continue her work.
Viewers of “The Talk,” one of two CBS series on which Chen serves as a host, have not heard directly from her this week in the wake of Moonves’ forced resignation on Sunday. Moonves was ousted just hours after the CBS Corp. board of directors announced Moonves would be leaving the company amid multiple accusations of sexual misconduct leveled at him. He has denied many of the allegations.
“I am taking a few days off from ‘The Talk’ to be with my family. I will be back soon and will see you Thursday night on ‘Big Brother,’” Chen said in a statement issued just before Monday’s edition of “The Talk” aired. Her other co-hosts on the program, including Sharon Osbourne and Sara Gilbert, have discussed the fallout from Moonves’ departure on both episodes broadcast this week.

Kathy Griffin Explains Why Men Want Louis C.K. Back in Business
The news that Louis C.K. is attempting to “return” to comedy less than a year after admitting to masturbating in front of nonconsenting peers enraged people all over the internet. Among those most upset by the news (no surprises here) are the women in comedy who have and will have to continue to put up with a toxic industry that is once again reinforcing how little it cares about them.
Kathy Griffin is one of the latest, but probably the most thorough, to lay out all the ways and reasons the industry fails to make comedy a safe space for women. “You’ll never hear a successful male comic say that dealing with women in the business is just exhausting and that they have reached their limit. Or that they’re tired of years of having to beg to be treated the same as women or that they’ve had enough of the emotional abuse,” she wrote in a 26-tweet thread. “[W]hat I’m discussing in this thread can be applied to any industry.”
