I’m a gay male who has fallen in love with my best friend, who is straight. After months of feeling dishonest in our friendship, I told him how I felt. At first he seemed OK with it. He told me he couldn’t reciprocate those feelings, but he still loved me as his friend and asked me not to make it “weird.”
A month later, he said if I can’t find a way to fall out of love with him, we could no longer be friends. I didn’t change anything about my relationship with him. I maintained the status quo, and he seemed good with it. I don’t know what to do.
I am extremely sad because I don’t want to lose my best friend. We had a great relationship, which is why I thought he would appreciate my honesty and we could work through the issue. What’s your advice? — TURNED DOWN IN TENNESSEE
She faces 10 years as registered sex offender if convicted.
A Minnesota 14-year-old facing a felony charge for sending an explicit selfie to a classmate via Snapchat is pushing back against those looking to punish her for sexting.
“I’m not a criminal for taking a selfie. Sexting is common among teens at my school, and we shouldn't face charges for doing it,” the teen said in a statement. “I don’t want anyone else to go through what I’m going through.”
Authorities became aware of the explicit photo after the boy she sent it to started showing it around to his classmates.

A Health Teacher Was Suspended For Daring To Teach Kids About Gender Identity
According to a study published in the Journal of Homosexuality, the majority of transgender teens and young adults surveyed began "feeling they were transgender at puberty." Of course, this may happen later for other individuals and earlier for others. As reported by Reuters last year, some doctors and parents found that children knew their true gender identity by age three.
Transgender children and teens are also bullied at higher rates than their cisgender peers, so it's both logical and responsible for schools to educate their students about gender identity. But a health teacher at Cambridge Central School in Cambridge, NY has been suspended after seventh-graders received a handout that provided educational information about transgender issues, The Post Star reports.
John Barrowman's 'transgender TARDIS' comment was neither sexist nor transphobic
Some have said that to show support for a woman by wearing a dress is conforming precisely to those stereotypes that reduce women to their clothes, that for Barrowman to make this choice is actually a mockery of womanhood and ridiculing the femininity used as an excuse to restrict women.
“I totally blinged myself out!” Barrowman said of his costume. “I am the transgender Tardis!”

Lovers of the male physique are quick to respond to what they perceive as 'fragile masculinity'
As dedicated sports fans, we love the annual ESPN Body Issue.
This year’s issue has just hit newsstands, and it features a stunning collection of images of bodies in peak physical condition.
Included in the issue is out Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, Chicago Cubs’s Javier Baez, tennis player Caroline Wozniacki ,NFL player Ezekiel Elliott, Julian Edelman (New England Patriots), San Jose Sharks teammates Brent Burns and Joe Thornton, and adaptive snowboarder/mountaineer and retired Marine Corps sergeant Kirstie Ennis.
Olympic track and field medalist Novlene Williams-Mills of Jamaica is the first breast cancer survivor to appear in the issue.
ESPN has been promoting its different covers across its social media channels, and the images and promo video of Ezekiel Elliott have proven a little more than some straight, male fans can handle.

Because having the right to everything else isn't enough.
Christians are demanding Facebook add a cross alongside the temporary Pride emoji.
Though some people have been particularly happy about Facebook introducing a rainbow flag emoji in celebration of Pride month, others don’t.
But for some Christians, they felt left out because they didn’t have an emoji of their own.
Former television and radio evangelist Joshua Feuerstein shared a photo demanding there be a cross reaction emoji for those against the LGBTI community.
