Legalise sex toys and pornography to cut rape, says Thai MP
A Thai MP has proposed legalising sex toys and pornography as a way to cut rape offences and other sexual assaults.
Treerat Sirichantaropas, a spokesman for a committee tasked with combating rape, said in a Facebook post on Monday he believed legalising pornography and sex toys would help to cut the number of sexual assault cases reported in the country.
Treerat, who is also secretary of the Pheu Thai Plus think tank, said about 30,000 rape cases were reported every year, the majority of them filed by victims aged between 15 and 19 years.

American women are more prejudiced than men against lesbians
A landmark study has revealed some startling information about people’s perceptions of homosexuality.
The team of researchers tested people from 23 countries on their attitudes about gays and lesbians. In America, men and women “did not significantly differ in their attitudes toward gay men,” but women were significantly more likely to be prejudiced against lesbians.
ABC told ‘Batman’ actor Burt Ward to take pills to shrink penis
For baby boomers and classic TV fans, the name Burt Ward is instantly recognizable as the loyal and extremely excitable Robin on the campy “Batman” series which ran on ABC from 1966-1968. Just this week he happily unveiled a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame which he called an “amazing experience.”
The Caped Crusaders costumes were bright and tight-fitting to say the least, so snug that Ward incurred the wrath of the Catholic League of Decency.
Charlamagne tha God Gifts DJ Envy a Mold of His Butt
It can be difficult sometimes figuring out what to give someone for the holidays, but the best approach is to try and pick up on clues that tell you what that person wants. Charlamagne tha God claims to have done just that when he presented his The Breakfast Club co-host DJ Envy with a gift on his first day back to the show from vacation.
"It's no secret that Envy flirts with me constantly on this radio [show]," Charlamagne said as Envy denied his claim. "He constantly flirts with me. I tried to get to this to him before the holidays 'cause I know he missed me over the past few weeks."
Second LGBT student joins suit against Fuller Theological Seminary after getting expelled for entering into same-sex marriages
Last November, a student at Fuller Theological Seminary — the nation's largest interdenominational seminary — sued the school for discrimination after she was expelled for marrying another woman. Now, another former student is joining the lawsuit.
In the amended complaint filed Tuesday, Nathan Brittsan, an American Baptist Churches USA pastor, joined Joanna Maxon in requesting the school award them more than $1 million each to compensate for damages, Christianity Today reported.
Paul Southwick, the attorney representing Maxon and Brittsan, is arguing that Fuller is required to comply with Title IX, which bars federally funded educational programs from discriminating based on sex. However, religiously affiliated schools are often granted exceptions from Title IX regulations in order to accommodate for religious freedom.
"It's a very important case at this time in our nation's history," Southwick said, according to Christianity Today. "This case could set an important legal precedent that if an educational institution receives federal funding, even if it's religiously-affiliated, even if it's a seminary, that it's required to comply with Title IX prohibitions on sex discrimination as applied to LGBT individuals."

The Epidemic of Gay Loneliness
For years I’ve noticed the divergence between my straight friends and my gay friends. While one half of my social circle has disappeared into relationships, kids and suburbs, the other has struggled through isolation and anxiety, hard drugs and risky sex.
None of this fits the narrative I have been told, the one I have told myself. Like me, Jeremy did not grow up bullied by his peers or rejected by his family. He can’t remember ever being called a faggot. He was raised in a West Coast suburb by a lesbian mom. “She came out to me when I was 12,” he says. “And told me two sentences later that she knew I was gay. I barely knew at that point.”
This is a picture of me and my family when I was 9. My parents still claim that they had no idea I was gay. They’re sweet.
Jeremy and I are 34. In our lifetime, the gay community has made more progress on legal and social acceptance than any other demographic group in history. As recently as my own adolescence, gay marriage was a distant aspiration, something newspapers still put in scare quotes. Now, it’s been enshrined in law by the Supreme Court. Public support for gay marriage has climbed from 27 percent in 1996 to 61 percent in 2016. In pop culture, we’ve gone from “Cruising” to “Queer Eye” to “Moonlight.” Gay characters these days are so commonplace they’re even allowed to have flaws.
Gay Loneliness Is Real—but “Bitchy, Toxic” Culture Isn’t the Full Story
Ellen and Science Confirm: Rich People Only Care About Themselves
Surprised that Ellen DeGeneres was seen yukking it up with George W. Bush at a football game last weekend? Don’t be! Rich people love hanging out with other rich people. So, since Ellen’s a multimillionaire, the 43rd President of the United States is a multimillionaire, and Charlotte Jones Anderson—the Dallas Cowboys’ Executive Vice President who invited both of them to Sunday’s game—is a multimillionaire, it actually all makes perfect sense that they’d all want to socialize together.
Still, it is confusing to think about how DeGeneres, one of the nation’s foremost openly gay celebrities would, could look past Bush’s years of using the bully pulpit to advocate against LGBTQ rights—not to mention, uhhhh, the unnecessary wars he started in Iraq and Afghanistan, which have killed millions of people and traumatized countless others.
Ellen tried to explain away the cognitive dissonance of all this on her talk show Monday morning, saying that “just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them.” But disagreeing about the Bush administration’s ongoing legacy of global violence against Muslim people seems like more than just a difference of opinion.
Does Ellen not understand why people are disgusted by that video of her and W. palling around at the football game? Does she just not care?
(Paul continues on with the observation that "the love of money is the root of all evil." 1 Timothy 6:10 Miller emphasizes that "it is the love of money that is the obstacle to faith, not the money itself." Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!")
Are the rich more selfish than the rest of us?

Gay men more likely to cheat than straight men, say psychologists
"In the gay life, fidelity is almost impossible. Since part of the compulsion of homosexuality seems to be a need on the part of the homophile to “absorb” masculinity from his sexual partners, he must be constantly on the lookout for [new partners]. Constantly the most successful homophile “marriages” are those where there is an agreement between the two to have affairs on the side while maintaining the semblance of permanence in their living arrangement. [p. 208]"
Gay life is most typical and works best when sexual contacts are impersonal and even anonymous. As a group the homosexuals I have known seem far more preoccupied with sex than heterosexuals are, and far more likely to think of a good sex life as many partners under many exciting circumstances. [p.209]"
MILEY CYRUS WON’T HAVE CHILDREN BECAUSE ‘THE EARTH IS ANGRY’
The "Mother’s Daughter" singer said the planet has been depleted and that she will not have children “until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water”.
“We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce,” the 26-year-old said. “We’re getting handed a piece-of-shit planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child.
The secret gay history of Islam
Islam once considered homosexuality to be one of the most normal things in the world.
The Ottoman Empire, the seat of power in the Muslim world, didn’t view lesbian or gay sex as taboo for centuries. They formally ruled gay sex wasn’t a crime in 1858.
But as Christians came over from the west to colonize, they infected Islam with homophobia.
The truth is many Muslims alive today believe the prophet Muhammad supported and protected sexual and gender minorities.
But go back to the beginning, and you’ll see there is far more homosexuality in Islam than you might have ever thought before.
Ancient Muslim borrowed culture from the boy-loving Ancient Greeks:
The Islamic empires, (Ottoman, Safavid/Qajar, Mughals), shared a common culture. And it shared a lot of similarities with the Ancient Greeks.
Persianate cultures, all of them Muslim, dominated modern day India and Arab world. And it was very common for older men to have sex with younger, beardless men. These younger men were called ‘amrad’.

LGBTI refugees stoned and beaten after unlawful eviction
A landlord evicted a group of 76 LGBTI refugees in Kenya with no notice. Locals beat and stoned one man who tried to leave.

A local Kangemi chief even joined in on the eviction calling the group cursed and said ‘LGBT are not wanted here’. The chief accused them of spreading disease and called the police on them.
One refugee who wanted to remain anonymous said the landlord gave them three hours notice to leave. But as they tried to leave, locals had gathered around outside threatening to beat and kill them.

'I Effectively Have Become an Instrument of State Abuse of Power': Abortion in Missouri Now
In Missouri, where the state’s last remaining abortion clinic is in a legal battle to keep its doors open, Republicans have imposed another invasive and unnecessary requirement for anyone obtaining an abortion: now, patients must undergo a pelvic exam at least 72 hours prior to the procedure.
A pelvic exam “includes putting your fingers and other instruments in the vagina, when really that gives no medical information,” Dr. Colleen McNicholas of the St. Louis Planned Parenthood Reproductive Health Services, Missouri’s last abortion clinic, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. “It doesn’t do anything to help the patient, or myself, choose what is the best approach for their abortion care.”

Family Says Dog Died Saving Them From Teen Gunman
A Houston, Texas family claims that, just over a week ago, their dog saved their lives after a gunman busted into their home while food was being prepped for their 13-year-old's birthday party. He allegedly opened fire after a confrontation took place where he was asked to leave. There were reportedly more than a dozen kids in attendance at the time.
Laura Martinez says the event happened on March 9 at her home, when a teen boy that the family was familiar with entered the home with a gun. The armed teen fired eight shots, three of which struck Martinez and members of her family. According to a GoFundMe, one bullet hit Martinez in her leg, another hit her son, Taylor Hollier, in his foot, and two struck her stepdaughter, Valerie Pace, with one going into her thigh and the other hitting next to her spine.
R. Kelly’s ex insinuates he might be “into boys” because he enjoys playing receiver in the bedroom
R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Lisa Van Allen recently sat down with DJ Vlad to talk about her experiences with the mired R&B singer and things quickly took a homophobic turn.
In the interview, Van Allen talks openly about her sexual experiences with Kelly, explaining in graphic detail what happened during their bedroom romps, and using them to raise questions about his sexual orientation.
“He likes dildos,” she recalls. “I know he likes fingers in the butt with him on all fours. You going in and he’s throwing it back at you.”
“I know that’s a little graphic, but that’s what he does.”
