Ellen and Science Confirm: Rich People Only Care About Themselves
Surprised that Ellen DeGeneres was seen yukking it up with George W. Bush at a football game last weekend? Don’t be! Rich people love hanging out with other rich people. So, since Ellen’s a multimillionaire, the 43rd President of the United States is a multimillionaire, and Charlotte Jones Anderson—the Dallas Cowboys’ Executive Vice President who invited both of them to Sunday’s game—is a multimillionaire, it actually all makes perfect sense that they’d all want to socialize together.
Still, it is confusing to think about how DeGeneres, one of the nation’s foremost openly gay celebrities would, could look past Bush’s years of using the bully pulpit to advocate against LGBTQ rights—not to mention, uhhhh, the unnecessary wars he started in Iraq and Afghanistan, which have killed millions of people and traumatized countless others.
Ellen tried to explain away the cognitive dissonance of all this on her talk show Monday morning, saying that “just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be friends with them.” But disagreeing about the Bush administration’s ongoing legacy of global violence against Muslim people seems like more than just a difference of opinion.
Does Ellen not understand why people are disgusted by that video of her and W. palling around at the football game? Does she just not care?
(Paul continues on with the observation that "the love of money is the root of all evil." 1 Timothy 6:10 Miller emphasizes that "it is the love of money that is the obstacle to faith, not the money itself." Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!")
Are the rich more selfish than the rest of us?

Gay men more likely to cheat than straight men, say psychologists
"In the gay life, fidelity is almost impossible. Since part of the compulsion of homosexuality seems to be a need on the part of the homophile to “absorb” masculinity from his sexual partners, he must be constantly on the lookout for [new partners]. Constantly the most successful homophile “marriages” are those where there is an agreement between the two to have affairs on the side while maintaining the semblance of permanence in their living arrangement. [p. 208]"
Gay life is most typical and works best when sexual contacts are impersonal and even anonymous. As a group the homosexuals I have known seem far more preoccupied with sex than heterosexuals are, and far more likely to think of a good sex life as many partners under many exciting circumstances. [p.209]"
MILEY CYRUS WON’T HAVE CHILDREN BECAUSE ‘THE EARTH IS ANGRY’
The "Mother’s Daughter" singer said the planet has been depleted and that she will not have children “until I feel like my kid would live on an earth with fish in the water”.
“We’ve been doing the same thing to the earth that we do to women. We just take and take and expect it to keep producing. And it’s exhausted. It can’t produce,” the 26-year-old said. “We’re getting handed a piece-of-shit planet, and I refuse to hand that down to my child.
The secret gay history of Islam
Islam once considered homosexuality to be one of the most normal things in the world.
The Ottoman Empire, the seat of power in the Muslim world, didn’t view lesbian or gay sex as taboo for centuries. They formally ruled gay sex wasn’t a crime in 1858.
But as Christians came over from the west to colonize, they infected Islam with homophobia.
The truth is many Muslims alive today believe the prophet Muhammad supported and protected sexual and gender minorities.
But go back to the beginning, and you’ll see there is far more homosexuality in Islam than you might have ever thought before.
Ancient Muslim borrowed culture from the boy-loving Ancient Greeks:
The Islamic empires, (Ottoman, Safavid/Qajar, Mughals), shared a common culture. And it shared a lot of similarities with the Ancient Greeks.
Persianate cultures, all of them Muslim, dominated modern day India and Arab world. And it was very common for older men to have sex with younger, beardless men. These younger men were called ‘amrad’.

'I Effectively Have Become an Instrument of State Abuse of Power': Abortion in Missouri Now
In Missouri, where the state’s last remaining abortion clinic is in a legal battle to keep its doors open, Republicans have imposed another invasive and unnecessary requirement for anyone obtaining an abortion: now, patients must undergo a pelvic exam at least 72 hours prior to the procedure.
A pelvic exam “includes putting your fingers and other instruments in the vagina, when really that gives no medical information,” Dr. Colleen McNicholas of the St. Louis Planned Parenthood Reproductive Health Services, Missouri’s last abortion clinic, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. “It doesn’t do anything to help the patient, or myself, choose what is the best approach for their abortion care.”

Family Says Dog Died Saving Them From Teen Gunman
A Houston, Texas family claims that, just over a week ago, their dog saved their lives after a gunman busted into their home while food was being prepped for their 13-year-old's birthday party. He allegedly opened fire after a confrontation took place where he was asked to leave. There were reportedly more than a dozen kids in attendance at the time.
Laura Martinez says the event happened on March 9 at her home, when a teen boy that the family was familiar with entered the home with a gun. The armed teen fired eight shots, three of which struck Martinez and members of her family. According to a GoFundMe, one bullet hit Martinez in her leg, another hit her son, Taylor Hollier, in his foot, and two struck her stepdaughter, Valerie Pace, with one going into her thigh and the other hitting next to her spine.
R. Kelly’s ex insinuates he might be “into boys” because he enjoys playing receiver in the bedroom
R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Lisa Van Allen recently sat down with DJ Vlad to talk about her experiences with the mired R&B singer and things quickly took a homophobic turn.
In the interview, Van Allen talks openly about her sexual experiences with Kelly, explaining in graphic detail what happened during their bedroom romps, and using them to raise questions about his sexual orientation.
“He likes dildos,” she recalls. “I know he likes fingers in the butt with him on all fours. You going in and he’s throwing it back at you.”
“I know that’s a little graphic, but that’s what he does.”

Having already logged seven miles earlier that morning, Keen was scheduled to meet up with a friend for a few more. But her friend was running late, so Keen set off to get a few more miles in to fill the time. Halfway through that session, the dog appeared.
High school seniors shovel neighbor's driveway at 4:30 a.m. so she could make it to her dialysis
When the weather forecast called for up to eight inches of snow in their New Jersey community, brothers Brian and Patrick Lanigan immediately thought of their neighbor Natalie Blair.
She depends on dialysis treatments -- and that meant the snowstorm could be a life or death situation.
Brian, who works as a local EMT, had shoveled the Blair family's driveway during a storm just a few days earlier, but he knew this time he would be on the job when the snowstorm struck.
It was up to his little brother Patrick to ensure their neighbor would be able to leave her house for the treatment she desperately needs.
The parking lot suicides
Veterans are taking their own lives on VA hospital campuses, a desperate form of protest against a system that they feel hasn’t helped them.
Alissa Harrington took an audible breath as she slid open a closet door deep in her home office. This is where she displays what’s too painful, too raw to keep out in the open.
Framed photos of her younger brother, Justin Miller, a 33-year-old Marine Corps trumpet player and Iraq veteran. Blood-spattered safety glasses recovered from the snow-covered Nissan Frontier truck where his body was found. A phone filled with the last text messages from his father: “We love you. We miss you. Come home.”
Miller was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and suicidal thoughts when he checked into the Minneapolis Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in February 2018. After spending four days in the mental-health unit, Miller walked to his truck in VA’s parking lot and shot himself in the very place he went to find help.
“The fact that my brother, Justin, never left the VA parking lot — it’s infuriating,” said Harrington, 37. “He did the right thing; he went in for help. I just can’t get my head around it.”

Adult video performer Calvin Banks recently told Himeros.tv that his first sexual experience was with his father. “I can now comfortably say my dad was my first blowjob,” Banks told the educational adult site.
“I gotta laugh about it,” Banks continued. “I have friends whose dads left when they were two years old. I joke with them, I say ‘Well, your dad didn’t love you enough, and my dad loved me too much.’”
