Catholic priest busted sexting an underage boy & offering to be his “sugar daddy”

The FBI has arrested Catholic priest Francis Hughes yesterday for allegedly sexting an underage boy.

“How would you like to be spoiled by your grandpa?” the 65-year-old pastor at the St. Pancras Roman Catholic Church in Queens, New York is accused of asking a 15-year-old boy in a text message.

He talked about masturbation with the teen and told him, “Its one of the great things about being a boy. You get to relieve your horniness whenever you want.”

“How would you like to be spoiled by your grandpa?” Hughes asked. The two discussed Hughes sending money to the victim and the pastor even asked how the victim would hide it from his parents.

Federal judge's son shot and killed, husband injured in attack at their NJ home

The son of a federal judge in Newark, New Jersey, has been shot and killed, and her husband shot and injured in an attack at the family's home, according to law enforcement sources.

The judge, Esther Salas, was not hurt.

Francis “Mac” Womack, the mayor of North Brunswick, New Jersey, tells ABC News that the judge’s son has died.

The condition of husband was not immediately known, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone told ABC News.

The judge’s son opened the door and was immediately shot, sources said.

“He was shot through the heart,” Womack said. The son was a freshman at Catholic University.

Statue of Black Lives Matter protester Jen Reid removed in UK

A statue of a Black Lives Matter protester in the UK was removed Thursday — just one day after it replaced a monument of 17th-century slave trader Edward Colston.

Video shows hardhats in Bristol carefully removing the statue of demonstrator Jen Reid with her fist in the air at around 5:20 a.m., the Guardian reported.

The black resin and steel piece — titled “A Surge of Power (Jen Reid) 2020” — was erected early Wednesday by London sculptor Marc Quinn.

It replaced a statue of Colston, which was torn down last month and tossed into the Avon River.

Bristol Mayor Marvin Rees said the city was going through an “incredibly delicate time.”

'We met a Karen': Black and Latino residents film woman accosting them for using their neighborhood pool who demands their address because she doesn't recognize them

An unknown woman has been filmed demanding that two black and Latino residents prove they live in the neighborhood by giving her their address.

The video, filmed in North Carolina earlier this week, shows a white woman questioning two people that she doesn't recognize, accusing them of trespassing into her neighborhood to use the pool - despite the fact they also live there.

In an apparent racial dispute the woman, dressed in yellow and holding her phone up as if about to make a call, shouts: 'I know everyone who lives here.'

Attorney General William Barr admits unfair policing of African Americans is a 'widespread phenomenon' but rejects calls to defund the police and says 'black lives are protected' by cops

Attorney General William Barr said on Wednesday that the unfair policing of African Americans is a 'widespread phenomenon' before rejecting calls to defund the police.

Protests over the recent police killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and other African Americans have ignited a national conversation about the role of law enforcement in society.

During an interview with ABC News' Pierre Thomas, Barr addressed policing in America, saying: 'I do think it is a widespread phenomenon that African American males, in particular, are treated with extra suspicion and maybe not given the benefit of the doubt.'

Texas Pastor Apologizes For Allowing Hugging At Church After Dozens Contract COVID-1

A Texas pastor has apologized for failing to keep people socially distanced at his evangelical church, after he and dozens of congregants reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

Calvary Chapel of San Antonio has held multiple indoor, in-person services since it reopened in early May, right after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) let the state’s stay-at-home order expire. As hospitalizations and positivity rates surged in Texas over the past few weeks, members of the church began testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

The church has at least 50 cases of the novel coronavirus, lead pastor Ron Arbaugh told ?NBC-affiliate WOAI-TV on Saturday. Most of the positive cases are staff members ? including Arbaugh, his wife, at least one other main pastor, and children’s ministry staff. The majority of impacted individuals have reported mild symptoms, the pastor said.

High-Risk Florida Teen Dies of Coronavirus After Going to 100-Person Church Party

The Fort Myers, Florida community mourned after a local teen died of complications from the new coronavirus, COVID-19, at the end of June. Carsyn Leigh Davis, 17, had already battled several illnesses in her short life, including cancer and an autoimmune disorder, but it was COVID-19 that led to her death on June 23.

But a newly-released report from the medical examiner, shows a different side of her death. According to the report, Davis contracted COVID-19 after attending a 100-person party at First Youth Church, where attendees were not required to social distance, and she did not wear a mask.

And after Davis developed COVID-19 symptoms, her parents treated her at home, waiting nearly a week before taking her to a hospital. Her mother, a nurse, and a man identified as her father in the report, a physician assistant, gave Davis azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine, the malaria drug touted by President Donald Trump as a COVID-19 treatment despite warnings from the Food and Drug Administration that it caused virus patients to die more rapidly.

Sucker Punch on Dancer
GETS MAN CHARGED WITH 2 FELONIES

The victim's mom, Stephanie Hagler, tells TMZ ... she hopes once Moore's arrested, nobody posts his bail. In a perfect world, Moore wouldn't get bail. That being said, she says, "I appreciate the police department for taking the case so seriously, and I know my son appreciates it too. I don't think I will feel any relief until he is arrested. As of now it's just words on paper there hasn't been any real consequence."

The man who shot the video, Micheal Curry, tells us Moore MUST be arrested because "anyone who's willing to hit a kid like that, there's no telling what they're going to do next."

The scumbag who sucker punched a 12-year-old boy dancing on a sidewalk has been charged with 2 felonies, but cops are still searching for him.

This is a moment of reckoning on race for White Christians

Growing up in the South, Robert P. Jones attended Southern Baptist churches, Sunday schools, even a Southern Baptist college.

But it was only in seminary, in his mid-20s, that Jones says he learned the full truth about Southern Baptists' white supremacist roots. The denomination was founded to defend slavery and did not formally rebuke its past until 1995, when Southern Baptists voted to apologize for their history of racism.

Jones was a social scientist before he realized how stubbornly racist ideas can persist in White churches.

"Rather, as the dominant cultural power in America, they have been responsible for constructing and sustaining a project to protect White supremacy and resist Black equality," he writes. "This project has framed the entire American story."

"White Christian churches have not just been complacent; they have not only been complicit," he writes in his book, "White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity," publishing next month.

CDC tracks cluster of coronavirus cases in rural Arkansas to church, raising alarm on religious gatherings

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracked a cluster of coronavirus cases in rural Arkansas back to a church pastor and his wife, indicating that faith-based organizations and events could be sources of Covid-19 transmission, according to a new study published Tuesday.

“This outbreak highlights the potential for widespread transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, both at group gatherings during church events and within the broader community,” the researchers wrote. “Faith-based organizations that are operating or planning to resume in-person operations, including regular services, funerals, or other events, should be aware of the potential for high rates of transmission of SARS-CoV-2.”

Catholic bishops are calling for the US federal government to crack down on porn, claiming it causes “pain” and “ongoing harm”.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a letter US attorney general William Barr on April 30, calling on the Trump administration to “confront the ongoing harms wrought by the pornography industry”, especially as use of porn sites has spiked during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the letter, the bishops wrote: “The current pandemic is exacting a heavy and widespread emotional, social, and financial toll in our communities.

“In the face of the pandemic, the Church expresses her solidarity with all who are struggling or alone.”

Former Pope: Same-Sex Marriage Comes From the Antichrist

The former Pope Benedict XVI has called same-sex marriage a product of the Antichrist and said society has become so hostile to Christian doctrine that it will shun anyone who opposes equal marriage rights.

The statement comes in a new authorized biography of Benedict by German journalist Peter Seewald. Titled Benedict XVI: The Biography: Volume One, it came out Monday in Germany, the former pope’s native country.
