Who's To Blame For The Current State Of The U.S.
“We’re more interested in a Beyoncé or a Taylor Swift concert or Reesa Teesa on TikTok than to be worrying about if women have rights, if Blacks are going to keep their rights, if women are going to be able to continue to vote,” she continued.

Anthony Mackie Explained Why He Has A Problem With People Shipping Sam And Bucky In "Falcon And The Winter Soldier"
Although viewers loved watching Sam and Bucky's relationship transform and friendship blossom throughout the film, Anthony says that's all there is to it.
He continued, "So many things are twisted and convoluted. There’s so many things that people latch on to with their own devices to make themselves relevant and rational."
"The idea of two guys being friends and loving each other in 2021 is a problem because of the exploitation of homosexuality. It used to be guys can be friends, we can hang out, and it was cool...you can’t do that anymore...

Millennials Aren’t That Into God, Patriotism, or Having Kids
Voting Republican has become an activity analogous to reminiscing about air-raid drills or complaining incessantly about back pain: ordinary for boomers, but a marker of eccentricity among the young.
In 2016, Donald Trump commanded the support of only 28 percent of voters under 30, according to Pew Research. His disapproval rating among Americans under 35 currently hovers around 70 percent. And millennials’ antipathy for our Republican president isn’t personal; the Fox News grandpa-in-chief might be especially unappealing to the rising generation, but the kids don’t have much use for the GOP’s kinder, gentler reactionaries, either. Less than 30 percent of millennials wanted Republicans to retain control of Congress last year. And in broader measures of generational opinion, both millennials and Gen-Zers evince higher levels of support for liberal ideological premises and policy proposals than any older cohorts.

My son can’t be gay, he’s obsessed with women
A couple of days ago, @CircleCityGay posted a tweet saying: “My son can’t be gay. He’s obsessed with women”. It then showed a photo of ‘The women’. It was an image of the leading ladies from the show Desperate Housewives, which ran on ABC from 2004 to 2012.

Tampa Bay Rays players refused to wear a Pride rainbow
Can you imagine the club that would allow a player to opt out of wearing a 42 on his jersey for Jackie Robinson Day? Or refuse to wear some camo for a Military Appreciation Day? Complete disaster.
Unfortunately, the Rays management approached this differently, allowing homophobia amongst a handful of 20-somethings to drive the uniforms that some of the players wore.

The N-B-Gay
It is mathematically possible that there are no LGBT players in the league. Although recent estimates are higher, let’s say that 5% of the population identifies as LGBT. That means that the odds that all NBA players are straight is 95% to the power of 450 - the chance that Player 1 is straight multiplied by the chance the Player 2 is straight and so on. That leaves a whopping nine billionths of a percent chance that every player in the NBA is straight: .000000009%, for our decimally inclined folks. In sum, there are probably at least a handful of current LGBT players.

‘Barbie’ Is Bad. There, I Said It.
Few dared rain on Barbie’s hot pink parade.
Those who openly hated it mostly did so for reasons having to do with what it “stood for.” They abhorred its (oddly anachronistic) third-wave feminist politics. They despised its commercialism and dreaded the prospect of future films about Mattel properties like Barney and American Girl dolls. They hated the idea of a movie about a sexualized pinup-shaped doll whose toy laptop or Working Woman (“I really talk!”) packaging couldn’t hide the stereotypes under the outfit.

Please don’t call me Latinx: Why it’s not my preferred term
Ever since I emigrated to the U.S. from El Salvador, I’ve used the term Hispanic to describe my heritage. But lately, I’ve been corrected on multiple occasions about the term I use to describe myself — told that I should use the more accepted term, Latinx.
Okay, so I understand where Latinx comes from — the desire for a gender-inclusive term for people of Latin American heritage, avoiding the gendered ending of Latino or Latina. But it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. And besides, why Latinx and not Latin American?
At the heart of this debate lies the issue of labeling, where an outside group (or a small percentage from an inside group) decides on a term, or label, and then dictates which people fit under the larger umbrella of this label. This happens all the time, and the shadow this umbrella casts is hardly constant: its edges waver, growing and shrinking as categories shift.
I have friends who have lived in this country for decades but still refer to themselves as Mexican. I have other friends who call themselves Hispanic, or Chicana/o or just American. Should I correct all of these friends and tell them their descriptors are dated, that they are now Latinx and need to start referring to themselves as Latinx?

Has the left 'cried gay' too soon?
To my friends on the left, their use of hyperbolic messaging against this bill – regardless of their motivation – is a failure of democracy. For instance, the word "gay" does not appear at all in the text of the bill and the phrase "sexual orientation" appears only twice. Also of important note, the bill applies only to the youngest groups of students – kindergarten through third grade. Couple these facts with the onslaught of misplaced activism displayed on media networks, activists, leaders and media elites failed the American people by creating a faux crisis.

Food Stamps Should "Only Work On Healthy Items"
EBT, also known as food stamps or SNAP, is a government-run program that gives individuals with low incomes a small budget every month to buy groceries. And the idea that the government should control what EBT recipients are allowed to buy is a talking point often made by conservatives who would like to see the program either reduced or cut entirely. (Trump, for example, has proposed getting rid of EBT and replacing it with preset boxes of food, in which the recipient has no choice in what they get.)
