Girl dramatically confronts her gay best friend for having sex with her boyfriend in the middle of a TikTok

In the TikTok by user allyvlogs1, a group of five university friends are playing the “Put a Finger Down Challenge”, which is similar to the game “Never Have I Ever“.

The questions start innocently enough, and members of the group say “put a finger down if you’ve ever been drunk”, “put a finger down if you’ve ever worn a crusty sock” and “put a finger down if you’ve ever been outside of Europe”.

But for the fourth question, one girl seizes the moment and says: “Put a finger down if one of your best friends slept with your boyfriend and the rest of your friends didn’t tell you about it for over six months.”

There is a moment of awkward silence...

WHY GAY MEN LOVE HOOKING UP WITH STRAIGHT DUDES

It’s not that Alex, a gay 26-year-old man from New York City, seeks out straight men to hook up with — they simply flock to him in droves. “As someone who is very effeminate and nonconforming, gay men don’t really look for me,” he says. But hetero guys? “I can’t even keep count of how many straight men I’ve fucked. The limit doesn’t exist!”

How “straight” these men are isn’t exactly clear, but according to what scant research exists on heterosexual men who have sex with queer guys, it’s not an emotional or physical attraction that draws them to us (or at least they won’t admit that it is). Rather, as Jane Ward, an associate professor of women’s studies at the University of California, Riverside lays out in her 2015 book Not Gay: Sex Between Straight White Men, straight men hook up with other guys to “reaffirm their masculinity” (and whiteness). Other research, like this 2018 study published in the journal Sexualities, finds that straight guys see queer men as “living dildos” or “disembodied objects of desire that provide sexual pleasure.”

The secret gay history of Islam

Islam once considered homosexuality to be one of the most normal things in the world.

The Ottoman Empire, the seat of power in the Muslim world, didn’t view lesbian or gay sex as taboo for centuries. They formally ruled gay sex wasn’t a crime in 1858.

But as Christians came over from the west to colonize, they infected Islam with homophobia.

The truth is many Muslims alive today believe the prophet Muhammad supported and protected sexual and gender minorities.

But go back to the beginning, and you’ll see there is far more homosexuality in Islam than you might have ever thought before.

Ancient Muslim borrowed culture from the boy-loving Ancient Greeks:

The Islamic empires, (Ottoman, Safavid/Qajar, Mughals), shared a common culture. And it shared a lot of similarities with the Ancient Greeks.

Persianate cultures, all of them Muslim, dominated modern day India and Arab world. And it was very common for older men to have sex with younger, beardless men. These younger men were called ‘amrad’.
