Americans have already tired of Biden’s hyper-partisan agenda

According to the latest Gallup poll, America has already tired of the Biden agenda. His approval rating among his own party has slipped by near double digits, and among independents, he has fallen from 61 percent to 48 percent. This marks a slide the White House is unlikely to reverse, given that voters now understand the truth: Biden is merely the figurehead of a leftist agenda out of touch with the priorities of Americans.

Biden claimed his campaign was about the soul of America and bringing back a sense of unity. But in his first six months, he has governed as a total partisan with a vanishingly slim window of political relevance, white-knuckling it toward a midterm congressional election that has Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer shaking in fear.

Is Marvel movie fatigue setting in?

Marvel's Black Widow is on track to be one of the lowest-grossing Marvel movies after a second-week box office plunge of 67 percent, with some experts worried that Marvel fatigue has set in.

The Scarlett Johansson-led film made just $26.25M last weekend compared to $80.3M on the weekend beginning July 9, marking the steepest second-week drop for a Marvel film distributed by Disney.

Chris Rock rips cancel culture for rise in ‘boring’ entertainment

“I see a lot of unfunny comedians, I see unfunny TV shows, I see unfunny awards shows, I see unfunny movies — because everybody’s scared to make a move,” he said.

“And that’s not a place to be … Now you got a place where people are scared to talk,” he said, saying it was bizarre, “especially in America.”

“You don’t really have to cancel us, ‘cos we get the message — they’re not laughing! … When we do something and people aren’t laughing, we get it,” he said.

As such, dictating what people should find funny is “disrespecting the audience,” he insisted.

Celebrity quarantine posts are inflaming tensions between the haves and have-nots

In recent weeks, Anatasia Army, 33, has kept tabs on celebrity social media exploits from the safety of her Brooklyn apartment. She saw when billionaire David Geffen shared his hope that “everyone is staying safe” in an Instagram post uploaded from his $590 million superyacht. And when comedian Ellen DeGeneres compared quarantine to “being in jail.” Most recently, she watched House Speaker Nancy Pelosi inadvertently reveal in a TV segment that she owns two industrial refrigerators, each reportedly worth $12,000.

“As soon as I saw that number, I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I could live on that,’” Army, a babysitter, says. While public displays of wealth have often elicited backlash, the coronavirus pandemic has changed the context almost overnight. A luxury kitchen appliance, Army says, “takes on a new tenor” when lines for food banks stretch for half a mile and the nonprofit hunger relief organization Feeding America estimates that an additional 17.1 million Americans may soon be struggling to eat.

The internet has provided many of us with a much-needed tether to other people and places in the midst of the pandemic, but social media is also playing another role: It has become a catalyst for anger as it exposes the growing chasm between the haves and have-nots. For every video call with a loved one, there’s accumulating evidence of unfairness as people in quarantine reveal their starkly different isolation experiences.

The Wing Founder Calls Out Gay Politician for Posting Shirtless Photo

One of the founders of elite women’s club The Wing publicly criticized New York City’s openly gay City Council Speaker for sharing a picture of a shirtless man on social media.

Audrey Gelman, who co-founded The Wing with Lauren Kassan in 2016, tweeted a screenshot of a recent Instagram post shared by Corey Johnson, who has served on New York’s City Council since 2014 and as City Council Speaker since 2018.

Johnson’s post, shared just after midnight on Friday, depicts an unidentified man who isn’t wearing a shirt. [UPDATE: Johnson is dating the man in the picture, his office confirms.] Gelman tweeted her screenshot of the photo approximately eight hours later, calling out what she perceived to be a sexist double standard.

“Corey Johnson, the NYC Council Speaker, posted this photo on social media at midnight,” Gelman wrote. “If a woman elected official did this, they wouldn’t have a job in the morning.”

11 Black Men Share Stories About Encountering Racism Within The Gay Community

2. "They've forced me into having anal sex several times and said that 'black people can handle the pain better.'"

Some white guys say that they don't like 'dark guys' (this term is awful) because of taste or because their dicks are too big for them. Some friends have hooked up with me thinking only about the chance to see a big dick or because they imagine that black guys are better in bed. They've played with my hair and 'complimented' me on my sexual performance because I'm black. They've also forced me into having anal sex several times and said that 'black people can handle the pain better.' —Rafael Porto, 25 years old.
