Why I don't have a child: society isn't built for motherhood
I was 31 the last time I got pregnant. And after a lifetime of certainty that I did not want to be a mother, I felt an unexpected thing, cutting through the panic and the nausea: happiness.
Every morning since an intuitive nudge sent me to fetch a pregnancy test from the drugstore, my breasts oddly sore and my stomach in a low-level but constant state of turbulence, I would wake up with the thought: “I can do this. I want to do this.”
By the time I fell asleep at night, I was sure there was no possible way I could do this, this being raising a child on my own.
There has been a lot of hand-wringing about declining birth rates, the lowest in more than 30 years, across all race and class divides. We’re told millennial women “choosing” not to have children will be bad for the economy, it will be bad for the ageing baby boomer population, it will be bad for the real estate market. According to Forbes, it’s bad for older women desperate for grandchildren. But are people actually deciding to delay families, or are they finding themselves in unstable situations where the addition of a child seems unworkable? The reasons given when op-ed writers bother to ask millennials – too much debt, not enough financial security, a romantic market that is as rocky as the job market – point more to the latter.
If everyone makes it into the world safely, things that used to be taken for granted are now scarce resources one might fight and compete for. Vitally important systems like decent childcare, education and healthcare has disappeared, leaving parents to choose between inadequate choices or sacrificing untold amounts of money, time and energy to compete the limited amount of something better.

An Atlanta man who pretended to be gay in order to befriend a lesbian has been convicted of raping her in 2015.

Is anal training a pandemic trend?
All of us have struggled with how to spend our increased alone time during the pandemic. Remember back in March when everyone was baking, and flour became as coveted as male feminists on Tinder? Well, unlike those carb-loving hipsters, some people are actually using their time during lockdown wisely. And by wisely, I mean they are learning to do something new. And by learning something new, I mean they are learning to take it in the ass.

Woman says 'rushed' gender reassignment treatment left her suicidal
Keira Bell is taking the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust to court over the treatment she received for gender dysphoria, a condition where a person experiences distress due to a mismatch between their biological sex and their gender identity.
The 23-year-old, who used to identify as a boy, said the puberty-delaying drugs and testosterone prescribed to her have irreversibly damaged her physical and mental health.
Ms Bell started receiving treatment, including hormone blockers, after "roughly three sessions" at the Tavistock Centre. She says at the time she had "no doubt" she wanted to become a boy.
Ms Bell described her decision to transition as a teenager as a "coping mechanism" and says there was "no real investigation" into the other mental health issues she was going through at the time.

The sad reason customers have fled El Salvadoran restaurant that went viral for helping LA riot cops
On Monday, Elizabeth stood in front of her business, a Salvadoran restaurant called La Ceiba, just two days after the terrifying incident when a handful of LA County Sheriff's deputies overcome by tear gas burst into her small restaurant.
Without missing a beat, Mendoza's cousin, Rosa, jumped in and splashed milk and water into the grateful deputies' eyes.
‘I helped them because we are all humans,’ Rosa told DailyMail.com. ‘They needed our help and we are here to serve.’

Father who killed his son because he was gay let out of jail after two years behind bars
A father who is accused of killing his own son for being gay has been placed on house arrest. Now the victim’s mother is speaking out.
In 2017, Giovanni Melton, 17, was shot and killed in Henderson, Nevada. His father Wendell Melton was arrested because police believed that he was responsible for the murder.
Now a judge has let Wendell Melton out on $200,000 bail and placed him on house arrest as he awaits trial.
“I felt betrayed,” said Veronica Melton, Giovanni Melton’s mother.

Jail for woman who posed as man on Grindr and stalked young male couple
A judge has jailed a woman who posed as a gay man on Grindr then harassed a man and falsely accused his boyfriend of being a pedophile.
The woman used multiple identities to harass the couple. She circulated private sexual images and even sent men looking for sex to their house.
Yannick Glaudin, 31, carried out her campaign of harassment in the UK and she pleaded guilty to all the offenses in July 2018. But she evaded justice for over a year by then fleeing to her native France.
However, French authorities extradited her back to Britain in January under a European arrest warrant. And she appeared before a judge at the Inner London Crown Court in Southwark, south London.

New Bill Would Criminalize Revealing the Truth About Sex and Identity
Identification Chaos
SB 59 would allow someone to secretly change his or her sex and name together after committing a crime. If a law enforcement officer found official records of their original identity, that officer would be legally prohibited from sharing those records, even in court. People whose sex and accompanying name are tied to past actions or crimes change their sex and a different name, and anyone who shows documentation of the change could be punished. Letting anybody secretly change their sex on official documents at any time radically undermines identity verification and will endanger Californians.

Barrowman was set to join David Bradley aka William Hartnell's First Doctor in the West End production but past allegations of inappropriate behavior resurfaced via a 2014 video where Barrowman's Doctor Who co-star Noel Clarke (who is facing his own allegations) discussed Barrowman exposing himself on the set. From there, Big Finish made its move, saying in a statement, "Big Finish has taken the decision to remove 'Torchwood: Absent Friends' from the Monthly Range release schedule and has no plans to publish this title at this time."

Counsellor Suggests Gay Parents More Likely To Abuse Kids
Cheryl Parrott, a counsellor at Rich Relationships Counselling in Sydney, Australia, implied same-sex relationships could be unsafe for children, in comments made public on Tuesday.
“Research has shown that children are safest in their biological families. That the highest rate of child abuse is usually perpetrated by an adult not the biological parent of a child,” she wrote.
“In a same sex relationship one (if not both) of the adults will not be the biological parent of that child.”
