The future of The Batman and its potential sequels may now be in jeopardy, as a new rumor claims that Matt Reeves has refused to work with Robert Pattinson ever again after catching the actor having sex atop the film’s Batmobile prop.

“He literally told Pattinson, ‘You are the most entitled narcissistic actor I’ve ever worked with, you go back to work, we finish filming in March and then we are done. I don’t want to ever work with you after this film,’” wrote the supposed The Batman set worker. “He even said he refuses to do reshoots if they will be needed. I don’t know what they are gonna do but they try to keep this situation on leash before the media will make it official.”

Several viewers watching the movie on BBC One took to social media to express the opinion that it hadn't aged well.

Accusations of anti-LGBTQ prejudice stemmed from the dance competition scene, which declares same-sex couples aren't allowed to take part. Others called the movie "misogynistic" over its portrayal of Rizzo, who is shamed for sleeping with multiple men, while various lyrics in some of its most famous songs were considered to be more than a little problematic.

Comedian and actor David Cross is probably best known to comedy audience for his roles in Arrested Development and Mr. Show or perhaps even the three seasons of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, a show he created and starred in. Alas, however, to younger audiences, Cross is probably best known for playing Ian in three Alvin and the Chipmunks movies, which earned over $1.1 billion worldwide.

Cross’s disdain for those films, however, is not a secret to anyone. “All I wanted was to get the fuck out of there as soon as possible … and buy a summer home with the check,” he once told Conan O’Brien during an appearance on his late-night talk show. He also called working on the third movie, Chipwrecked, “literally, without question, the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had in my professional life,” and has long held a producer on the film responsible for mistreating Cross on that final film, which essentially saw him “forced at legal gunpoint” to spend an entire week on a Carnival Cruise.

David Prowse, the towering actor who terrified generations of movie-watchers as Darth Vader in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, has died at age 85.

He died after a short illness, his agent, Thomas Bowington, confirmed Sunday morning.

Prowse did not provide Vader's voice — that was James Earl Jones — but his muscular 6-foot-6 frame became the embodiment of one of the great movie villains.

Born in Bristol, England, in 1935, Prowse was a competitive weightlifter before he entered show business, winning the British heavyweight lifting championship three years in a row beginning in 1962. His bodybuilding prowess led him to become a personal trainer to various screen stars, including Christopher Reeve while he was preparing for "Superman."

Marvel Studio’s plans for the sequel to Black Panther are starting to come into focus.

The sequel was sidelined after the sudden and unexpected death of star Chadwick Boseman and a planned March 2021 production start was waylaid as filmmaker Ryan Coogler and Marvel tried to navigate grief and the need to move forward. It was the nadir of a year that saw no Marvel movies released for the first time since 2009.

One of filmmaker Ron Howard’s earliest directorial projects in his career was a made-for-television movie called Skyward.

As Howard told the Archive of American Television in 2006, making the film was an amazing experience for him.

What was difficult was directing legendary actor Bette Davis, firstly because of how intimidating it was to work with one of the greatest actors in the history of film.

But also, secondly, because Howard had the feeling she didn’t like him.

Sean Connery, most famous for his portrayal of James Bond, has died at the age of 90, his family said Saturday. The actor, who played 007 in seven movies starting with 1962's Dr. No, died in his sleep in the Bahamas. The actor had been "unwell for some time," his son Jason told the BBC.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Connery had an acting career that spanned decades and included multiple award-winning performances. He won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his work in The Untouchables in 1988 and won three Golden Globes. He also starred opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, in which he played Jones' father.

The public may be overjoyed that familiar faces like Jamie Foxx are returning to the Spider-Man universe, but apparently not everyone associated with the series feels the same way. According to sources close to WGTC – the same ones who told us Ben Affleck is returning as Batman in The Flash and Disney is developing a Lion King sequel, both of which were correct – Tom Holland is not happy that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are coming back to reprise their roles as the titular web-head in Spider-Man 3.

The 24-year-old star reportedly wanted a Spidey movie all to himself, after Tony Stark had a strong presence in the first one and Nick Fury held a heavy role in the second. Instead, he’ll now have to share the spotlight with two of the actors who previously anchored the part, thus reigniting the debate over which performer is the best Peter Parker. And apparently, he feels that their inclusion will overshadow his role as the MCU’s main web-slinging protagonist.

So much so, the broadcaster Sky has announced it has commissioned a third version of Village of the Damned from David Farr, the writer of The Night Manager.

The first, filmed in 1960, is a cult classic of understated British horror. The 1995 version, starring Christopher Reeves, translated the nightmare to small-town America.

Both were based on John Wyndham’s The Midwich Cuckoos, in which a whole village briefly loses consciousness. Nine months later, eerily identical alien babies with telepathic powers are born to the women. They are smarter and grow faster than normal – and are soon threatening not just their “parents”, but all humankind.

Both the single-minded power of the Chinese state and the collective force of an online horde echo the strength of the Midwich aliens versus the fragmented, conflicted arguments of the humans opposing them. The aliens’ power was that they were not individuals – they were parts of a single entity with a single idea – to survive. As in Wyndham’s time, we again face a real contrast between individualism and groupthink.

The first began in 1989 with the film simply titled Batman, directed by Tim Burton. The movie introduced viewers to Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, all with that dark and gothic style that has made Burton’s work stand-out. Three years later, Burton returned to Gotham City with Batman Returns, with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and Danny DeVito as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin. Batman Returns is considered among the best superhero movies ever, but it also drew a lot of criticism due to its darker tone, and Burton didn’t return to direct more Batman movies. Instead, Joel Schumacher was brought in and directed Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, both with different actors playing Bruce Wayne (Val Kilmer and George Clooney, respectively). Burton not only gave Gotham a darker tone, but he also understood the city better than Nolan and Snyder did years later.

James Caan says there wont be a sequel to the hit Christmas fantasy-comedy “Elf” because headliner Will Ferrell and director Jon Favreau “didn’t get along.”

“”We were gonna do it and I thought, ‘Oh my god, I finally got a franchise movie, I could make some money, let my kids do what the hell they want to do.’ And the director and Will didn’t get along very well,” Caan told Cleveland’s 92.3 The Fan’s Bull & Fox show on Friday. “So, Will wanted to do it, he didn’t want the director, and he had it in his contract, it was one of those things.”

News that Chadwick Boseman died after battling cancer for four years shocked the world a couple of weeks ago. Few people knew the actor had been fighting the terrible illness even as he was shooting some of his most iconic movies, Black Panther among them. A report a few days ago said that Boseman was hopeful he would get better, and he would have started preparing for Black Panther 2 this month. The sequel is not officially included in Phase 4, as Marvel announced Black Panther 2 separately with an initial release date of May 6th, 2022. Factors like the novel coronavirus pandemic and the untimely death of Boseman might force Disney to delay the film and give it more time to deal with the loss. Marvel has a few options at its disposal, but it’s too early to address the matter publicly. Fans, however, already think they know how Black Panther 2 should proceed.

One of the obvious choices would be to recast a different actor as T’Challa/Black Panther. But it’s unlikely that fans would appreciate such a move. It would also be incredibly difficult for a different actor to accept the role. Boseman is T’Challa, and his Black Panther should be honored by not giving the part to a different actor, even if Boseman’s passing causes issues for Marvel’s plans. The character was also supposedly going to appear in other crossovers in the future, not just the Black Panther sequel.
