The stereotype we run from is our family. 24-Jun-2020

When you destroy the history that defines you
and the country you reside in
you are negating your ancestor's sweat and accomplishments, suffering and heroism

It won't free you of hurt
It won't grant empathy from the masses
the scars will remain for all to resolve
along with the endless fight

and when future people ask why
they won't understand
because there will be little proof

hostilities will be judged on how races act in the present

I hope new history doesn't include the word asshole in it. 24-Jun-2020

We need new representation. Pronto! I've been living my life harder as a better person because someone thought a thug could be a hero. The thugs are the Nazis of our community, raping, pillaging and obliterating everyone they please. The upstanding citizen is always ignored or castrated for becoming...not them. White people don't really much complain because it keeps us busy and makes us easier to tolerate. It's only entertainment. They gift you for achievements unaccomplished while secretly suspecting. They elevate and inflate a selected few to King and Queen status and only support us in causes with the least life stress, less they perceive you as an ungrateful stereotype. The more of a petty life celebration, the less, us, in the pit are safe. You bought yourself a tower to represent the petty thugs that kill us because it's the only swag you've got. I sit here, a victim of countless thugs, refusing to worship or be labeled as one. We almost had them and the thug fucked it up. I don't fucking get it.

You can sit there and wonder, make excuses, but they hate us alike because we are thugs. Get it?

Oops! They can't hear me because they're hiding in a bejeweled tower, we helped create.

I think this is the perfect time to create heroes. Real ones. 12-Apr-2020

After the 136th failed and waste of attempt to establish a LTR with a man, my mother exclaimed that it doesn't seem boy on boy relationships work. After more than 30 years of fighting it, I gave up and concurred. Every gay man wants one, few achieve it and many of us have no fucking idea how to score it. Sometimes I feel our legacy is just loving puppies and swallowing dick. 14-Jan-2020

It is imperative that every gay senior (anyone over 30) travel. You are shunned by the cave dweller elite if you can't abide. What a doctor can't fix, running will. We run from the reality of aging in a community saddled by conflict and illusion. We ask for a travel partner so they can bear witness. We run faster so aches and severity don't catch up. The mirrors in other places make us look better.

Love is on the ground not in the air. Plant your feet somewhere and it might grow. 06-Nov-2019
I spent so much time traveling through imagination that when I actually traveled somewhere... I wasn't impressed. 06-Nov-2019

Op-Ed / Sorry Obama But Donald Trump is America’s First Hip-Hop President

67 Times Rappers Name Dropped ‘Donald Trump’

BAQUET - Some people think that the election of Donald Trump has revived the debate about race in America. Some people think that, in fact, there's always been racism in America; that it hasn't changed and that the debate isn't any different. It's just people are paying attention to it. What do you think?

JAY-Z - The great thing about Donald Trump being president is now we’re forced to have the dialogue. Now we’re having the conversation on the large scale; he’s provided the platform for us to have the conversation.

BAQUET - And you think that's better? That we should be having a conversation?

JAY-Z - Absolutely. That's why this is happening.

BAQUET - Do you think the debate over race in America is happening in a healthy way?

JAY-Z - Well, an ideal way is to have a president that says, "I'm open to dialogue and fixing this." That's ideal. But it's still happening in a good way, because you can't have a solution until you start dealing with the problem: What you reveal, you heal. 06-Aug-2019

I'd rather be a hardworking maid than a thug. 06-Aug-2019
Discussion of antisocial behavior in poor black communities, let alone the possibility that it plays a significant role in racial inequality, has become another casualty of the post-’60s era. King and other black leaders at the time spoke openly about the need for more-responsible behavior in poor black communities. After remarking on disproportionately high inner-city crime rates, King told a black congregation in St. Louis that “we’ve got to do something about our moral standards.” He added: “We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.” -- Martin Luther King Jr. 06-Aug-2019

If you can’t predict the future ramifications of advice dispensed to your client you shouldn’t give it. Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry should never be based on the trustee's personal beliefs. As a gay man in a relationship the go to at the slightest hint of a problem is to dispense with it and adopt another so you can empower yourself. You get to repeat the cycle again and again in every future relationship without ever resolving the problem. Causing chaos to an existing relationship is not betterment. We would never disrupt a straight marriage without pushback. All gays are not drawn the same. I don't care what anyone does in their relationships but forcing us into the web of revolving sex to end up lonely and suicidal is not what I'm striving for. Our community will never thrive if all we recommend is another mouth that bites.

When I came out I had romantic notions. The first thing our daddies teach is to share sex with multiple partners to the point of isolation and disrespect. I don't want to be a gaybot stereotype and I wish that we could recognize another form to communicate life satisfaction to each other. It offends me highly and we all end up miserable.

You might hold the pencil but I have an eraser.
