Restaurant owner is accused of KIDNAPPING a black 13-year-old boy at gunpoint and forcing him back to his eatery where the teen had reportedly been causing trouble and threw a bottle

A Kentucky restaurant owner has been arrested after he allegedly kidnapped a black teen from a local grocery store and threatened him with a BB gun.

Fabao Chen, 58, was detained on Tuesday at the Double Dragon restaurant on West Broadway after he took the 13-year-old from a nearby Kroger at 27th and Broadway in Louisville.

An arrest report states that at approximately 4.30pm, Chen forcibly snatched the boy from the store against his will. He can be seen surveillance in footage pulling the boy to his restaurant.

Anti-LGBTQ Sentiment Is Rising Around the World

If only the greatest problem facing the LGBTQ community today were that two gay rats couldn’t get married in Alabama. For those not following the world of children’s television with great enthusiasm, the Alabama affiliate of PBS chose not to broadcast an episode of the children’s program Arthur in which Mr. Ratburn marries his longtime male friend Patrick, an aardvark chocolatier. Some people have complained that they would have difficulties explaining the content of such an episode to their children.

I agree—it could be distressing to have to explain to a child that rats are not sophisticated enough to have weddings, let alone become chocolatiers. Explaining that same-sex couples get married, however, should be a breeze. It happens every day. If your child does not understand what a wedding is, you can show them the end of nearly any Disney movie.

But the public pushback on a seemingly harmless episode of Arthur is just one instance of the discomfort that many people still feel with LGBTQ people being considered equal under law. Very recently, Trump’s Department of Housing and Urban Development proposed a rule that would allow housing that receives federal funds—such as homeless shelters—to discriminate against transgender individuals.

5 former Michigan Catholic priests charged with sex crimes

Michigan prosecutors announced Friday that five former Catholic priests are facing sexual abuse charges as part of the state attorney general's ongoing investigation into clergy abuse going back decades.

Attorney General Dana Nessel said the priests served in dioceses in Detroit, Lansing and Kalamazoo, and that they've been charged with various counts of criminal sexual conduct. Four of them were arrested this week in Arizona, California, Florida and Michigan, and the fifth awaits extradition from India.

A sixth priest faces an administrative complaint and has had his counseling license suspended by the state, officials said.

Kenya's Judges Uphold Laws That Criminalize Gay Sex

Kenya's High Court has chosen to uphold colonial-era laws that criminalize gay sex, dashing the hopes of activists who believed the judges would overturn sections of the penal code as unconstitutional and inspire a sea change across the continent.

Three judges said Friday that the laws in question did not target the LGBTQ community. They were not convinced that people's basic rights had been violated, they said.

"We are not persuaded by the petitioners that the offenses against them are overboard," one of the judges said, according local media.

The case stems from to a petition filed in 2016 by activist Eric Gitari, with the support of organizations serving LGBTQ Kenyans. They argued that two sections of Kenya's penal code violated people's rights: Article 162 penalizes "carnal knowledge ... against the order of nature" with up to 14 years in prison, and Article 165 castigates "indecent practices between males" with the possibility of five years' imprisonment.

Two men arrested after 18 year old falls from condo after alleged three-way

A doctor and his male friend have been arrested after an 18-year-old man fell to his death after an alleged three-way.

Police apprehended the pair after their guest fell from a balcony at the doctor’s 20th floor condo in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday (18 May).

A police source at Thong Lor police station told The Nation that the two suspects appeared to be under the influence of crystal methamphetamine.

What happened?

Thong Lor precinct officers received the report of the victim’s death at 3.30pm on Saturday.

Police authorities examined the building’s CCTV recordings. They reportedly found the victim entered the condo block with two older men, both in their 30s, and went up to the 20th floor with them.

One of the men alleged the teen became intoxicated and fell from the balcony. Locals found him on the street wearing only a G-string.

"Not a big deal": Police commander's text after Eric Garner's death draws gasps at trial

A New York Police Department commander texted "Not a big deal" to an officer in 2014 after learning Eric Garner had most likely died during a police encounter, according to testimony Thursday. CBS radio affiliate WCBS reports there were audible gasps as Lt. Christopher Bannon's texts to Sgt. Dhanan Saminath were displayed during the departmental trial for officer Daniel Pantaleo.

Pantaleo is accused of using a banned chokehold on Garner, which a medical examiner testified this week set into motion "a lethal sequence of events." Garner, a father of six, had been arrested for selling untaxed cigarettes numerous times and was suspected of doing the same when officers approached him, police said. Garner, who had asthma, suffered a heart attack in an ambulance and was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Eight members of a radical group with ties to al Qaeda have been charged with the murder of two LGBTQ activists in Bangladesh, several media outlets reported today.

This notoriously homophobic pastor has been caught running a hellish private school

A Christian school in Harlem has been feeding students rabid homophobia for years.

The Atlah World Missionary Church is run by Pastor James Manning, who is best known for some of his appearances on The Daily Show where he claimed that Barack Obama was “Hitler” and that Starbucks puts “gay semen” in its lattes.

The church is listed as an anti-LGBTQ hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Massive Boost in Herpes Cases Reported During Coachella

Much like hidden fees and $15 bottles of water, herpes is among the assortment of things you last want to see or otherwise experience during a music festival.

Still, 'twas a spike of the herpes variety that coincided with the recent Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio. According to a TMZ report filed Thursday that admittedly contains some truly inspired stock photo interpolating, the herp warners over at HerpAlert noticed quite a growth in Southern California cases during the first two days of the festival.

Man Admits Raping Toddler After Passerby Witnesses The Horrid Assault Through The Bedroom Window

A New Jersey man has admitted to raping a toddler after a passerby saw him committing the assault through a bedroom window.

Jaime Mauricio Leon, 34, of Bloomfield, pleaded guilty last week to first-degree aggravated sexual assault, and third-degree possession of child pornography, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Tuesday.

In June of 2017, “a private citizen walked into the Long Branch Police Department to report that he observed, through a bedroom window, a man and woman committing sexual acts upon a minor,” the prosecutor's office states. That person said the child appeared to be sleeping.

Texas Couple Held Girl as Slave for 16 Years, Called Her 'Dog' and 'Worthless'

A Texas couple who held a young girl from West Africa as a slave for 16 years were each sentenced Monday to seven years in federal prison, PEOPLE confirms.

A press release from federal prosecutors states Toure and Cros-Toure must pay $288,620.24 in restitution to their victim, who managed to escape in 2016.

A federal jury convicted the defendants of forced labor, conspiracy to commit alien harboring, and alien harboring on January 11 following a four-day trial.

Now, as a consequence of their convictions, both defendants, who are citizens of Guinea and lawful permanent residents of the United States, may lose their U.S. immigration status and be deported after they complete their sentences.

Modi's party chief vows to throw illegal immigrants in India into Bay of Bengal

The head of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ruling Hindu nationalist party took his invective against illegal Muslim immigrants to a new level this week as the general election kicked off, promising to throw them into the Bay of Bengal.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah referred such illegal immigrants as “termites”, a description he also used last September, when he drew condemnation from rights groups. The U.S. State Department also noted the remark in its annual human rights report.

“Infiltrators are like termites in the soil of Bengal,” Shah said on Thursday at a rally in the eastern state of West Bengal, as voting in India’s 39-day general election started.

“A Bharatiya Janata Party government will pick up infiltrators one by one and throw them into the Bay of Bengal,” he said, referring to illegal immigrants from neighboring Muslim-majority Bangladesh.
