In need of clarification, it has shallow entertainment value and a lackadaisical push to move forward. 12-Aug-2019
Dark Tower, The (2017)
Harder to watch than it was to read. 12-Apr-2019
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
I call myself erratic because I am. I presumed the group called themselves Queen because the lead singer was. Singer directs through a fog conveying no gay sensibilities or joy. He wasted high value entertainment opportunities. When Malek lip synchs he finds his Mercury but the act was teeth grinding. 09-Mar-2019
Boy Erased (2018)
Respectfully tempered and accurate, miscast, minor provocation and out of range. I can hear the subject but I don't feel it. It needed to inform as well as wrench.

The idea to affright pranksters holds steady. As soon as it realizes it can't scare us it lurches towards disgust. 17-Nov-2018
Lodgers, The (2017)
The curse never lives up to the resources the filmmakers were given access to. 24-Sep-2018
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
The three main try their utmost to realize but the production can't best the original's mediocre entanglements. Sigh. Not even a titdance from Dwayne. 04-Sep-2018
Love, Simon (2018)
It's a gulp full of hope where little offense is discharged and flecks of reality are spat.
Fairytales lift the imagination but authenticity will empower children. Its a disservice to send them out into the world with our fanciful wants. 27-Aug-2018
