George Michael’s ex caught smashing his way into the late star’s home

George Michael’s ex was busted for smashing his way into the late pop star’s London home — just days before the fourth anniversary of the singer’s Christmas Day death, according to reports.

Troubled hairstylist Fadi Fawaz, 47, was confronted Tuesday morning after breaking a window to get into the “Last Christmas” star’s empty $6.75 million home, the Sun said.

“This is my place. George wanted me to have it,” he allegedly yelled at officers who arrived at the house that Fawaz was kicked out of by Michael’s family last year, the UK paper said.

Head pastors at Hillsong Church are accused of using volunteers as their personal babysitters for little or no pay, insiders said

After celebrity pastor of Hillsong NYC Carl Lentz was fired for cheating on his wife in November, sources told Insider that the issues at Hillsong run much deeper than one affair.

Several former volunteers said top pastors regularly took advantage of free and underpaid labor, and in some cases paid little or no money for volunteers to babysit their children.

In 2017, former Hillsong Boston volunteer Tiffany Perez said she was asked to take care of the top pastor Josh Kimes' daughter, Lyla, who was 4 at the time for $150 a week.

Perez often worked up to 25 hours a week babysitting, she said, which comes out to about $6 an hour, or half the minimum wage in Massachusetts. Perez also cleaned their home and looked after their dog, she said. She was not paid extra for the cleaning or dog care.

Politically correct Santa tells crying kid he won’t bring him Nerf gun

A mall Santa dropped the hammer on a little boy who asked him for a Nerf gun for Christmas — telling the bawling kid he wouldn’t bring him the toy.

The politically correct Kris Kringle was caught on video asking the child what he wanted for the holiday, according to a Facebook post by the boy’s mother.

The boy apparently mentioned a gun, because the Santa could be heard replying, “No, no guns.’’

When the kid’s mom, who was standing nearby, piped in just to be clear, “Nerf gun,’’ the not-so-jolly ol’ St. Nick was still having none of it.

For fifth year in a row, hate crimes rise in Orange County — and by 24%

From slurs to physical confrontations, hate crimes in Orange County rose in 2019 for the fifth year in a row, and by a huge leap, 24%.

A majority of the crimes involved the perpetrator attacking the victim for his or her race, national origin or ethnicity.

Although Black people constitute less than 2% of Orange County’s nearly 3.2 million residents, they were the most targeted racial group, according to the report.

Among the hate crimes motivated by religious prejudice, members of the Jewish community were the primary targets, representing about two-thirds of 44 hate incidents, followed by Catholics, other Christians and Muslims, according to the report. Among crimes related to victims’ sexual orientation and gender identity, a majority of the cases were antigay, followed by antifemale and antitransgender.

Why some Latino essential workers remain overlooked amid racial reckoning protests

The vast majority of Latinos living in the U.S. (around 60.6 million) are not undocumented, but 15.7% lived in poverty in 2019, a number that had been falling, but is still more than double their white counterparts, according to Census data.

Latinos also make up a large portion of the labor force in service sectors that were considered essential after the COVID-19 pandemic started (some 65%) -- like some construction, health care and food service workers -- leaving them at higher risk of being exposed to the disease without the protections typically afforded first responders and other traditional essential workers.

"Why are Latinos dying at a higher rate? Because we have no choice," said Frankie Miranda, the president of the Hispanic Federation, which supports Latino-led non-profits around the country. "We have to go to work, stock the shelves, deliver the food, be the sanitation workers, and of course we don't have the protective gear or any kind of information that can help us really navigate this. We know this for sure because our member agencies -- that were already underfunded and under-resourced -- were the ones that needed to step in and be the first responders for our communities."

When asked why he believes the Mexican community has not jumped into action and demanded racial equality following the Black Lives Matter protests, Alvarez suggested: "We are too afraid. Even if you want to do a peaceful protest, you don't want to be arrested because you can get deported."

Alvarez's case points to another situation that many Latinos say is affecting the community: lack of unity.

Why Lucille Ball’s Daughter Tells Aspiring Actors To Find a Different Profession–’Make Sure You Get a Porno Tape Out There’

Show business has changed quite a but since I Love Lucy was on the air. Lucille Ball and her daughter, Lucie Arnaz, experienced two very different versions of Hollywood. And as Arnaz reflects on the industry today, she doesn’t like what she sees. That’s why she tells aspiring actors to “change your mind” when they ask her for advice on breaking into show business.

When Arnaz was interviewed by the Television Academy Foundation in 2016, she was asked what advice she had for aspiring actresses. First, she says she’d try to convince them to find a different career.

“I think this business has changed so dramatically. I would not recommend anybody going into it. There are half as many parts as there were when we were growing up,” she said.

Arnaz notes that the rise of reality TV has to do with there being fewer parts for actors.

“There’s all kinds of reality TV now because that’s cheaper for everybody to do. There doesn’t seem to be a difference between a reality star and a star star. So why work so hard? Make sure you get a p*rno tape out there right away. That’ll help,” she said sarcastically. “I mean, as you can see, I’m a little, just–I’m baffled by the business at present.”

I asked 25 ‘Hot Guy’ Instagram pages why there were no men of colour. Here’s what happened…

Why are so many of these ‘Hot Guy’ Instagram feeds that are not only all white but all cisgender and all buff? What does it say about standards of beauty in the gay community?

As so often happens, a friend forwarded me a picture of your typical hot, white, cisgender, muscled, light-eyed Instagram hunk featured on a ‘Hot Guys’ page. As I scrolled down, I was reminded of #HoscosGate: a sea of beautiful, stunning white men, clearly targeted towards gay men. There were no BAME men that I could see, and I scrolled as far back as 2017. I reached out to the page, with a polite, “Hi There [name of page] great page, I have a question, I hope you don’t mind. Why do you not post pictures featuring men of colour?” I was blocked. I sent variations of that message to 25 Instagram pages, and all either replied or blocked me. There were two consistent replies: the first being that guys pay to be featured; the second that men of colour ‘do not like to be featured’. When pressed on that I was told that ‘they don’t want to be on gay pages’.

Filipino politician tries to force LGBT+ people to kiss and ‘sexy dance’ as punishment for breaching coronavirus lockdown

A Filipino politician reportedly tried to force LGBT+ people to kiss each other and perform a “sexy dance” in front of minors as a punishment for breaking a coronavirus lockdown curfew.

Christopher Bombing Punzalan, captain (elected chairman) of the Pandacaqui barangay (district), posted a series of now-deleted Facebook live videos of him confronting a group breaking the 8pm lockdown curfew.

LGBT charity tells young people to ‘hit pause’ on coming out while in lockdown with parents

The Albert Kennedy Trust (AKT), a charity that cares for the LGBT+ homeless, has warned young people to “think hard” before coming out at this time.

The advice comes as LGBT+ helplines see a surge in calls from people who are stuck self-isolating with abusive family and partners.

“If you’re a young person and you’re thinking of coming out, press pause on that until you get support,” Tim Sigsworth, AKT’s CEO, told Sky News.

He expressed concern for how families may react to their child coming out in this particularly stressful time, and warned of the dangers of being made homeless during the pandemic.

LGBT+ helpline sees calls double as queer people fear being left with abusive families during coronavirus lockdown

An LGBT+ charity has said it has seen a huge increase in the number of calls to its helpline since the coronavirus pandemic started.

The UK-based LGBT Foundation said the number of calls received over the last week was more than double the number received in the same period last year.

Worryingly, the charity said countless LGBT+ people are seeking support as they are stuck self-isolating with abusive family and partners.

They also warned that self-isolation means many queer people have been forced back into the closet, while many more have faced severe financial issues due to the pandemic’s economic fallout.

The gay men risking their health for the perfect body

Jeff Ingold, from LGBT charity Stonewall says it is "crucial" that we see more diverse representations of gay and bisexual men with different body types in the media.

"Not only would this help gay and bi men see themselves reflected in what they watch, it would also help break down harmful stereotypes that affect gay and bi men's body image and self-esteem."

But as it is, Jakeb says he still gets people online telling him they "wouldn't leave the house if they looked like me".

"I didn't go on pride marches and have bricks thrown at me to have the community we've got now," he says.

"We have equality, but we're horrible to each other."

Mexican singer says he was trafficked and abused as a teenager

Luis Armando Campos says singing is his life. At 23, he's already had a very impressive singing career that started when he was just a child in his native Tampico, a port city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas.

"I was about 11, almost 12, when I first appeared on a local TV show in Tampico," Campos said.

In 2014, he was a semi-finalist in "The Voice Mexico." The international reality singing competition franchise took his career to new levels. Even though he didn't win, Campos has since toured Mexico with his music. But what his increasing number of fans didn't know, Campos says, is that while his career was taking off, he was forced to live a double life -- as a sex slave.

We don't want to talk to kids about sex but we will allow them to assign whatever sex they like. When I was a kid I never thought about sex, even when I was being abused. I believe they should be allowed to express themselves but we shouldn't sway them either way and parents overreact when society views them. Loving them should come naturally. Putting so much pressure on it makes the media a bad parent. Why can't we accept that people will behave in a certain way when they have different beliefs. In the Bizzarro World my mother would have made me wear dresses because I played with a doll. I would have hated that. Pretending is not acquiescing. Eventually, they will hurt you. We need to encourage children to detach from negative people, not support them while they stab you in the back.

Parents destroy us but only the world can kill us. You want to create a better environment for LGBTQ youth to strive in, give them survival skills. Barking at other dogs isn't going to save them. You need to reach the wolves.

Hipitty-Hop and religion are notoriously hostile to LGBTQ yet we revere and turn the other cheek. God might strike us down and the black community will kill us. (We didn't struggle when they killed disco even though it spoke to our community.) So we keep going to Chick-fil-A and pretend that talking is finally singing. Why don't we hit what reverberates? Almost every gay white single has hip-hop listed as a preference but would never date anyone of color. We continue to masturbate to celebrities that hate us. We hate stereotypes but are constantly bombarded by them. We think commitment is a roommate and what's left over from a surrogate's abortion. We need to fix us to teach our children. We don't need coddling, we need action. My mother prays for everything while doing nothing. The world is ending...we can't save it...what do we do? (Give your kids some fucking books so they can become smart and solve that shit themselves.) Why are we making our lives more miserable to satisfy a kid of your kid I will never meet.

How about punishing parents who throw LGBTQ kids out into the street? It sounds like a crime. Start there. If parents raise a bully they should be fined and be required to attend parental classes. Fuck, make future parents get licenses to have kids.

If you're not going after the big guns, you are all hypocrites and your kids will continue to perish.

Campaigns shouldn't ring bells but bang drums... 01-Aug-2019
As a society we assign tremendous power to family esp. "the parents." I've never met these "mortals fantastic," generated from a Hollywood dream. Every parent is a composite of things well intentioned and future regrets. They know they can't be perfect therefore the excuses.

Mother: I was a single mother with no money fighting for our lives yet I found a way to clean them and feed them. Wilfred was his name.

Everybody applauded her and put her on a pedestal. It was an argument no child could win. The world was incapable of seeing her true self. She brewed a glow from a mother's sacrifice. We were branded silly little liars if my sister or I complained to an adult. Now, I am clinically insane so they wont believe my stories of abuse. Family first. Keep your witnesses close and the snitches chained.

She accepted my coming out with a "but" and a lifetime of attempts at changing it.

Mother: thank God you're not a flamer. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

You mean it could have been worst?

She drugged me so I could sleep with a cousin while two other cousins and herself, watched and cheered. She had my lesbian aunt make out with my boyfriend and grind on him so no one would question anybody's sexuality. When I would break up with a boyfriend she'd scowl at me and tell me to get over it. It wasn't real love. It was two guys. My stepfather concurred. I sounded like a maniac rendering my feelings.

Mother: you should stop this shit now with the guys. Only a woman can make you happy.

I had to come out every time it didn't work out with a boy.

To everyone, she represented survival and progression. She accepted everyone. She was a goddess. She knew the power of a woman. She was not a threat to her brethren and she knew what a man wanted. She told me it was pretense. It was a secret between mother and son. She created a role fitting the person she was trying to mentally seduce from pieces scattered in her reality. She changed them. (OMG. That's Errattic.)

Blah, blah, blah...she's a monster.

I believe every person deserves respect. Every time the media latches onto the joy of parenting without consideration to how the child feels, it's inconsiderate. You are giving them the right to kill us. Almost every person I've ever met has been abused by their parents. We act like it's an anomaly. My mother told me she loved me everyday and did unimaginable things to me. She'd rather celebrate my failures than allow me a win.

Mother: I told you so.

The scary parents aren't going to be talking to experts about their skills. Experts are for the privileged. They have their own fuck-ups. These are the parents we are confusing and bullying to love everything about a kid. Just because they said "hello" doesn't mean that they will love you. Those parents are going to bolt the door and you will find out about the abuse when he or she is dead. That's dangerous.

We don't need scary people pretending. They will infiltrate your lives and wait for that moment to slice you because..."they told you so."

Teach the kids to run. It never gets better. "They never understood, they just accepted it."

In old age mother finds different but no less strategic ways to abuse. It always takes me back to the room where I cowered from her fists as a wee.

I wish society would allow us to shoo away the monster without guilt.

Mattress heir’s hubby groped me: home chef

A male chef says groping was on the menu when he worked for a Manhattan mattress heiress, whose husband “aggressively” grabbed his backside and engaged in creepy antics, he alleges.

Joshua Wojtowicz claims in a complaint that Greg Williamson gave him an unwanted hug on his first day on the job at the couple’s $12 million Upper West Side pad, where Williamson lives with his wife Kate.

Williamson’s wife is the daughter of Richard Yulman, founder of the Serta mattress manufacturing company, National Bedding Co.

Kate is also named in the complaint the chef filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission July 8 for allegedly doing nothing as her husband allegedly sexually harassed Williamson last year.

This daycare rejected a child because of her lesbian parents

When Brittney Ready and her wife Stacey enrolled their youngest daughter Callie in the daycare program of Parkview Christian Academy of Waco, Texas, they hoped their child would continue being raised in the Christian faith, just like they’d done at home. Instead, Callie was rejected because her parents are lesbians.

In a public Facebook post, Brittney wrote that the school called she and her partner in when they had an opening for their daughter.

Brittney said, “With excitement we went in this afternoon ready to see the place and get her started. The director was super sweet and welcoming to us and Callie! We go to leave with paperwork in hand only for the administrator to call us into his office to let us know that he heard that Stacey and I are “mates” (first off we aren’t animals) and because of that they cannot welcome her (Callie).”

When Brittney asked why her child was no longer welcome, the administrator reportedly said, “bylaws are bylaws” and that the school’s Christian faith disallowed the school from accepting Callie.
