And Now The Screaming Starts (1973) Arf

Abrupt editing and tacky effects sour a spooky tale. Virgin bride moves into castle with a family curse. The secret only intensifies because anyone who divulges it perishes. Bride has visions of a severed hand and a man with hollowed out eyes. The hand showed up in peculiar places with violence its main purpose. Bride's visions are only realistic to her. No one sees what she experiences. A professor of mentality is hired to calculate and treat her paranoia. The script doesn't linger analyzing the character's actions and the actors don't assert like the majority of the people would. The camera silently presents faces grandly emoting as thoughts. The secret sounded more devastating than was presented. I didn't know you could inherit a scar, trashing a relative's grave is cathartic and that women screaming during a 30 second fuck was normal. 14-Jul-2026

Hamnet (2025) Woof

A supposition of how a master artist was inspired to create a classic play. Ms Buckley masters riveting. It only takes a manner of minutes before she blows us away. A beautiful guttural actress. Mescal was passionate and romantic stuck in a dreamworld that paralleled his own without the magic or the hope. Zhao was efficient with feet planted on the ground and her head looking upwards. An uplifting end falters because it relied on mythical belief instead of the realism it suggested. 11-Jul-2026

The Mummy (2026) Woof

Child is kidnapped in foreign country and resuscitates as a mummy 8 years later. How does a family that is established deal with that kind of return? Half and half. The showdowns were based on cliches but the child astounded and the staff was on it. The visuals were full of creativity and hauntings. I keep remembering them. I was curious, spooked and entertained. 08-Jul-2026

Project Hail Mary (2026) Arf

I zigzagged to the point of disappointment. The sun will cease to exist in 30+ years unless somebody figures a way to save it. A science professor that treats his students like he's Barney is earth's only hope. Sandra Huller takes charge of the project and our attention. Once the basics were revealed the flashbacks destroyed my belief. An ordinary man is tasked with saving a humanity that lacks it. The flashbacks did not move the concept forward. The rock gave me pause but I relented because Mr. Gosling was in supreme mode. I ended up resenting it and it's lack of imagination. I had a pet rock as a kid and nothing good ever came of it. I lost it when somebody threw it at me and I began to bleed and scream. The main character is the least descriptive because he was cast as a loner who had nothing to live for. Beauty has no connections? Odd. Huller's character was diminished by a lack of side story. The karaoke characterization spoke of a different spirit not evolved. For some odd reason, I kept comparing it to Armageddon but decided that was impossible. I enjoyed Armageddon. 05-Jul-2026

Pillion (2025) Woof

Subservience in a relationship obtains power by letting another decide one's fate in it. A master's strength is holding a position that intimidates without absorbing the frailties that can make a heart break. Love is the rarity that dissolves that type of union. The film pensively explores two men defying normality and denying the truth. Mama sheds light, the mannequin delivers and the son wakes up to a fitting end. 26-Jun-2026

Millionaire Dollar Nannies (2026) Arf

The things taken for granted were it's most telling. A mother misconstrues that motherhood is about gestures when her backbone is to gift life skills to a child. Survival skills can be inspired by anyone not just the parent. The hypocrisy surrounding the kids was sad. Everyone performing tricks in front of the children for the sake of a selfish purpose is not honorable work. The nannies were as much equipped as AI to care for children and the parents abided by that. AI is not as threatening as a hot nanny who can fuck a rich daddy out of a family. 19-Jun-2026

Boroughs, The (2026) Arf

It was perplexing, had a home-schooled child mentality and the whole started to feel tiresome. The legends jumped into a rabbit hole that's endless and repetitive. I expected something different. 26-May-2026

Boys, The (2019-2026) Woof

The finale fell short of expectations. We expected an Avengers-type showdown, footage of Homelander struggling to tear into Butcher's dick, a deeper dive into Starlight, The V members showing up to fight and something to live for besides Homelander and Vought. The show wasted too much time on the structure instead of what built it. Great characters, outrageousness, a little bit of heart and style. 24-May-2026
Besides the maestro, Starlight's rejuvenation was my favorite thing. 22-Jul-2024
Homefucker took twitch to its ultimate, grew from it and became remarkable. Someone invited Smirk to the party so he can curse it? He's still smirking away and sounding like a condescending cunt. The twist befits him like a glove. Yes, I would submit to his gravelly words and old man charms. Is that all A-Train or are there other plastics involved? Nice. Mama's Milk has the right amount of daddy issues. Kimiko and Frenchie are still a power couple even though Frenchie has accent disabilities. Star watt. Starlight's abilities were stifled. The series made me realize that Karl Urban can be fun. Quaid can get away with a lot. Sage was waiting for this all her life and she's acing it. The Deep is reenacting some personal memories. Respect. There are stalling tactics that defy reason. The enemies keep bumping into each other but nobody keeps the promise to slaughter the other. One explanation should suffice. Nepo Homelander is sending Damien vibes. Anthony Starr has a grip on us. 12-Jul-2024
Twitch daddy twitch. 24-Jun-2022
The season belongs to daddy Homefucker. 24-Jun-2022
Shue clenches frustration devoutly, Starr chomps evil gleefully and the end punctuated surprisingly. 26-Aug-2019

Send Help (2026) Arf

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the shot of Dylan's butt. It was just as expected. Knightwing be damned. 15-May-2026
It was a mixed bag. The story depended on actor magnetism and camaraderie. Dylan and Rachel outmaxxed their credit. When does a character become an actor's most iconic? When it suits them. Splashes of originality can't negate that it's not really a horror movie but a parody of ethics. Sloppy employee becomes stranded on an island with a wounded boss that refuses to promote her. A battle of the sexes ensues. The battle for survival is glossed over. A survivor in the making does not inherit skills so easily without some background and yelp. She learned all this from Youtube? The only way a woman can control a man is if he is unstable and there is no one else around. The coincidences were great choices that were parodied instead of being treated as dramatic arcs. The refrigerated salvation gave me poppy shudders. WTF? The biggies may have stepped out during it because that felt out of place. 15-May-2026

Lord Of The Flies (2026) Arf

Minorities walk in white men's shoes without stamping their own soul into them. Adding diversity should have abetted the clash and turned the whole shebang upside down but no one dared. The camera lingered on things that didn't resonate because of repetition. Simon's story was its most riveting and the least thought out. There was obvious sexual tension between him and Jack yet we go through a diary adventure that says very little. Jack's metamorphosis is not based on anything except being a spoiled brat and not a homophobic cunt. Everything has a reason and things that don't aren't because we can't accept them. The flashbacks bored with common words and little attention. The plane crash was a blip whose recreation would have added much suspense and adventure. It would have also added depth to the characters. Why did some kids appear immaculately dressed after the crash? Survival skills were minimal. It was environmentally ignorant. There was no wildlife exploration or fascination. After the hunt there was no explanation on how the kids cut the thing up and cooked it. I wanted to know. If a fire took a chunk of the forest why didn't the kids have to travel to find new fruit? Why did nobody fish? Sharks, anybody? No one got sick? The boys wrecked like Anthony Hopkins and it was exquisite. Piggy was an old soul, Jack was savage, Simon was haunting and Ralph was blackish. The shots were panoramic and eloquent. The island mystery was ripe for a switch but it didn't happen. The ending was a disappointing burp. It was gas all along. 10-May-2026

Wuthering Heights (2026) Howl

Fennell is a diva whose use of instruments compliment her. Margot's Catherine is an untamed delicacy that can't sit still. Elordi's naughty edge was electric. Together they roar through an often told tale, commanding emotions as it rolls along. The movie is rustic, challenging and sexually explosive. Everything seems out of place except for the truth that romance is devastating. 03-May-2026

Good Boy (2025) Arf

The dog said, "get me outta here!" whilst the humans yelled "WTF?!!!!!," just for the hell of it. 02-May-2026
It is disconcerting to think of a dog living in darkness for a good portion of its life. There were no lingering impressions that the dog was ever comfortable. Though the idea of a dog's view of a haunting is fresh and experimental, there were too many shadows to cast a good light. Even though Indy was brilliant his light should have been shared otherwise we are to think that our pets don't see us. I wanted to hug it. The scares don't cling to a mythology of substance but having a baby experience them gave it a protective chill. Effort exists but I understood the dog better than the haunt. 02-May-2026
