Catholic priest busted sexting an underage boy & offering to be his “sugar daddy”
The FBI has arrested Catholic priest Francis Hughes yesterday for allegedly sexting an underage boy.
“How would you like to be spoiled by your grandpa?” the 65-year-old pastor at the St. Pancras Roman Catholic Church in Queens, New York is accused of asking a 15-year-old boy in a text message.
He talked about masturbation with the teen and told him, “Its one of the great things about being a boy. You get to relieve your horniness whenever you want.”
“How would you like to be spoiled by your grandpa?” Hughes asked. The two discussed Hughes sending money to the victim and the pastor even asked how the victim would hide it from his parents.

WA teen accused of child exploitation ring links, charged with ‘abhorrent’ sex child abuse
A WA teenager has been charged with more than 200 child sex offences for allegedly abusing boys as young as three.

Police will allege the man is linked to a national online child exploitation network and sexually assaulted five boys, who were aged between three and 11 and known to him through family and friends, between 2014 and 2020.

Bishop: North Carolina priest kept on leave on abuse claims
A Catholic priest in North Carolina will remain on administrative leave after allegations of sexual abuse against him were revealed last year, the Charlotte diocese's bishop said.
Bishop Peter Jugis made the announcement to St. Matthew parishioners in a letter Wednesday, writing that he had accepted the recommendation of the diocese’s Lay Review Board to keep the Rev. Patrick Hoare out of ministry, The Charlotte Observer reported.
Hoare was originally put on administrative leave in December after the diocese received “an allegation against him of child sexual abuse that was said to have occurred in Pennsylvania more than 25 years ago, before Father Hoare entered ministry” the Charlotte Observer quoted Jugis as writing.

'We Have A Black People Problem': Facebook Worker Claims Racial Discrimination
A Black Facebook employee is accusing his employer of racial discrimination.
In a complaint filed Thursday with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Oscar Veneszee Jr. said the social network does not give Black workers equal opportunities in their careers.
"We have a Black people problem," Veneszee told NPR. Veneszee is a Navy veteran who recruits other veterans and people of color as part of diversity initiatives at Facebook's infrastructure division. "We've set goals to increase diversity at the company, but we've failed to create a culture at the company that finds, grows and keeps Black people at the company."
Veneszee, who has worked for Facebook since 2017, filed the employment discrimination charge along with Howard Winns, Jr., and Jazsmin Smith — both of whom Veneszee recruited — who said they applied to work at Facebook but had not been hired, they alleged, because they are Black. The claim, they said, was filed on behalf of "all Black Facebook employees and applicants to Facebook."

In 2012, a number of former students said they were sexually assaulted by priests who worked there.
At least 60 deaf students were assaulted by members of the religious community and lay people working at the school between 1940 and 1982. The school changed its name to the Institut Raymond-Dewar in 1984.

This is a moment of reckoning on race for White Christians
Growing up in the South, Robert P. Jones attended Southern Baptist churches, Sunday schools, even a Southern Baptist college.
But it was only in seminary, in his mid-20s, that Jones says he learned the full truth about Southern Baptists' white supremacist roots. The denomination was founded to defend slavery and did not formally rebuke its past until 1995, when Southern Baptists voted to apologize for their history of racism.
Jones was a social scientist before he realized how stubbornly racist ideas can persist in White churches.
"Rather, as the dominant cultural power in America, they have been responsible for constructing and sustaining a project to protect White supremacy and resist Black equality," he writes. "This project has framed the entire American story."
"White Christian churches have not just been complacent; they have not only been complicit," he writes in his book, "White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity," publishing next month.

Youth pastor claims he was kidnapped by black men to avoid admitting why he was in a hotel room
Christopher Keys has been arrested and charged with solicitation of sodomy for attempting to hire a male prostitute. Unfortunately for Keys, his hoped-for night with the hooker cost more than he anticipated.
Keys was robbed by two masked men in his hotel room, but instead of telling his family the truth, he claimed he’d been kidnapped by two black men. Once the wild story made its way to Facebook, the whole story crumbled as quickly as the good pastor’s reputation.
Keys admitted to the police why he was at the hotel and an employee told officers that he was a frequent visitor to the location. According to the police report, he admitted that he is married but told officers, but “he liked to play around.”
