Restaurant closes for 'day of kindness'
This Massachusetts restaurant has a tip for rude diners – be nice, or don’t eat.
The owners of Brewster-based Apt Cape Cod decided to shut down for a "day of kindness" after a slew of customers apparently mistreated its staff, cursed and demanded take orders before the restaurant even opened for business.
"There were a few incidents that were so horrendous – the cursing and not being understanding of our short staff and limited menu – we had someone call in at 6:30 a.m. before we even open demand take out saying, ‘I’m going to come in, and you're going to serve me," Emilia Povero, a manager at Apt Cade Cod told FOX News. "That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Our staff doesn't need to deal with this."

Mejico refuses to allow 1,000 American Cruisers to disembark
The Jalisco state health department considered allowing each of the 1,035 passengers off the MS Koningsdam, which has at least 873 crew, as long as they turned in proof of negative COVID-19 tests, Mexican news outlet Milenio reported.
But, officials soon did a u-turn over fears that the outbreak could have spread further than the 21 infected crew members.
'This option was discarded because the health protocols indicate that no one could disembark when positive cases were registered on the boat, so the decision was finally made not to disembark,' the health department said in a statement.

My Grandma Found Out I’m Gay and Banned Me From Christmas.
I am 19 years old, and a few months ago I came out to my parents and siblings. Everyone has been very accepting and loving. The problem is this: My younger sister told my uncle and aunt that I am a lesbian. (It was not done maliciously.) They’re top-of-the-line homophobes. They told my grandmother, who is now banning me from Christmas festivities that we celebrate every year.
I told my parents to just go without me and, while reluctant, they would like to go just to smooth things over. As we get closer to Christmas, I am getting depressed at the thought of being alone for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I could go to my friend’s house, but that seems pathetic. Please help!

California’s state travel ban covers one-third of America
“Ohio’s decision to condone attacks on the health of its nearly 400,000 LGBTQ+ residents was widely opposed by the state’s medical community. It’s plain that this law only serves to discriminate,” said Assemblyman Evan Low, D-Campbell, who wrote California’s travel ban law. “We will never put Californians at risk of falling victim to the same toxic standard by supporting the use of taxpayer dollars for travel in places where anti-LGBTQ discrimination is the law of the land.”

Southern California travelers warned not to transport backyard citrus fruit
The transport of backyard oranges, lemons, grapefruits and kumquats is illegal in most of Southern California, which is under a citrus fruit and plant quarantine. That’s because movement of fruit, citrus trees and even seeds can unknowingly spread a pest that can infect healthy citrus trees with a deadly plant disease that has no cure.
“Any citrus grown in your yard should not be moved,” explained Victoria Hornbaker, director of the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Division at the California Department of Food and Agriculture. “You can share them locally with neighbors.”
By locally, she means within your neighborhood. And if you do share fruit with neighbors, make sure you strip off all the leaves and wash the fruit thoroughly before moving it from your property, to remove any trace of the ACP or leaves infected with HLB.

People Buy Custom Baby Monkey Torture Videos on World’s Worst Forum
While some of the videos posted to Facebook are upsetting, the content on the forum (which has since been deleted by its host) and Telegram group is genuinely shocking and gruesome. Users are paying to “adopt” baby long-tailed macaques in Indonesia that are then subjected to brutal torture based on their requests. Users can choose between buying their own monkey or a “share” in one.
In one video, a monkey screeches as its finger is cut off. In another, a monkey is kicked repeatedly in the face and then waterboarded. Other videos show, among other things, monkeys being flayed, pierced, cut, beaten, and burned. Other screenshots show a baby monkey tied to a crucifix.
