NYPD cop resigns after he is charged with sexually abusing 11-year-old girl

An NYPD cop accused of masturbating in front of a 10-year-old girl resigned on Monday after another arrest — this one for allegedly sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl, police and sources said.

Shaun Frazier, 40, who had been suspended without pay following his Sept. 2019 arrest, was caught in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania on Saturday and extradited to New York on Monday, police sources said.

He was charged in Brooklyn with criminal sexual act, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Frazier’s newest charges were brought following an internal affairs investigation and are alleged to have occured in 2017.

The alleged victim in that case is a family friend who was 11 at the time, sources said.

Woman Clashes With Her Husband After They Agree To Take In Her Deceased Best Friend's Children

My best friend passed away unexpectedly nine months ago. It was not something that I ever thought would happen.

"She left behind 3 children, 8[Male], 4[Female] and 1[Female]. My husband and I were written to be her children's godparents."

We have never wanted children of our own and do not have any, but we accepted the role of being godparents because we figured that it's just a formality. Plus my best friend did not have many other people she could rely on."

"I want the children. My husband does not. He said he's willing to take care of them on weekends or something but not be their permanent guardian."

"He said keeping the children would violate a pretty big part of our marriage, considering he has never wanted children and has even got a vasectomy to prevent them."

'Why are you the only guy who shouts questions?' Biden loses it at CBS correspondent who asked if he'll help get more kids back to school after his COVID task force said classrooms are safe - then tells the press to leave

President-elect Joe Biden got testy with a CBS News reporter who asked him a question on Friday about his plan to get children back into classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tense exchange took place just as Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were wrapping up a meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in Wilmington, Delaware.

‘In my Oval Office, mi casa, you casa,’ Biden, who turned 78 years old on Friday, is heard telling the senior Democratic Party leaders.

At that point, a Biden aide asked the assembled gaggle of reporters to leave as the photo op concluded.

Why Men Are Bad At Casual Sex

Dan only lives two streets away from me, so I can’t just blame bad luck when I bump into him on the way to the shop wearing the “Don’t Mess With Yorkshire” novelty T-shirt my dad bought me when I moved to London. Dan swings over on his bike, the two corners of his checked shirt flapping in the wind, like a character from a Harmony Korine film.

“How’s it going, B?” he asks, and I’m so embarrassed by my appearance I want to dissolve into the sewer grate under my feet.

For some reason, I invite him over again. He says he’ll be over in 20 minutes, so I shave my legs over the bath, rub cream blush into my cheeks, put on this powder-blue ribbed lounge set that I saw on Instagram.

“I might actually just go to sleep,” he texts me five minutes later, and I just say, “No worries,” because how can you get annoyed at someone you’re not supposed to rely on? But then he says: “If you send me a nude, I might change my mind.” I take a selfie of me with my top open so you can see my boobs, another with the camera balancing on the radiator with me bent down in front of it. “Damn,” he said. “I’ll let you know what I’m doing in a bit.”

You’re Just Not His Tribe: Rejection and the queer community

Getting older and wiser doesn’t mean you’ll face less rejection. In fact I think most of us would agree that you’ll encounter it more.

Take dating, which is primarily a social dance of rejection and attraction amongst the billions of people who’ve inhabited our planet. Technology has had an immeasurable effect on meeting and courting and coupling. At no other time in history has mankind had the ability to browse an infinite pool of potential partners each day, filtered for you by location, hobbies, fetishes, degrees, etc. I could, potentially, use Grindr’s Explore feature to place myself in Tokyo, meet a guy on the app, and be sipping warm saki with him in a week’s time. Were you to tell someone about this ten years ago, they’d side-eye you before looking back at their Blackberry.

On the flip side, dating has never brought about the sheer volume of rejection we currently face. One hundred guys can reject you on Grindr in a day—more, if you’re tenacious. Mythology suggests that the Greek poet Sappho threw herself off of a cliff due to her unrequited love for a ferryman named Phaon. Imagine if she’d been rejected one hundred times in a day? There aren’t enough cliffs in the world.

Prosecutors warn Cardi B that plea deal over strip-club brawl may expire

Queens prosecutors’ patience with Cardi B appears to be wearing thin, as they warned Wednesday that a plea offer over her alleged involvement in a strip-club brawl may not be on the table much longer.

Plea-deal talks with the Bronx-raised “WAP” rapper have been going on since early 2019 and remain open — despite Cardi’s legal team initially rejecting the offer over a year ago.

But Assistant District Attorney Ryan Nicolosi suggested Wednesday that the clock was ticking.

Pride Banners Incite Furor in Utah Town and Are Effectively Banned

The City Council in Heber City, Utah, has approved limitations on what banners can be hung on city-owned light and street posts after receiving complaints about LGBTQ+ Pride flags.

People in and around the town of 16,000 have called the flags “odd,” “political,” and “disturbing,” The Salt Lake Tribune reports, and wondered if allowing Pride flags would mean the city would have to allow Nazi or Confederate flags — which no one has tried to display. The outcry led the council to consider the ordinance, which it adopted unanimously Tuesday.

City Council member Mike Johnston said he did not object to Pride flags but worried they would draw an “ugly response.” “That’s what really bothers me,” he said. “We don’t actually have a way to prevent the ugliness.”

Showtime fires Paulie Malignaggi over controversial remarks on racism, racial oppression

Showtime Boxing returns tonight (August 1st) from Uncasville, CT with a vacant WBO bantamweight title between Tramaine Williams and Angelo Leo as the main event, but the broadcast will not feature Paulie Malignaggi’s analysis. In fact, Showtime has axed Malignaggi altogether.

Boxing Scene first reported that the retired former world champion was removed from Showtime Boxing broadcasts for comments he made back in April in an IFL TV interview that he apparently refused to apologize for. When the apology wasn’t issued, Showtime gave Malignaggi the boot. Abner Mares will take his place at least for tonight’s broadcast.

Now we get to Paulie. He directly addressed Haney’s comments by saying that through boxing history, the sport has been dominated by different racial/ethnic groups, and he claims that African-American fighters are no longer the dominant force in boxing like they were in the 30-50 years ago.

There’s a Divide in Even the Closest Interracial Friendships Including ours.

It was one of those perfect California nights, not too cold or too hot. Ann’s backyard was strung with lights and punctuated with the cheerful buzz of conversation as people milled around with glasses of rosé in hand. She had offered up her patio as the venue for a friend’s birthday party. And—even better—Aminatou happened to be in town. She was in Los Angeles for a work trip and had been looking forward to attending the backyard soiree because she knew and liked the birthday girl and many of the other guests.

When she showed up, the party was already in full swing. Aminatou found that the snacks were delicious and the mood lovely. But what should have been a fun night celebrating and catching up with friends turned sour when Aminatou noticed that she was the only Black person milling around Ann’s back patio.

Two Texas police officers fatally shot while responding to a domestic disturbance

Two police officers in McAllen, Texas, were killed while answering a domestic disturbance call Saturday afternoon, according to the police chief.

The officers were shot by a suspect as they approached the door of a home, McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said during a press conference Saturday evening.

"The officers never had a chance to suspect a deadly assault on them, much less death, at that moment in time," a very emotional Rodriguez told reporters.

HGTV’s Erin Napier Is ‘Turning Off’ Instagram Comments Until 2021 After Calling Out Trolls

Erin Napier knows social media can be a dark place — and now she’s taking matters into her own hands and changing the way people can interact with her posts.

The Home Town star, 34, previously opened up about Instagram bullies having taken an emotional toll on her, and on Thursday morning she announced on that platform that she’s taking significant steps towards taming those trolls by turning off comments on her posts until 2021.

“Turning off comments till 2021 feels like a good move,” she captioned a photo of her and her husband (and HGTV co-star), Ben, 37. “It’s getting harder to shoulder every opinion from every direction at all times about everything when everyone is freaking out constantly. There’s too much noise.”

She used an analogy to explain how social media can be deceiving, and explained that commenters often react without seeing the full picture.

Keke Palmer Responds to August Alsina: 'I Feel Attacked, But It's Not About Me' (UPDATE)

Keke Palmer appears to have responded to August Alsina's scathing tweets via Instagram, writing "I want to post screenshots, but I won’t."

Seems like Keke's taking the high road on this one, adding that she'd spare the singer by recognizing that he's probably going through it right now given this whole Red Table Talk situation.

"Yes girl. August was never my man lol," she wrote. "That’s why you’re still reaching to this day to figure out nothing."

"U absolutely right.I was NEVER ur man," he responded. "You could possibly never shortie. It seems u mad u got curved,

260,000 sign petition to block film starring Paris Jackson as Jesus

A forthcoming film starring Paris Jackson as Jesus has been denounced as “Christianophobic garbage” in an online petition to prevent its release, which has attracted more than 260,000 signatures.

The casting of Jackson, a model and actor who is the daughter of the late pop star Michael Jackson, opposite Bella Thorne and musician Gavin Rossdale in the film Habit was announced in April. The plot synopsis suggests that Thorne plays a “street smart party girl with a Jesus fetish [who] gets mixed up in a violent drug deal and finds a possible way out by masquerading as a nun”. Jackson’s “gender-bending take on the religious figure” was reported to include “a nose ring, tousled waves and a traditional robe”.

The petition, which names Warner Bros and Lionsgate as its targets, claims that Jackson will play Jesus as a “lesbian”, though there is no mention of this in any publicly available reports of the film. The petition also claims the film is “blasphemous” and that it is “Christianophobic garbage that is spread nowadays, but is somehow accepted and praised by society”.

Mother Denied Service Because Of Her Son’s ‘Athletic’ Clothes Hires Civil Rights Attorney

Following the apology by a Baltimore restaurant, after the manager refused service to a Black woman, Marcia Grant, and her son, Dallas, because of his “athletic” clothes, the mother has retained a civil rights attorney.

Grant and her spokesperson, Michelle Watts, told TMZ that the apology was not sufficient given the longstanding practices of discrimination at other restaraunt’s owned by Atlas Restaraunt Group.

Restaurant Group Apologizes and Changes Policy After Black Woman and Her Son Were Denied Service

Atlas Restaurant Group has issued an apology after one of their Baltimore restaurants denied service to a Black woman and her 9-year-old son because of how he was dressed.

On Monday, a video posted on social media showed the woman, Marcia Grant, being turned away at Ouzo Bay in Baltimore’s Harbor East after an unidentified manager tells Grant that her son’s outfit violates the restaurant’s dress code, despite a white boy at the restaurant wearing a similar outfit to her son.
