The Push for Puberty Blockers Got Ahead of the Research

The case that Prelogar and Strangio wanted to make is that state bans on puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery for minors with gender dysphoria should be subject to enhanced scrutiny because they violate the Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection. If girls can take blockers to postpone female puberty, why can’t dysphoric natal boys take the drugs to avoid male puberty? If teenage biological males can be prescribed the male hormone testosterone, then why not biological females? “What the birth males can do that birth females cannot do is receive medical treatment to live and identify as boys,” Strangio argued. “And what birth females can do that birth males can’t do is receive medical treatment to live and identify as girls.”

As the LGBTQ population ages, and seeks health services, whether for physical or mental health needs, Moone said clinics and providers that are truly welcoming to the LGBTQ community will be more important than ever. “Providers can’t just slap a rainbow flag on the front door. Sure, that’s a cue about the culture of the provider, but more welcoming avenues are still needed,” he said.

Some of these signals to LGBTQ patients include waiting room images of same-sex and nonbinary couples, literature that provides actionable and appropriate resources on topics relative to health and aging, and accurate language on clinic intake forms.

Employee Caught on Camera Using Floor Mop to Clean Tables at N Fl Restaurant

A fast food restaurant is apologizing after an employee at a North Florida location was caught on camera using a floor mop to clean the top of tables.

The video, shot at a Burger King located in the Jacksonville area, shows the employee using the mop on the table before going back to using it on the floor.

NBC affiliate WBBH-TV reports the company released a statement apologizing for the actions of the employee, calling it “unacceptable” but did not say if that worker had been disciplined.

Has the left 'cried gay' too soon?

To my friends on the left, their use of hyperbolic messaging against this bill – regardless of their motivation – is a failure of democracy. For instance, the word "gay" does not appear at all in the text of the bill and the phrase "sexual orientation" appears only twice. Also of important note, the bill applies only to the youngest groups of students – kindergarten through third grade. Couple these facts with the onslaught of misplaced activism displayed on media networks, activists, leaders and media elites failed the American people by creating a faux crisis.

Doctors warn vaginal rejuvenation wastes money, shows no benefit

“Vaginal rejuvenation procedures are being used for the treatment of urinary incontinence and GSM, as well as for less clear indications (e.g., vaginal tightening for better sexual satisfaction), without good evidence that it helps any of these conditions,” the authors noted in the paper.

In a comment to Medscape, Kelly reiterated that expensive and unproven laser procedures are being marketed to women as a viable solution.
