Christian moms attacks Gillette for ads depicting women who shave

“The current “How to Shave ‘Down There'” commercial by Gillette Venus shows a woman explaining and demonstrating how to shave her bikini line,” One Million Moms staffer Monica Cole claims in an email blast sent out yesterday.

“While the woman is posing in her shaving position the camera zooms in for close-up shots of her bikini line as she discusses shaving between her legs.

“This inappropriate commercial is airing during prime time when children are likely watching television so family viewing time is ruined,” Cole claims. “It is so suggestive it’s disgraceful. Can you imagine what goes through the mind of a child when he sees this ad?”

Just 4% of Hispanic or Latino people prefer the term 'Latinx

The findings from Gallup are consistent with another survey by the Pew Research Center from 2020, where researchers found that only one in four Hispanic or Latino adults had even heard of the term "Latinx." Only 3% of them used it to describe themselves.

Tennessee girl, 8, is rescued from an ISIS detention camp in Syria after her American mother ran away to join the terror group and was killed in an airstrike

An 8-year-old girl who was born in America and grew up under ISIS rule has reportedly been rescued from a Syrian camp and is now waiting to hear whether she can return to the United States.

Aminah Mohamad was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 8, 2011 to an American woman and a Swedish father.

She has been living under ISIS rule since her parents joined the terrorist organization in 2014 and was recently sent to a Kurdish-controlled detention camp for people with ties to the Islamic State.

Progressive Dems fight to defund the police as party moves on

Progressive Democrats are irked by talk from President Biden and national Democrats looking to move the party away from the anti-police rhetoric of 2020.

"Since the last election the moderates have been moving away from it," state Sen. Jabari Brisport told The Post. Brisport — a socialist — warned that embracing cops would bring consequences from his perennially restive comrades.

NYC Institutes New Curfew at Washington Square Park Over ‘Disorderly Behavior'

The NYPD made the decision to close the park early on weekends in conjunction with NYC Parks, citing problematic behavior which has included "jumping on vehicles, making threats to officers, throwing objects such as bottles and other objects at police and in one instance throwing unknown objects at responding FDNY and EMT vehicles which were responding to a building fire.”

"I feel like that's just gonna ramp it up a little. I don't know, regulations don't... regulations make people a little more amped," said Caitlyn Huggins.

The Problem With the Rap Antihero

Many people can relate to feeling as “lost” as YoungBoy Never Broke Again recently admitted to being on live stream, or like they’re Dying to Live, as Kodak Black expressed on his critically acclaimed 2018 album. They’re two men seemingly bound to the institution of anti-Blackness, whose music grapples with the challenges of becoming more than what racism projected for them. They express the confusion of what it looks like to be a productive member of a society that resents you. In that manner alone, they are relatable figures to many. In a vacuum, their resilience, like that of any artist who defied the odds of systemic oppression, is admirable. But they didn’t get away from poverty without trauma that’s still hurting people. Both men have been accused of committing abuses against women, including Kodak’s open rape case.

We love antiheroes and complicated figures, and can acknowledge the ways in which the system preys on young Black men, but as long as we pretend that their upbringing completely stifles their agency, we allow them to avoid accountability for their actions. To be “complicated” is a patriarchal privilege. When Cardi B or Azealia Banks admit their past misdeeds or act out on social media, they aren’t contextualized; they’re policed.

'Dr. Phil' Ranch Abuse Scandal: What to Know

Phil McGraw is wrapped up in a new scandal after sending multiple young guests to a treatment facility that has been accused of abuse. It began with a lawsuit filed by Hannah Archuleta, who appeared on Dr. Phil in 2019 and then went to the Turn-About Ranch. Now, other past guests on the show are coming forward with similar stories, including rapper Bhad Bhabie.

According to a report by The Sun, Archuleta's lawsuit says that she was sexually assaulted multiple times while in the Turn-About Ranch program and was punished for speaking out about the abuse. Archuleta did not accuse McGraw of any wrongdoing, but Bhad Bhabie has. In a video released on Friday, she demanded a public apology from McGraw for herself and other teenagers he sent to the ranch.

Fitness-obsessed dad made daughter sign ‘contract’ to never get fat

A fitness-obsessed British man made his daughter sign a lifelong “contract” promising to never get fat — and weighed her almost daily as he ruled his family with an iron first, according to a report.

Rachid Khadla, 56, faces charges of child cruelty and assault over his alleged treatment of his now-adult daughter, Amira, and sons, Hicham and Karim, Hyde News & Pictures reported.

“I, Amira Khadla, will never let myself get fat. I will do lots of exercise to make sure I will never get fat, even until I die,” Khadla’s daughter wrote in her 2012 agreement, a court heard.

13-year-old girl lied about French teacher who was later beheaded, her lawyer says

A 13-year-old schoolgirl confessed that she lied about a French teacher who was beheaded after showing his class cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, according to the girl's lawyer. Samuel Paty, a secondary school teacher in a town near Paris, was killed last October by a radical Chechen teenager after showing the cartoons to students during a civics class about free speech.

"Everything in the investigation showed very early that she lied," the Paty family's lawyer Virginie Le Roy told RTL radio on Tuesday.

She said she was "skeptical" of the version of events recounted by the girl. On Monday, the girl's lawyer, Mbeko Tabula, told AFP, "She lied because she felt trapped in a spiral because her classmates had asked her to be a spokesperson."

Shelley Duvall On Dr. Phil: I Found Out The ‘Hard Way’ What Kind Of Person He Is

Shelly Duvall is the subject of an unexpected — yet lovingly written — profile in The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.

The reclusive co-star of the 1980 film “The Shining” — who fled from Hollywood to Texas for unknown reasons nearly 30 years ago — had made only one TV appearance after fading into obscurity.

In 2016, she was a guest on “Dr. Phil” in an interview widely panned for being exploitative of someone with a mental health condition. Most famously, Duvall told host Phil McGraw that she believed that Robin Williams, her co-star in the 1980 film “Popeye” who died by suicide in 2014, was still alive and was a shapeshifter.

The pandemic is hitting LGBTQ families harder than straight people

A recent report by the Movement Advancement Project (MAP) found that LGBTQ families are experiencing disproportionate challenges due to the pandemic.

The report, based on the results of a summer survey by NPR, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, found that LGBTQ households are experiencing greater financial strain, more unemployment, and bigger struggles to balance work and childcare than non-LGBTQ households.

The report found, for example, that 66% of LGBTQ households have experienced a serious financial problem since the pandemic began, compared to 44% of non-LGBTQ households.

It also found that 52% of LGBTQ households with children have had trouble keeping their kids’ education going, compared to 36% of non-LGBTQ households that have experienced this challenge.

Healthcare has also been a huge challenge for the LGBTQ community, with 38% of LGBTQ households reporting they were unable to get medical care or delayed getting medical care for serious issues. This compared to 19% of non-LGBTQ households.

Gay and bi men are having more sex during the pandemic, despite COVID risk

Gay and bi men in the US had an average of 2.3 more sexual partners at the height of the first wave of the COVID pandemic.

Meanwhile the men reported sharp rises in their levels of binge drinking and drug use.

That’s according to a study by the Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities, University of Michigan in the USA. The authors published the study in the AIDS and Behavior journal.

They found only half the men recognized that you could get coronavirus through having sex. But 64% didn’t think they needed to reduce the number of sexual partners.

In fact, most men recognized that kissing is the highest risk for passing on COVID-19 and knew anal sex is comparatively safer.

He noted that while 94% recognized you could pass on the virus through kissing, half believed you couldn’t pass it on through anal sex.

He concluded: ‘If half the gay men in this study were any stupider we’d have to water them once a week.

Pelosi Says Salon Owes Her An Apology for 'Setting Me Up' After Footage Leaks of Her Indoor Appointment

The owner of the salon described Pelosi's appointment request to Fox News as a "slap in the face."

"I take responsibility for trusting the word of a neighborhood salon that I've been to over the years many times," Pelosi said. "As it turns out, it was a setup. So I take responsibility for falling for that setup."

Pelosi used shuttered San Francisco hair salon for blow-out, owner calls it 'slap in the face'

In security footage obtained by Fox News, and timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. Pacific Time, the California powerhouse is seen walking through eSalon in San Francisco with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose.

“I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?” Kious told Fox News, while noting that she "can’t control” what her stylists do if they rent chairs from her, as “they’re not paying” at this time.

Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard.

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. (From the footage, it appears Pelosi had some kind of covering around her neck.)
